Nice place for a day on a natural beach. The road is a bit rought and through the hills, so beware. Very nice views

We found this place by accident and it was fascinating. There's a long gravel road leading all across the park where you can either enjoy the view of the clifs or you can take a swim. Be aware that some of beaches here are kind of dangerous to get into the water but there's a few where there's sand leading all the way to the water making it ideal. There's also not a lot of people here so you can enjoy some privacy.

Magic! Be prepared with the right outfit, shoes and drinks + food depending on the distance. It gets hot and it's a mix of being covered in the shadow or totally in the open son so be careful! Many birds and butterflies will come along and maybe you get to see some other animals.

A real nature treasure in the middle of a crowded coast. Worth spending a couple of day hiking.

A coastal journey along the cliff side with periodic opportunities for private swimming, beaches, a tower, boardwalk, and undoubtedly much more. Most of the hike is along the road which cars and mountain bikers share, at times not paved with the concrete you find on the steeper portions of the adventure. We only hiked the area nearest Peñíscola until the beaches at Dunes del Pebret. That is where you can find the boardwalk.

Off the beaten path, slightly difficult access but natural and beautiful beaches.

This place is a little like walking in the wild lands of Spain. It's wedged between the low mountains and the Mediterranean coast, so has a plethora of unique plant and wildlife.
We walked north from Pensicola, south to Alcossebre. Approx 10miles/16km during the course of the day, stopping for lunch a lovely little beach where shaded picnic benches were set out.
Highly recommended 😃

Best kept secret of Peñíscola! For any nature lover or hiker a must but be prepared in spring and summer as the heat can be devastating. There are endless trails available for both hikers and mountain bikes.

Just wonderful, it encompasses the rocky shore of the Mediterranean along with small sandy or shingle beaches. A narrow dusty beach road, very rough and slow to drive along takes you from Alcossebre to Peñiscola. But the National Park is a lot more than a coastline because it is mainly the mountains, a backdrop that is very much a large part of the Serra d'Irta's. Tracks made over hundreds of years, spread across these hills a make some really interesting walks and treks,

I spent a lovely afternoon in this Natural Park. I found it very difficult to find an entrance by car as the signposting was non existant as is often the case in Spain. It overlooks the sea and has some spectacular vistas. The walking paths are well marked and it is well worth a visit if you are already in Peniscola or driving to or from Barcelona or Valencia.

Fantastic place to stay and visit. Lots of trails in the Sierra and next to the sea. Beware wind all time and can be strong
