Best little bookstore! Used and new stock, rare collections, and fantastic finds! It’s easy to navigate the organized stacks and the owner, Anna, is very knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. The store is completely full, floor to ceiling, but she also has stock in the basement and you can call to order or come in person. Prices are fair and she will do bundle pricing. Such a fun way to spend an hour or more!

this is my new favourite place. easily spent an hour and a half inside of the store searching through the amount of great books they had. the owner was a gem and happily helped me search for my entire shopping list and recommended great books as well. i bought 7 books for as little as $50. i will 100% be coming back to buy many more books. great customer service, great recommendations, AMAZING PRICES!! 100000/10, im so so happy with my purchases.

Really cozy bookstore. Aisles are tight, but you could spend a whole afternoon here checking out the shelves. Recommended!

My favorite bookstore. It's great to come by not knowing what you're looking for. Have a talk with the very friendly owner and she'll point you to something new every time.
Amazingly modest prices too.

The store was well stocked and everything was by genre as well as alphabetical by surname which made things incredibly easy to find. The owner was lovely and at checkout because I hauled a decent number of items she gave me a book that wasn't priced for free. Will definitely be going back, to purchase as well as to trade in.

Amazing book selection, there is just about every author you can think of here—and when you combine this with the fact that the owner is incredibly based and helpful to new customers, it is clear that there is no choice but for me to award 5 stars to this first-class business 🔥🔥🔥🥶🥶🥶💪💪💪🫡🫡🫡

I would give 6/5 stars if I could as Anna and the by the lake books posse always gives 110% to the store and its customers. I always have the best experience whenever I come to the store whether I interact with her or her son it is always the same amazing, friendly experience. Anna always recognizes my mom and I whenever we come in, masked and smiling, and is so well read and knows exactly what is in her store, as she always comments on the books I'm buying and recommends other books or movies or documentaries I might like based on what I'm buying. Great book selection and great prices, always able to find books for myself and books as gifts, would recommend this store to anyone looking for a great experience for book shopping and friendly conversation. They are also cautious with covid and masking so I feel very safe about the precautions taken within the store, thank you by the lake books!!!!! you are truly the best :)

Wonderful selection of books; just beware the aisles are very skinny but the workers know their items very well and can get anything you’re looking for for you!

This is a great used book store. The owner is lovely and very helpful. The decor is interesting and there are sooooo many books! I need to get back there when the weather clears. 😊
