It was such an amazing stay..
Reading some reviews we were sceptical but we were so surprised for a 3 star hotel and we couldn’t expect any more.
Staff is lovely, rooms are cleaned everyday,

Girl that was cleaning our room is lovely she even organised our child’s toys and folded our clothes to which service we were more than surprised. She done a super job!!! We stayed in room 411

All staff speak English apart 1 guy at night time reception which didn’t bother us at all because if you have any questions you can ask in the morning.

Anything we wanted we got.
I cannot recommend this place more.
Right in the centre, price is amazing, staff is amazing, food is 8/10.

We felt like we got more than we paid for.

We would love to come back as memories created there were amazing.

Don’t be fooled by other comments unless you are super picky.

In my opinion, this hotel is supposed to get 4 stars. Lovely and helpful staff. Meals great. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay. Very close to the beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. 2nd time we visited and guarantee there will be many more visits in the foreseeable future

Lovely hotel - clean, comfortable and felt very welcome. The pool was great, views phenomenonal. The breakfast was really good and there were so many options every morning. The beach is only a 10 minute walk and around the area are lots of restrauants and shops too. Would 100% stay here again! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Great hotel in great location close to the beach and centre of pineda de mar. Near train station gets you to other stations and Barcelona. Lovely food and service. Pool at the roof smashed it, worth to be before 10am to get sunbeds as always busy. Pub level below with more sunbeds.

Last minute booking for a week away . Didn't expect too much for a 2 star hotel , but we enjoyed our stay very much . Rooms & facilities were basic , but always clean & tidy . Breakfast was varied & plentiful . Staff were friendly & courteous . Nice space on the roof for sunbathing or relaxing . Pool was OK for a cooling off dip , but usually too busy to do much swimming . Close to the beach , train station & local amenities. Would have been nice to have had a small fridge in the room & not have to pay extra for a safety deposit key . However , overall very pleasant stay .

Came to Hotel Merce for the first time last week. Lovely hotel, all the staff were so nice and helpful, perfect location near to shops, cafes, restaurants, the beach and the a train station all only 5 minutes or less and the best thing about it was the food! (Amazing) every night there was something different but all with such delicious flavours. Definitely would come back!

Loved this small friendly, family run hotel. Lovely roof terrace with a pool. In a quiet location.
Room was ample space for my mother and l and we enjoyed our breakfast and dinners during our 5 night stay.
Staff very helpful, if we struggle asking for something in Spanish they would find a staff member with a better grasp of English. Although Google translate helped.
Lovely church next door that chimes every 15 minutes, but you get used to this.
10 minute walk to the beach and train station.

fantastic hotel, low priced, excellent food at breakfast, the evening buffet was ridiculously well priced for the quality of food served, rooms are very clean, maids clean the rooms in the day whist we were out exploring, nice pool on the roof with a bar , downstairs bar for those looking for a quiet drink. we will be back with our mother in law next time as she will love this atmosphere 😄

This is THE best hotel we have ever stayed in.Rooms got cleaned every day with fresh towels,breakfast was great and although we weren't half board we did eat i the hotel for 3 nights.

Long description:
It's mostly wheelchair- friendly (a view rooms are far away with stairs in between but the rest of the rooms and the hotel is accessable).
If you expect the blue of the sky you may be disappointed, but for this price it's really good.
Food is ok, changes every day but no indikator of what contains meat or fish.
The pool and the terrace are phenomenal. I mean you see signs of age but they make it pretty. Enough area to lay and get tanned, but also enough shade for children or people w/ sensitive skin.
Pineda the Mar won't get a price for most beautiful city but it's lovely and the people are nice. The beach is peaceful. Some seating areas are pre installed and free. Beach is mostly clean (as clean as it can get with that much rubbish in our oceans)

My partner and I have just returned from a thoroughly relaxing week at the Hotel Merce. Having stayed in some fabulous hotels all over the world, I would say the experience matches those of 4+5* rating. The staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem. We had a fantastic room (227) overlooking the church. The food was superb with something for everyone. Lovely relaxed and chilled out area of Pineda de Mar. Overall five stars from us and we will be returning!

Clean, comfortable, good prices and a nice terrace with bar and water pool. Had a good weekend in this hotel!

Drinks very pricey, but cheap and cheerful hotel

For a hotel of 3 stars, it was a great experience. Tasty and fresh food, variety and colours. The dimensions of the rooms correspond to the booking criteria. I am very satisfied of the clean swimming-pool, as well, next time, if I go to Spain, to the sea, I will definetly choose for this hotel.

Although its only rated as 3* I've rated it as a 5*. Why ?
Quite simply its the staff, they're hard working and pleasant (even the cleaning ladies), its the only hotel I've been in where I've witnessed (on 6 occasions during our 1 week stay ) customers giving the dining room staff a hug and a kiss when they were leaving after their holiday.
The wide variety of food in the buffet, beats other 5* star hotels I've stayed in..
The rooms may be small but spotlessly clean.
Whether its by accident or design in its selection of staff the management have surely hit on a magic formula, I will, like many others return again because the staff are so kind, friendly and efficient and that makes it stand head and shoulders above surrounding, higher priced hotels in nearby resorts.
The key of a successful holiday is to put you in a good relaxing frame of mind and the staff here surpass in making your holiday one to be remembered and highly recommended.
For those travelling by car free car parking is available to hotel guests.
Pineda de Mar has a steeply shelving beach of rough coarse sand so young children must be properly supervised. Its not so commercial and 'pushy' as other resorts with Spanish families intermingling with tourists enjoying the convivial evenings ambience give Pineda de Mar a happy family appeal for a friendly relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.
