I have so many good things to say regarding Durham District Shriners Hall.   They hosted our wedding in June 2023, and from our first meeting until the "Big Day," Karin and her staff went above and beyond in every detail. It did not matter if I emailed Karin at 4:00 am on a Monday or 7:00 pm on a Saturday, she had an answer to every question I had, she was so helpful, accommodating and patient. So nice when you are an anxious bride.

My wedding day went without any trouble. All of my friends, family and guests commented on the beautiful decor and layout, and most of all, the appetizers and food - everything was delicious! There is lots of parking, and very accessible. I would highly recommend this hall for any special occasion. Thank you so much!

Karin and Claudia completely made our wedding day on August 22, 2020! We had 2 cocktail receptions and a sit-down dinner with a total of 150 people, and they catered to everyone wonderfully! They were so professional from our first meeting and throughout the entire planning process. They assisted us with any rental services we needed (i.e, linens, chairs, cruiser tables, etc.) and of course their delicious cocktail hour and dinner menu. They gave us full freedom to create our menu to best suit our special day and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! Even amongst these crazy Covid times, they pulled through without a hitch and made us feel comfortable and satisfied throughout the entire process.

It's my pleasure to leave such a positive review for Claudia and her team at Cole's Catering. My best friend selected Cole's as her caterer of choice for her July 16th backyard wedding. Cole's was not a company I was familiar with, but from the reviews I was confident they wouldn't disappoint. My best friend was not interested in a three course dinner with your typical chicken, beef and fish. She was hoping to find a caterer who would produce high quality appetizers to be circulated and a food area that guests could graze when they were hungry.

Her biggest ask was that she had a charcuterie board (because its her favourite) and as you can see from the attached photo, it was spectacular.

As a Wedding Planner, I can attest to Claudia's professionalism, attention to detail and responsiveness to emails. Her service team were very attentive to guests and made sure to get appetizers to our bridal party (including myself as Maid of Honour) whenever they walked around.

I felt like there was more than enough food for the guests in attendance and I was not left feeling hungry after a few trips to the food stations. Claudia, thank you again for giving my best friend and bride everything she asked for from you!

Thank you so much for making my husbands surprise 60th birthday party a totally relaxing day for me. I would usually be stressed out worrying about enough food for everyone. Cole's Catering Services were very prompt with their delivery, the presentation was AMAZING, the cake was beautiful (and tasty) and the Chicken/Potatoes/Veggies were a great way to end the day! We had the pleasure of using Coles Catering for our Wedding Day. Our venue was difficult as it was outdoors with no kitchen or prep area. We gave Karin and her team full creative control and trust. Her team knocked it out of the park. We were so impressed with the planning leading up to the wedding day. Karin visited the venue before the wedding to ensure everything was organized for the day. We had a beautiful tasting, and more importantly, the food was identical on the day of (if not better). We did a family-style buffet. Everything was fresh and cooked beautifully. The portions were huge! Coles Catering was beyond professional from day one. We can't thank you enough Karin and your team. The chefs, bartenders, and staff exceeded our expectations. Top-notch catering and we highly recommend it. We have had so many compliments on the food and desserts. Not to mention, the best late-night menu.

We are so grateful and cant thank you enough for making our day perfect and stress free. We know it was was tough task!

Claudia and Karin stepped in to cater our wedding reception in August 2020 with about three weeks notice! They came highly recommended from a friend and we were lucky to have found them. Claudia and Karin were incredible from start to finish! They were prompt and patient when responding to my many, many e-mails and calls. They managed to squeeze in a tasting before our event despite our short turnaround time. They even found us a bartender with a few days notice before our event!

On the day of, I had nothing to worry about - the Cole's team had everything handled to perfection. Karin surprised me by making my favorite salad as part of our meal - this was such a sweet gesture and was so so appreciated. Their staff was professional and accommodating and did a beautiful job setting up the tableware. The food was incredible and received rave reviews from our guests (I still think about the butternut squash casserole!).

We used Cole's Catering for our wedding. We had to postpone for almost 2 years due to covid. Karin and Claudia were amazing throughout the entire process, from meal specifications to accommodating our vision. The food at the wedding was outstanding, and we recieved compliments from all our guests at the reception. We will 100% be using them for all future events and will recommend them to everyone looking for catering in the future. The time, care, attention to detail, and professionalism was incredible, and I can't rave enough about how delicious the food was. We couldn't be happier with choosing Cole's Catering and thank them for making our day extra special!

