Steep climb to castle but worth the effort especially for the views, which, considering why castles were built is obvious. Only 4euro entry fee.

Only $4 admission and such good VFM.
Steep hill to climb to get to the castle ,and limited parking( once you've driven up the very narrow, windy streets)but worry the effort.Check the opening times ( opened at 17h when we went)
Amazing views, a brilliant experience

This place is definitely worth a visit. A white Andalusian town Salobrena is topped by a medieval Arab fortress. Do not be lazy to climb up the mountain and see the stunning view of the cozy town, the marvelous sea and beautiful mountains. The castle is well maintained, all necessary information is available. The legend of the castle is beautiful and magnificent. If you are lucky as i were you will feel and see the soul of Zorahaida in a butterfly messenger.
I'm really greatful to the man at the entrance (Manuel) for his politness and readiness to help. It was very pleasant of him.

Take a slow pace up! See the winding streets and local houses. But it's worth it at the top! 4 euros to get audio too and 2 euros for just the visit the castillo arabe! On way down take get an ice lolly and sit in the lovely local plaza !!

Nice views. Well restored. You can walk up from the bus station (leave bread crumbs) or pro tip - take a taxi up and walk back down :)

Amazing views from the top. We were staying in Salobrena, so we of course had to visit the local castle. Not sure if it's worthwhile driving here for it. If you do, probably just best to park at the bottom of the hill and then walk up.

Beautiful place and surroundings. Awesome views .Tickets for the castle are inexpensive. You can walk around it (Paseo de las Flores) for free. The surrounding narrow and steep streets are just gorgeous.

I love this castle, which is very close to our house in Salobrena . Built as a Summer retreat from the heat of Granada it is fanned by the Mediterranean breeze. The remains of the Nazarid baths are fascinating. Well worth a visit.

Really a sight to experience, it's worth the drive up the very narrow and steep roads. Really cheap entry (4 EU). There's a lot of signs explaining what different parts of the castle was originally used for. It's wheelchair accessible, and kid friendly. Also has a restroom on sight where the original outhouse used to be.

Wow what I climb up to it. Very hard going. And unfortunately we did not check the times to see when it closer so just missed it. Some pretty little lanes with lovely flowers on the way.
