Casa Pancho

Loved this place! We went in without expectations. We just wanted to eat something. We stayed the whole night. The wine we tasted was super! The tapas we ate were great and the waiters at the bar were awesome. Loved the atmosphere. I will definitely go again before I leave. Thank you!

Hands down best tapas in town! The cojonuda is incredible and one of the best croquetas I've had in all Spain. A must go here in burgos with lots of tradition, great prizes and better service!

The restaurant is also amazing with a good "lechazo" (probably it's best to go to an asador for this, but this one is good still!

From the atmosphere to the delicious food, everything about Casa Pancho in Burgos screams ‘authentic local experience.’ The ambiance is lively and fun, amplified by staff who are not only funny and sassy but also incredibly friendly. Sitting at the bar was an absolute treat and the prices are quite reasonable.

The only area for improvement would be the addition of vegan options to the menu. Other than that, this place is a solid 5 out of 5. Highly recommended!

Our hotel made a reservation for us, we ate in the upstairs restaurant, not the downstairs tapas/bar. Boy were we happy we did! Upstairs dining room, very elegant/sophisticated service, white table cloths, relaxing, and very adult. Waiters were exceptionally friendly, and had enough English to help us along, plus there was a menu in English to use. Started with the shrimp in garlic oil – exceptional – they bring the sizzling oil to your table and the shrimp actually cooking it while you’re waiting. Had to be careful not to use all the bread to sop up all the bits of oil, garlic, and hot peppers. Next, we had the goat cheese salad with beautiful, leafy greens, walnuts, pinenuts, raisins, and plenty of nice rounds of goat cheese. For the main, we shared a turbot/Rodabollo that came with potatoes and surprise – rounds of octopus. Excellent! Finished with a Tia Maria torte that was Flan with raisins and nuts and whipped cream. Dynamite! Started with a glass —a full one —of Cava and the large pour of a local vermouth. Had a nice Rueda white wine with the meal that was only €14. What a great restaurant! Would definitely go back!

I have not tried by myself many places in town. The person next to me to the bar says "best place in town to eat". And I fully agree with him!:) Authentic quality in the middle of the city. Do not hesitate to ask for "lechazo" and the Vina Magna:)

Plenty of tapas choices. A classic place where locals go to. Definitely worth the trip.

Service is typical of bar. They get busy but courteous when it's your turn.

Price is of good value. I ate very well and was full after several small plates. Go alone or in groups, you'll have a decent meal with full of variety.

Also had padron peppers... It's a nice veggie to have, mostly not hot.

Absolutely amazing restaurant, fantastic food and wine . The Jamon was superb! Santiago was our waiter and he was absolutely fantastic made us feel at home straight away and everything he recommend was divine. A must for anyone visiting Burgos!

This place was sooo good. I will go back to eat at the restaurant. Unfortunately we didn’t have lunch or dinner reservations. So we could only eat at the bar which honestly was such a good experience. we ate there for lunch and dinner. The place was so authentic and the servers / bar tenders were so nice. We have a all the tapas and they were all good. I was surprise how good the sea food was, I didn’t have high expectations as Burgos is interior. But anyways go here for good food and good vibes. Also get the chorizo and morcilla. I wish I could have taken more pics but It was good I vacuumed the food.

Solid local taberna with a duo of famed tapas, the cojonudo and cojanuda: little toasts topped with either a piece of fried chorizo and quail egg (the nudo), or a piece of seared morcilla de Burgos and quail egg (la nuda)- and only 1,50€ each. The vibe in the front bar is infectious and the bar staff are very welcoming. Behind, the restaurant serves a classic Burgos lechazo asado perfect for two to share.

top service and vibe - they cooked so much tapas fresh and was really efficient in serving us! those stuffed mussels as well as the portobello mushrooms were so devilish!

The food is just phenomenal, not exaggerating! Tigre pincho is something I will not forget for a while. And the black sausage is not to miss, either. Muchísimas gracias, we will be back!

The best place of tapas in Burgos, star food is the “tigre”. I’ve been eating at this place for more than 10 years and I eager for each meal there, the quality is top. Staff is the most friendly you can see in Castilla. If you don’t want to fight the crowd, I recommend you go before 13:00.