THIS FOOD IS AMAZING! We chose Karin for our catering for our recent wedding in September - many, many guests came up to me after and were sooooo impressed by the food. “Da bomb” was one comment; “ummm who made this - it’s delicious I want their info”; “I wish there was more of those deserts” were some of the comments we heard. Amazing job. I didn’t yet much was the bride with all the things involved but what I did have was so good I ate it so quick and wanted more.

Would definitely use Cole’s again and would love to work with Karin again. Great job! Thank you again.

We used Cole's Catering for our backyard wedding this past weekend and they were incredible! Not only was the food fantastic (guests were raving about it!), but the staff were wonderful as well. The food was hot and fresh, even if you were the last to be served! Everything went off without a hitch and was perfectly executed.

They have a great menu with a lot of options (gf and vegan, too). One menu item that stood out was their vegetarian lasagna..out of this world delicious!

Owners Claudia and Karin were so helpful and made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. Their organization and expertise is like no other.

We can't recommend them enough! If you are reading this and looking for a caterer, don't hesitate - contact them! You will not regret it!

Cole’s Catering absolutely blew us away! They are a pleasure & easy to work with. The process of ordering & receiving our “drop off meals” went so smoothly. We were impressed because it was kind of last minute that we asked them to cater for us but they were very accommodating and professional. Best of all the food was delivered right on time, hot & ready and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were large and kept my staff energized. Everyone was impressed with the food. Karin and her team did a wonderful job for our Mom's celebration of life. The food, service and customer service was beyond excellent. The food was tasty, presented well and plentiful. I used Coles catering for my wedding this past weekend and am extremely pleased! I had passed appetizers, a charcuterie table, burger and fry station and great bartenders! Claudia and Karin were nice to deal with, answered all my questions and were easy to work with when I changed things or added to the plan the week of the wedding. I would use them again and happily recommend them to friends and family.

We used coles for our wedding catering and bartending staff. They did an amazing job! Everyone kept commenting on how amazing the food was especially the hors d’oeuvres. And the bartending staff was very friendly and fun. Karin helped us with planning to make sure everything went seamlessly. Definitely recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Cole's Catering Service over the weekend at an intimate backyard wedding. Then entire planning process with Claudia and Karin was a total breeze! They were so understanding when we kept adding more numbers to the guest list and so helpful when helping the bride decide on how much food to order for the number of guests she was going to have. Each email was responded to promptly - they were so easy to get ahold at all times! The servers that worked the event were so proficient, professional and more on time than an actual clock! They worked so hard and ensured each platter of food that came out was placed perfectly and the exact temperature. The food was AMAZING!!! Not only are they innovative with their food designs but the food actually taste fantastic!!!! Definitely consider Cole's Catering for your next event, you will not be disappointed!

Cole's Catering did an absolute amazing job catering our backyard wedding this summer (July 2021)! From the first meeting to the wedding day, Karin and Claudia were kind, informative and fun to work with. They helped shape our wedding day food service in the best way possible and adapted to our changed plans due to Covid-19. The food was incredible! All night our guests were raving about how delicious the food was - people are still talking about how much they enjoyed the food. The servers were professional and kind. My husband and I used coles catering for our covid wedding this summer, July 2021 and could not be happier with our choice.
Claudia was easy to talk to, responded quickly and made us feel at ease during the whole process.
The staff were very professional, and polite. The food was prepared and presently perfectly. We received so much feed back from our guests, specifically about the hors d'oeuvres and the cheesecake.
For future events I would most definitely use Coles catering again!!

10/10 Hands down, these guys are awesome! My bestie got married this weekend, and Coles Catering was with us Friday for the rehearsal, Saturday for the wedding, AND they catered us brunch Sunday as well. ( Those butter tarts, oh my good god, AMAZING )
They absolutely killed it! The venue set up was so beautiful. The food was so amazing. Shout out to Karen, food was on point! Tons of delicious food, everyone loved it. The staff....the staff was GREAT! They all worked their butts off non stop for two days. Anything we needed, they got us! Without any hesitation. Ally the bartender was fantastic! She remembered what the wedding party was all drinking and made it for us right away. Ally had my back, everytime she saw me at the bar, she made sure I had whatever I needed/wanted. You rock girl! And of course the one and only Claudia, the Event Manager, she knocked it out of the park! Any issues, anything we needed, she made it happen! Champion! The entire staff were all so nice, friendly, professional, and fun! The whole wedding party had a blast with all of you guys! You all worked so hard to make sure we were all fed, drinking, happy and having fun. Y'all crushed it! 👏👏👏

Karin was super helpful to us while we were planning our wedding and helped us sort out all the details for food and decorating the hall! The food was particularly excellent (I particularly enjoyed the roast beef) and some of our guests even told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding!
