The Food And Art Cafe

A beautiful place in downtown whitby. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The food was amazing, though slightly on the expensive side. Coffee has high caffeine, so pace yourself. I have to say that though not advertised, the French toast is the best I've had in a decade. Ordered it as a side and fell in love with it. Will visit again just for the French toast. And the tater tots were fabulous. It's amazing when a restaurant gets the basics right. The scrambled eggs looked like an omelete, but that's fine too. Hopefully, they can add some freshly squeezed juices to the menu instead of the bottled ones. Will visit again..

I had an amazing breakfast at the Food and Art Café in Whitby! The Western omelet was cooked perfectly, the crepe was delicious, and the fresh scones with three homemade jams were delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively fast—my order was served in just 3 minutes! The cozy and inviting atmosphere made the experience even better. If you’re ever in Whitby, I highly recommend stopping by for a fantastic meal and great service.

My best friend and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to the spa and this amazing little cafe blew us away!! The customer service was exceptional and the food was to die for! We were able to chat with the owners about the cafe and the food and they were the friendliest eatery we have been to!
We purchased some oven fresh scones on our way out and they were beyond kind when they also gave us a sample of each other their homemade jams.
If you are in the Whitby area, I highly recommend stopping and grabbing a bite to eat!

We have been here several times and just love it. Wish I could give the service an even higher rating! They are just amazing! I had a cranky toddler that was not cooperating with my plans to eat and the our waiter was so kind. He asked if he could take her to check out the kitchen. She had so much fun walking around with him while we had some time to eat in peace! The food is always amazing so that goes without saying! 10/10!

Its a somewhat small place, we had our daughter with us and although they didnt have room for a stroller, they had a great alternative to have her stroller seat on a high chair placed upside down! They were so accommodating the waitress was so kind and made sure it was to our liking. The food on the otherhand… WOW! Everything was overly delicious! It was so good, I completely forgot to take a photo of my dish. I upgraded my fries to a hollandaise poutine and YUM! This place definitely ranks on my top 10 favourite brunch restaurants!

Amazing food. Great portion and delicious. Price is very reasonable. Love the art work all around. It’s a busy place and recommend to make reservation. Egg was fresh and cooked perfectly. Love the poutine. Jam is home make and delicious.

Hidden gem near the four corners of whitby. The food was soooo good! I ordered the oreo pancakes and the mega benny with bacon instead of ham. The staff were so friendly and on point. Will be back to try other stuff on the menu

Took my daughters here for a mother/daughter lunch and we were not disappointed! The service was friendly and professional. The menu was varied and had something for everyone. My daughters both had the decadent chocolate waffles which was indeed decadent! Perfectly prepared. I had the Apple Blueberry Veggie Wrap. It was big enough for two people, and was delicious! We will definitely go back. Great experience. Call ahead.

I came here because of the vegan menu and I was not disappointed. The food here is exceptional they put a lot of heart into the food they serve you. The service was impeccable!! I highly recommend stopping in !

New faces, same menu! Was happy to see the vegan menu has lived on with the new owners.

Not sure why so much angst from the reviewer below about the vegan egg, they gave us the option of either the just egg or the chickpea. My wife and I got one of each so we could try both. The chickpea is definitely a more healthier chose and tasted great too! Definitely ignore that review, a little kindness and communication goes a long way.

First time trying this spot for breakfast a few weekends ago, they were super busy but were able to accommodate a table for 2. The loaded french toast is to die for, perfect combination of sweet and savory. Staff were all pleasant and consistently checking on us. Will be back!

This was my first time visiting The Food and Art Cafe. I dined in with my family and I was blown away by the service. Really great food, ambiance and service! I will definitely come back. Such a hidden gem in Whitby!

We celebrated my dad’s 80th birthday at the cafe today. What a wonderful experience we all had! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond in every way and made our time there wonderful. I would definitely recommend the cafe and will be back soon!

Tried this spot for the first time today and it's already earned a spot in our regular rotation! We thought the art of breakfast/brunch had been lost, but we are so happy to have found a gem like Food And Art.

The friendliest service, fresh and homemade meals, fun and lively atmosphere all make the café something special. Can't wait for next time!

This is my 5th visit and I’m still amazed by the food, the service and the atmosphere. I believe the staff has completely changed but that didn’t change anything in the way the food was amazingly prepared and the amazing service I’ve received! Will definitely be back again!

I always get the veggie omelette with the side spinach salad, and it is AMAZINGG. Literally to die for. Service is always super fast, and the waiters are soo friendly and sweet! I will definitely be back lots :D

Came here with my friend on Saturday and had an excellent time. It is a busy place so making reservations is a must, in order to keep the reservations running smoothly, there is a time limit for how long you will be seated. This does allow enough time to eat as the food comes out from the kitchen pretty fast. However you can't stay camped out for hours with coffee after your meal is finished.

I came here for the vegan options and our server was really helpful in narrowing down the extensive menu with some helpful suggestions. I had the vegan chicken sandwich which was really good 😋 highly recommend! Fries were great and there's ketchup at all the tables.

I'll definitely be back to try the pancakes.

As for the art, it is everywhere, in every corner and hanging from the ceilings. I believe all the pieces are for sale and there was also a silent auction for several paintings.

11/10 would fart again!

Breakfast at The Fart Café in Whitby .. was excellent!
The Art displayed all around you was stunning and really makes the experience unique and magical.
The menu had everything and would cover anyones preferences... prices were more then reasonable!

Great food! Great staff and service! Love the vibe and they are super accommodating, respond to msgs promptly for resos, it’s a very popular spot so make sure to book before hand. They have a time limit per stay but that’s understandable and more than enough to enjoy your meal and company. Highly recommended!!
