Really amazing especially during the evening with the reflective lights. The walk up to the castle was also excellent. The little gift shops sell some wonderful memorabilia. A fantastic day out - worth every minute

The fort is located on the top and has amazing views. There is an entry ticket but it’s worth it. You can get a 360 degree view of the town. The medieval fortress closes a small space in the rocky ridge, through a series of buildings and an artificial moat. In the fortress as a whole, the keep stands out, as the axis of defense of the enclosure and a symbol of stately power. It is a pentagonal tower, with two turrets at its rear ends, the result of the reforms carried out by D. Juan Pacheco, II Marquis of Villena, in the 15th century. The place has rich history. A must visit if you are in Alcalá Del Jucar.

Amazing castle, town and caves. We rent a car from the station Joaquin Sorrolla and went there in 1.3 hours. Not sure why is not more popular is simply amazing.

Well worth a visit. €2.50 each, prices in the gift shop are very reasonable. Not much to look at in rhe Castle, 3 floors and the roof top which offered great views. The best part for me was the cave below the castle, well set out and lots to see. It is quite a walk through the town but the streets are very quaint. There is parking at the Castle for a few cars.

A real gem of a place, stunning views around the area. The only negative is the descent from the cave House to the bottom of the hill is that the cobbles can be extremely slippy.

As expected, small but interesting. Nice views from the top. Also interesting is the "casa cueva" there. We were there on a holiday so most of the attractions were closed.

Nice castle, there is no much to see from the inside, though.

Alcala de Jucar is worth a visit..the canyon cradles a village set into the mountains. Wind your way up the canyon to visit the castle..fantastic views.
Enjoy
