Cabinas Manzanillo Caribe

I think the previous review might be from the disgruntled person I’m mentioning. Just to be clear. I had no problem checking in and my reservation was honored at the reasonable price of $85/night during Christmas week. I could not find anything in the area that was not a hostel or hole in the wall for less. (I’m sure; because of the holiday season) Please don’t let the previous review perturb you. We had a very pleasant time here.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. Owners and staff are very nice extremely accommodating and helpful. When I was checking in the owner was dealing with someone who was demanding a room when he didn’t have a reservation and I was surprised by how well composed he was. I highly recommend this place and me and my partner will be back.

This is mine and my husbands first time visiting the Costa Rican Caribbean, and we were expecting a lot; Cabinas Manzanillo did an outstanding job delivering just that.

Location: The hotel is located only a short walk away from the ocean, and the courtyard has plants, trees, a fire pit, and a gorgeous community area filled with patio furniture and the local tradition of hammocks, where people can come together and enjoy conversation and share in their travel adventures. In the walkable area you can easily go snorkel the coral reefs, go on jungle tours, and eat at local restaurants, and the reliable public transportation available makes getting to other towns extremely easy.

Staff: The Hotel consists of cleaning staff and the hosts. When my family and I walked up, we were greeted with smiles and a whole Pura Vida vibe. After staying here for a couple weeks, we have seen guests come and go and the staff always treat everyone with the same excitement as we received.
Ray, Natalia and Melvin always make it a point to say hello and check on our needs daily, this experience is only enhanced by their constant availability and willingness to share tips and information for the surrounding area and activities.

Amenities: The hotel room we stayed in had one of the best AC units we've experienced in Costa Rica, as well the standard TV with cable and best yet, not one but three wifis to utilize for our sons virtual school. As mentioned the hotel has a great community area in addition to a shared kitchen. There is an outside shower that proved to be extremely useful to me after a long day on the beach or out hiking the beautiful Manzanillo Refuge.

All in all, I highly recommend this place; you will get the best bang for your buck. No sense in spending thousands on "penthouse" Cabinas in the surrounding area, when this hidden gem is right there with all the same amenities, if not more, at a much better price and experience.

So, I unfortunately cannot actually review what it was like to stay here because I wasn't able to. I had booked through Google, which the owner had been trying to get rid of as there had been a lot of double bookings happening, which was what happened to be and because I didn't put down a payment and the other guests did, I wasn't able to keep the reservation. What I can review, however, is the owner, Natalia. She felt so bad about what happened and worked so hard to help me find a different place to stay. It's a holiday weekend so there were pretty slim pickings, but she was on the computer and making calls for I think over an hour helping me find a place, which, thankfully, we found a nice place near by. I really appreciated all the work she went through to help me find a place to stay on this crazy weekend! Awesome customer service! I imagine staying here would be just as great!

Thank you Pablo and Sandra! The cabina was wonderful, clean, king size bed with A/C, a walkable distance from the beach, good Wi-Fi, and a cozy shareable kitchen! Definitely would recommend!

We booked via Airbnb. Whole process was seamless. The accommodation was spotless and steps away from a brilliant sandy beach, bar/restaurant and supermarket.
Reviews are subjective - but if you want an absolutely wonderful quiet holiday then I can recommend Cabinas fully.

i really enjoyed my beautiful big room for a cheap price and hot showers were a big bonus. plus you cant beat being right down the street from the beach. really nice owner as well, thanks for a great stay!

This is the best cabinas in manzanillo for sure. Ray, Natalia and Melvin are very friendly and they are amazing at accommodating and taking care of the guests. The cabinas are always super clean and tidy. They have some events going on throughout the week when I was there, like open mic, movie night and etc. i high recommend this place to anything as they would accommodate families, group or solo travelers.

Affordable and lovely place to stay. Located basically on the beach. It’s owned by a wonderful and helpful family. It’s labeled as a hostel but it’s not. Each room as a private bathroom and private room with 1-2 beds. Will definitely stay uno mas.

Easy check in! Melvin was super knowledgeable of the area and recommended Coco lobo for breakfast. I highly recommend. This place is walking distance from the beach and located behind two delicious carribean restaurants. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice hostel with a nice neighborhood :) the coast is only 30 meters away! It is not sp big But it got what you neeed. Puerto Viejo centrum is 15m away with the car and 40 minutes on the bike. Manzanillo also got a beautiful nacional park

Very nice, comfortable, clean, prices are super affordable it's also very close to Manzanillo Beach, Sam is a great host, all the personnel was really really nice, I'll surely recommend this place to anyone who's planning to go to Manzanillo.

Samer knows what he is doing, and how to make people enjoy their stay. There was a time where we even were able to get dinner together, and gave me wonderful suggestions of what to do in both Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo. He understands the area well, is personable and understands a guests needs. If you come to Manzanillo, it would be a mistake to not stay here. Cheers Samer and I hope to see you again.

Natalia is an American super helpful host, nice&clean rooms with hot water shower and AC (hard to find)

Chulada de lugar , cabañas muy limpias , la atención muy buena , el turismo que hay en esta playa es enorme, lo mejor es reservar con anticipación si tienes planeado venir a mazanillo, por qué si no reservas puedes pasar la noche buscando hotel y no vas a encontrar, a nosotros nos pasó tuvimos que dormir una noche fuera de de este lugar y luego encontramos acá en estas cabinas. Pero nos la pasamos muy bien

Me alegra mucho que retomaran el negocio los dueños, me hospedé en una de las habitaciones con aire acondicionado, muy limpio. Las cabinas quedan súper cerca de la playa.
