Jonnys Cookhouse and Ice Cream Shop

The front door staff were awesome, as were the servers. We got bacon cheese burger and fish and chips. They were so flipping good. Real meat, made fresh and fish batter so crunchy. Fish didn't taste fish. Than you for always making this fun

I always come here while I visit the town of Berwick. There are always big yummy fresh burgers with fries for affordable prices. I love their ice cream and milkshake options, too.

Normally, I order online, then go to get my order. You have the option to pay in-store or pay with a credit card.

There is always wonderful customer service. I will always come back for some food.

We went there, on a recommendation, in late October 2022. Friendly helpful staff, good service and great food. We will definitely be going there again next summer.

Update: Went again in July 2024. Another great visit. We had the single patty Bacon Cheese Burger and a one piece Fish and Beer Battered Chips with a Strawberry Milk Shake. Once again the staff were very friendly and super helpful. We ate inside the little dining area

We drive 45 minutes just to eat at this place, hands down the best old school dine out food you can treat yourself too!
This milkshakes are the best I’ve ever had, I don’t remember the name of the burger but it has deep fried mozzarella and I think it has some magic in it because the happiness that comes through me when I eat the thing can’t be beat!
I wish their dine in side was open.

This is a very LONG overdue review for this burger joint. I spent 5 year living in the valley. During my time there I was fortunate enough to come across Jonny’s my first year there. In 2012. Too this day I still crave the perfection that is the Sweet Maria. Not to mention the sides are all done to perfection.

Definitely worth the visit if you're not from the area and you're driving through. Might be a couple bucks more then a burger elsewhere, but I'm happy I took the family and we enjoyed our meals.

Got a double cheeseburger with fries. They could easily charge double what they do and it would still be worth it, it’s that good. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Their beer batter fries are delicious as well. The staff member taking orders was super bubbly and friendly. Didn’t eat inside but the dining area was decorated like an old diner and was very clean. It is a must have if you’re in the area and even if you’re not it’s totally worth the drive.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!! Best food ever! We were so excited to find this after going to the Oaklawn farm. Best poutine, milkshakes and burgers we've ever had! Not to mention the banana split has real fruit not syrup. Yum yum yum! Great job guys!!!

First time going here and I can say this place is the best! Absolutely amazing food, got the chicken burger, beef burger and chicken strips. Well priced and very helpful and friendly staff! Will be adding this place to our regular places to visit when in Berwick!

This place looks amazing! They've really adapted to the changing times and have adjusted well in the way they are set up for customers. Very clearly marked with traffic direction, distancing, menu, ordering and pick up windows - lots of great variety and options on the menu! Sadly didn't have a chance to eat here but really looking forward to coming back another time when the weather is a bit nicer.

My best friend was visiting from Alberta and I planned on us spending the day in the Valley. This was suggested by a friend of mine and I googled to see the rating and everyone is raving about this place. I can tell you wholeheartedly this place did not disappoint. Even though it is currently outside dining only the food came out hot and fresh. Delicious burgers and ice creams. Everyone enjoyed their visit and we all left full and wanting more. The service was also excellent. Fast and friendly. We brought our furry friend as well and he even got himself a treat. If this place wasn't 1 hour 20 minute away from me I'd be here frequently. A fish sandwich is not something I normally order but felt compelled to do so here and I wasn’t disappointed! Two pieces of beautifully cooked fish on a fresh bun with just the right toppings. Simple and delicious. They weren’t busy so I was in luck, but I’ve been here before in the summer and had to walk away they were so busy, now I get it!

Online ordering was easy. They also provided me with updates on our order, and directions on which window to go to for pick up. Food was ready on time & pickup was easy! Food was absolutely delicious!

We decided to try this it looked busy....and we were impressed 😁..we had the garlic finger burger..it was yummy 😋...we even talked the guy behind us in line to have as well....he looked impressed with it ....each time we drove by there was always a line and a handful of people enjoying food. Will definitely go back when down that way.

I'd previously only heard things from friends about Jonny's Cookhouse, but today I got to confirm some of the stories. At least of their ice creams (but I'll be back for the burgers!).

We ordered a Banana Split with the works (pictured) and two Drumsticks (not pictured but they were a Peanut Butter one and a Regular). These things were bigger than my face! I loved the Banana Split and the others with me deeply enjoyed their Drumsticks.

If the burgers are even half as good as the Ice Cream was, then boy is my waistline in trouble!

Also, there's two lines! One's for the cookhouse/dining while the other is strictly for ice cream orders. Perfect if you want a treat without any fussing about with dinner first. 🍦🍨

Very interesting place to get some food if you are in the valley! Great food, good price and servings. Ice creams and milk shakes are the best.

This was the first time I had been at Jonny's in years as I don't get to the area often, especially at meal time. The food was good and plentiful. The girls were great, and came to check on us partway through our lunch. The absolutely only negative thing I can say is it was noisy. I think it was the air exchanger. We changed tables, but it echoed making conversation a bit more difficult.

Food is unreal, portions are large! Best poutine in the Annapolis Valley. Oh, and try the garlic finger burger it's out of this world!

Delicious food! Could have had a few more onions rings in the large, and extra ketchup packets would have been nice, but overall a great meal.
