Cantocochino

This is an amazing place to go for a walk on the weekend. It's only 40 mins outside Madrid. If you get there early you can drive your car right up to the restaurant and park inside the park. If not, you park at the gate and can add an extra 1.5km to you planned hike. The La Pedriza park has spectacular scenery. Weekends can be crowded. Swimming is no longer permitted in the pools along the Manzanares River. Best time of the year to go is in spring when the snow melt fills the river.

Not many alike Landscape views in the World. This is the farther Car Park of Regional Park Cuenca Alta del Manzanares from where you can take deeper in hikes. It's a granite mountain formation with amazing shapes and cristal clear water ponds, waterfalls and natural occurring jacuzzis. Behind there's another mountain Atlantic type part of the Sistema Central with sky resorts...

Great outdoor natural park for hikes and climbing (although I only know about the hikes). Very popular so if you want to actually go to one of the car parks you need to arrive well before 8am to go in. Once there there are loads of trails and paths for you to choose from with all levels accounted for.

Absolutely stunning. It's like a hidden valley with beautiful pine forests and green pasture in the middle where cows graze.

Preciosa la naturaleza que allí vive,Me encantan sus caminos, su río Manzanares, sus puentes, aves..en fin todo

Aparcamiento en la principal zona de entrada a La Pedriza con coche desde donde parten múltiples rutas de senderismo. Está prohibido estacionar en cualquier área no señalizada en todo el parque. Sin asfaltar (tierra y grava), pero bien ordenado. Cuenta con dos bares en los que además pueden recuperarse fuerzas. Antes de ir hay que consultar los horarios de apertura de la barrera que da acceso a la carretera de acceso porque el parque tiene aforo limitado y en temporada de verano la barrera se cierra por exceso de aforo y por tramos horarios.

Sitio perfecto para empezar alguna ruta. Los fines de semana se pone hasta arriba de gente, así que si no se llega temprano en parking de arriba se llena.

Aparcar en la entrada y subir en bus también es buena opción.

📍Ruta de Canto Cochino, de los Ríos en La Pedriza. Esta atractiva y sencilla ruta lineal permite descubrir en familia los encantos del macizo granítico con sus espectaculares formas pulidas por la erosión a lo largo del tiempo.
Si te gusta caminar y hacer rutas por la montaña, éste es el lugar indicado.
