Hotel Santa Susanna Resort

An honest review as we've just come home after a week all inclusive with our little boy 🥰✈.

Hotel - the hotel, site and rooms are kept immaculate and the cleaners work tirelessly. Beds are made everyday, fresh towels are given and the bin is emptied daily too.

One thing I will say is the walls in the rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything! This didn't effect us too much though as we were all shattered after all the swimming and walking we'd been doing! 😁

Food - whilst there isn't a great deal of variety, the food was actually quite tasty in our opinion (although sometimes a bit of a mismatch)! We did go out to eat once or twice, but for what we paid to stay at the hotel we genuinely cannot complain. Even our almost 3 year old ate well! The sausages at breakfast are the best ones we've had abroad yet.

The snack bar by the pool is great and we all loved their hot dogs! The free tiptops went down a treat with our little one too, he must have had 3 a day! 😉

Location - We thought the location was excellent. You are about a 15 / 20 minute walk from the beach or there's a free shuttle bus which stops regularly outside the hotel. (You'll hear the lady before you see her as she loves to beep the horn. Made me jump on a few occasions 🤣😂). You also have the option of going via the little train, which also stops outside the hotel for 5 Euro's PP.

Entertainment - There is a basement 'disco', if you can call it that down in the basement each night and sometimes music is played outside in the seating area. There is however a hotel called 'Aqua hotel & spa' in the town and they have a live DJ each night and we'd highly recommend a night out there!

Staff - The staff work tirelessly day in and day out. Some of the staff were absolutely brilliant and very friendly, whilst others wouldn't even look at you whilst serving. 😂

Drinks - The drinks were good and plentiful and the token system works well. My partner enjoyed Amstel or a malibu and Pepsi, whilst our little boy enjoyed fresh juices and myself Pepsi Max.

Further on down the road, above Pepco there's a play area which is 5 Euro's per child, for 1 hour. It's a great little play area and we'd highly recommend it! We were gutted as we only discovered this on our last day.

There's also a lovely shopping center where you can buy everything you need for an affordable price.

Overall, we had a fantastic week and met some lovely families and would definitely come back again! Some lovely memories made here for us ❤

Good size room for a couple, has a small tv with 4 english channels, family hotel so lots of children, breakfast was the usual, egg, bacon, sausage, beans or fruit , cereal etc. Lunchtime was fish, chicken dishes, pasta , veg , rice, salad fruit so lots to choose from, I didn't have alcohol but it was available, staff very helpful. My room had a balcony, beach was a 15 minute walk or get the free shuttle bus which came every hour , local supermarket was 5 minutes walk away.

Had the best week in Santa Susanna. Three single beds and a generously sized bathroom. Bathroom was a little dated but did the job, so no complaints. When the handle of the toilet flush pulled off we left a little note on the cistern in Spanish asking them to fix it please and it was all in working order when we came back that afternoon. Five stars. Beds were hard but comfy and we all slept very well. The air conditioning was very efficient and would only work if the balcony door was shut which just makes sense.
Food was excellent, with fresh fish and meats and gorgeous salads and pastas.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and were so sweet every time we used our Spanish. Just a lovely atmosphere. There were two pools and plenty of sun loungers, however there was a lot of lounger hogging going on with people leaving their towels on them, so we.only managed to get one day by the pool. We spent the other days down on the beach or exploring.

Hotel was better then expected on a budget hotel
Rooms were slightly small but we didn't spend to much time in it.

Location really good. We hopped onto the train to Barcelona and spent a night in the city.
The town it self was a 20 minute walk but they had a shuttle on all day which was great.
Drinks were good. They operated a coin system so they wasn't loads of cups everywhere.
Air con everywhere in the hotel which is good.
Great for young kids with the slides. That was good
Pools always busy but very pleasant

Overall a pleasant stay but I never stay in the same hotels so I probably wouldn't come back

Rooms were immaculate. Free bus service to the beach and shopping areas. Food plentiful and enjoyed everything I tried. Pool a good size but I can imagine the poolside area being too crowded peak season. Seems just silly to have to hand over a drinks token for a glass of water. Would definitely go back. Internet was rubbish though

I stayed with my fam and friends, and it was seriously awesome. We had all the stuff we needed. They had a pool with slides for the kids and a chill pool for adults. Everything was included! There's a small store, washing machines for laundry, and arcade games for the kiddos. The food? Really good and lots of it. We're thinking of coming back next holiday.

We had a problem with our room, so reception changed us straight away. Some of the clients get carried away with the all-inclusive drinks, but that's not the hotels fault. If you're expecting a 3 star hotel then you won't be disappointed.

The hotel is clean and spacious rooms with balconies. free bus right outside and about 30 minutes walk to the beach.

The only young that let me down was the shuttle bus into the town which wasn't every half hour it was every hour which resulted in me walking back to the hotel 4 times. Food & drink was very nice reception staff polite. Hotel boss very reasonable.

