Always so thorough, attentive, kind. Dr. Hodded loves the animals and makes sure she does everything to ensure their health.
They were kind and comforting when I lost my Yorkie and have been amazing with my 2 pugs.
I would love to recommend but I’m pretty sure they are currently at capacity for patients.

My dog was badly injured, rushed to this vets office and required two surgeries. She was in really bad shape and they let us bring her in immediately. I cannot express my gratitude for the staff and vets enough. They have had my girl for almost 3 weeks and have worked hard to ensure she was fixed up and is on her way back to normal. I was expecting an enormous bill for all the care my girl needed, but the final bill was far less then I had expected. I cannot say enough good things about this vet. 10/10 highly reccomend. Thank you all so much for helping my best friend 🧡

Our newborn puppy was in distress and it was decided by the on call triage assistant that he needed to be seen asap. The vet met me right away despite not being our regular vet and did a long and thorough assessment. After quite some time she told me she could keep him for assessment but his crisis appeared over and the best place for him was with his mom. We went home and he settled after one more episode and has been fine ever since. The vet was excellent and I highly recommend the Abercrombie Animal Hospital.

They truly care about animals. Without hesitation she took in my sick older dog when I was evacuating from hurricane Fiona. She kept him until it was safe for me to return. They gave him the best chance to recover and provided me with peace of mind during a stressful time. Thank you so much!

These guys are amazing! I've been going here for the better part of a decade, I'll never go to another vet again. They are so great with dogs in particular, you can tell they truly care about the animals.

I have had two of my dogs treated in emergency situations at Abercrombie Animal Hospital. They are compassionate and professional. Always keeping me informed of what was happening. I am extremely grateful for the excellent care my pups received here.

We had a dog with a tick. We called and even though they were busy they let us come in. They took care of the tick in less than a minute and were super friendly. I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

We are clients at another vet clinic and when our cats fall ill, it always seems to be on a weekend or holiday and it’s impossible to get in.
We called the Abercrombie emergency on Sunday, not expecting an answer or help, but Dr Hodder agreed to meet us at the clinic within 15 mins of our call. Our cat was lethargic, not eating or drinking or using the bathroom so we feared a blockage. She gave him fluids and treatment, and we took him home within a few hours - the next day, he took a turn for the worst again and they accepted him for a follow up without delay, provided him more fluids and treatment, and over a 2 night stay they got him back to his healthy, cuddly self. Dr Hodder gave such a thorough examination of our kitty, and all the staff were kind and patient with our checkup calls and questions - and also with providing reassurance and keeping us calm.

This Animal hospital is full of caring and kind people! They have saved a few of our animals lives and shown great care and compassion when we had to put our dog and cat down. Top notch!

Our kitten hurt her paw today and was bleeding pretty bad. We immediately called Abercrombie and they said absolutely take her in we’ll have her seen when we can. A few hours later she has antibiotics all cleaned up and back to herself! Can’t thank Dr Hodder enough ♥

Because we have our kitten through a local rescue, she was already pre registered at this vet. Our regular vet is in Truro as when we moved no local vets were taking new patients. However they said not a problem and took all our second cats information and registered him after asking about it! Because we already have the kitten there, it was not a problem at all. Such a huge relief having a vet close to home, just incase. Again thank you to the lovely workers and the amazing doctor.

Dr. Kelly Hodder was there for us in the middle of the night when our senior Golden suddenly passed away. Her care and compassion during that awful time will always be remembered. I will continue to take my other dog to this vet without hesitation.

Absolutely agree with all positive reviews and add that my Misty loves these folks. Dr Hodder is a force to be admired for her work with animals. Thanks for all that you and your staff do.

Dr Kelly is amazing. She has such a kind way with animals. They have always taken my animals in no matter what time it was. I would never go anywhere else. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I have had a lot of vets over the years being from the Halifax Regional Municipal area. I am now driving over an hour and a half to save lots of money.
The Vet is very in-tune with the animals.
She does not overcharge for services and operations.
She tends to be able to find the root of the problem and treat it efficiently unlike what I have experienced from other vets.
I have 3 Medium/Large Dogs and 3 Cats FYI

Friendly staff, great care offered. Only issue is they're short staffed and over worked. If you're worried about your pets health, these are the people I trust.

Staff are friendly and caring, I liked how the Dr giving the shots got down to our dogs level and was very calming with him and his shots went quickly with no problems.

Friendly staff, very welcoming as we went in, vet was super friendly and treated our cat as if it was her own. Definitely recommend

So great! The staff and vet were kind and very knowledgeable. The vet did a very thorough exam on our adopted pupper and was so great to answer our questions and explain things to us.
