Our server Ally was so kind and made great recommendations for our food and wine. She made our night very enjoyable! Everything was so delicious and flavourful, and I will definitely be coming back.

We have been to Avanti a few times; this time, we had the first seating at 4pm before going to show. Avanti is an authentic Italian experience. We ordered Calamari, my husband had Veal Parm, and I had the Funghi di Bosco Pizza ...delicious!! Excellent food and service.

It's a culinary masterpiece that deserves its place among the pantheon of outstanding Italian dishes.Before diving into the ravioli, our evening commenced with the bruschetta and Caprese salad, a perfect way to tantalize the taste buds! the delectable Lasagna, and the irresistible Gnocchi were equally outstanding and showcased the true essence of Italian cuisine. of course, no meal is complete without indulging in a decadent dessert, and Avanti's Profiteroles dessert is a showstopper. This heavenly creation combines the lightness of delicate cream puffs with a luscious filling that oozes with rich, velvety cream and hints of contrasting flavours. Beyond the awesome dishes, the attentive and knowledgeable staff elevate the dining experience. Avanti is an Incredible culinary experience that will leave you yearning to return time and time again.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner tonight to Avanti. I loved the atmosphere and energy of the room, and the food was beautiful and delicious … the server was okay, but we had a wonderful night. Later, after we got ice cream and got home, i realized i left my purse there. I called, and when i tell you i have never laughed so hard on the phone with a stranger, i mean it. This employee, Joel, was WONDERFUL. he was thorough in the search for my purse, and personable! Made me like the place so much more and now i will DEFINITELY be returning. you’re the best joel.

I have now eaten here twice and both times it was absolutely delicious! I want to eat my way through the entire pasta and pizza menu. I have had the gnocchi al formaggi and the butternut squash ravioli. Both 5 stars but I would definitely pick the gnocchi again as the sauce was just a little bit richer and creamier. The service is also great and they were so accommodating for making tweaks to menu items for some pickier family members we were dining with. This will be a new staple place for me for sure.

Service is great, we love the crispiness of the pizza dough and the bread is so good. I've already been satisfied with the complimentary bread. Haha. The cake they served for my birthday, taste awesome. Thanks to the team!

I've been coming to this place for years. My wife and I had our very first dinner date here and 8 years later on the day of our wedding we returned to sit in the exact same seats we had as our first date. If you're looking for homestyle traditional type Italian food then this is the place. Always a comfy and relaxing atmosphere and the food is indescribable in terms of satisfaction and enjoyment. They have an amazing outdoor space that comfortable sits your whole dinner party and then some. AVANTIS holds a special place in mine and my wife's books. Highly recommend it

The best pasta and pizza is served here! This place has quickly become a favourite. Make a reservation on weekends or expect disappointments as they are only opened from 4pm - 10pm. Every-time we dine here, the place is packed which is no surprise as the stone oven pizzas and pasta dishes are excellent and so are the deserts! My personal favourites are the carrot cake and tiramisu. I don't have pictures of our main dishes as we devoured them before we could snap a shot. The only negative is the alcoholic beverages which could be improved.

Haven’t been in a few years then went end of January for my birthday. Better than I remember! The food was great, looks like it won’t be enough but then you can barely finish it’s so filling! I got an Amaretto sour and it was perfect and I liked that it came in a tall glass! It’s very busy on weekends, can’t get a reservation sometimes but we went on a Tuesday and it was not busy at all! It was kind of nice to have a quiet dinner!

Phenomenal dining experience. Our server was top notch. Great sangria! I had the seafood pasta and everything was so fresh and full of flavor. We also started with the calamari and it was the best I've had in years. Cooked perfectly!
So happy to see the restaurant full and thriving.

Delicious food! The restaurant was nicely decorated and the service was great. We went on a weekday about an hour after opening and it was quiet and the service was quick and spot on. The tiramisu is amazing, I’ve been craving it since we left!

Our server Jaime was superb! She was amazing from
beginning to end. From the hostess as well, very inviting. Food was excellent! And super fresh. I love how flavourful the dishes were! I highly recommend coming here.

My partner had the tortellini di bosco, which was a creamy and rich dish with cheese tortellini and mushrooms. We also enjoyed the calamari appetizer, which was crispy and tender, served with two sauces. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu, which was light and fluffy, with a hint of espresso. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I would highly recommend Avanti Trattoria to anyone who loves Italian food and wants to have a memorable dining experience.

Comfortable atmosphere with window seats and patio available. Staff very friendly. Nicole our server was fast, courteous and service with a smile. Mussel appetizer with tomatoe came hot. Dinner was spaghetti fruitsa mare served with shrimps, mussels and clams in white wine tomatoe sauce, very good. Free parking, good prices, recommended.

Dinner on Saturday evening. The place was packed and lined up. Thankfully, we had a reservation.

It was very well managed, we were seated with very little delay. Our server was very attentive and set us up with Cosmos and Caesars while we viewed the menu and made dinner choices, which included the Lasagna, Veal Parmigiano, and Rigatoni Bolognaise for mains.

Appetizers included Bruschetta, Cheesy garlic bread, and Escargot.
We chose from a decent wine selection and had a great evening.

Everything was served up as it should, and very tasty. We hadn't been there in a while and it did not disappoint. A perfect Saturday night out!

Amazing Italian in downtown Oshawa. We had a great dinner here with the ravioli and pizza. Excellent service, great wine and drinks. We enjoyed the restaurant itself as well. Nice atmosphere!

Haven't been to Avanti since the start of the pandemic but we were regulars until that time. Took my father in law here for a post Christmas dinner (12/27/2023) and as usual, we were not disappointed. I really have to commend our waitress, Wanda. She went above and beyond. She was attentive and friendly. The first was stellar. It was my first time trying the lasagna and it was delicious. All the food was good. So much value for the money!