Just got back from this hotel..Must admit weather wasn't great (but they can't change that) We had a lovely time. Lots of food choices (obviously not to everyone's taste) But always something nice to eat..Hotel is absolutely spotless.Cleaners in room everyday. Always clean towels..Only entertainment was for kids but we didn't care as they enjoyed it...10 mins walk from town and beach ..But there was a shuttle every half hour if you didn't fancy the walk..Staff were lovely especially in the dining hall..Would definitely recommend and also holiday there again..

We got exactly what we expected from a 3 star hotel. Our room was clean and cleaned every day, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and catered for even the fussiest of eaters, drink selection was fab and more than we expected given what we paid for our trip, there was a little train that took you to the beach and that was free. Next door was a huge Carrefour supermarket which was handy if you needed anything.
My only negative would be that some of the other guests were quite rude to the staff, they clearly had unrealistic expectations of what a cheap and cheerful holiday looks like. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little resort. Basic but clean and cheap. The staff are all lovely and make time for you at all times. The cleaners are honest (I left money out by accident and it stayed put!)
It’s a good resort to just chill and there is plenty to do away from the resort, the price means you don’t mind going off resort from time to time.
They do cocktails if you ask - ‘zombie’ is a big hit and Amstel is on tap.
There are plenty of activities in the local area, two supermarkets in very close proximity and two well known fast food chains in walking distance if you have any picky eaters too.
There are plenty of options for meals, with plenty of fresh meat, fish, veg and fruit. There are always the ‘beige’ options too.
There is a free bus to town, or this is a 10-15 min walk away. There is a local market on a Sunday just 5 mins away for local produce and cheap clothes if needed.
The train station is also a 10-15 min walk away and the train runs every 30 mins to Barcelona which takes about an hour. We got returns for €11 each. The train ride is beautiful first thing in the morning, but later in the day passes nudist beaches 🫣
Most people don’t like the drink token rule, but some of these same people complain about drunken people in the corridors - would be much worse if the hotel didn’t try to control the amount of drinks given within the all inclusive.
The staff will cut off people who have had too much, and the night reception staff are firm but fair - they deal with unruly guests patiently and with respect even when it’s an obviously difficult situation.
I’ve been twice now and would be happy to return again.

It was sum job. It was the best hotel I've stayed in and was a nice change of pace from home met great people there,staff were friendly and always polite, view was amazing, shopping mall at ur doorstep and all inclusive what's not to like. In my opinion it's one of the best experiences I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying I would love to go back someday and would recommend to anyone looking for a carefree, relaxing and overall enjoyable holiday.

Rooms very clean, double bed and a single, ensuite with a bath with shower tap. Very good flow rate and was always hot. Air con worked a treat and was quiet enough to sleep with it on. Hotel is perfect for families, we were three adults with two kids and they both made friends. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good, I would recommend getting to the restaraunt earlier rather than later, to avoid missing out on some dishes. All staff were very friendly, bar staff were a good laugh and cleaners were always visible constantly working.

There is also a shuttle bus service to the town which is a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Had a fabulous 7 nights stay. Don't expect 5 star quality but just a fun time, with good food. I loved it.

definitely recommend ! suits all families, has a football court, football tournaments games and the most wonderful staff, rooms are small but your barely in them as there's so much to do it is within walking distance from sta. susanna train station where you can get to blanes beaches or Barcelona centre. a perfect holiday destination. markets on Sundays and by a beach full of shops with all sorts. also right next to a very hand shopping centre. 100% recommend

Amazing 7 nights spent here. Close to the beach and shops. Rooms are perfect size for couple. Staff are so welcoming friendly and amazing with all languages. Drinks are fabulous food is fab too. Definitely want to come back. No attraction open in October so bear that in mind.

For a 3star hotel very good. We spend holliday with the kids here. Food was great, kids pool was good. Rooms and hotel looks bit retro but no problem. We rent a car and you can easy park in front of the hotel. Barcelona 40min and costa brava best beaches 20min from hotel. Happy days...

We were here 7 days on family vacation (2 kids, 2 adults) and everything was excellent. The food variety was absolutely great - all kinds of fish, salads, fruits, vegetables (perfect choice for those who want to eat healthy). The pool was clean and perfect for swimming and playing with kids. Rooms were clean and nice and there was air conditioning system that worked excellent. Staff cleaned rooms every day and put some fresh towels etc. Everyone of staff members were nice, friendly and helpful. Maybe the only thing that I could wish for was better coffee - breakfast coffee with milk was perfect but in the rest of the day the coffee that was served as part of the all inclusive deal was not so good as I am used to drink caffe latte (coffee with lots ot milk) but we managed to deal with it as there is a shopping center nearby that offered a very good take away coffee.
Overall this hotel is perfect for family vacation with kids and I wouldn't hesitate to come back some day!❤ Gracias!

This was a brilliant holiday , all bar staff friendly , the all inclusive was excellent there was always something I liked at the all you can eat breakfast , dinner and tea , I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to santa susanna

We went out of season, the hotel and rooms were very clean. Good choice at the buffet, only con not much choice for vegetarians. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
