Collégiale Saint-Martin de Colmar

A church with lovely ornate animals on the outside of the building and very animated looking statues.

At the time of visit, there were parts around the church dug up by an archeology group. Bones were found.

Inside the church, beautiful stained windows are worth seeing.

A beautiful place is worship. Stained glass, loads of nooks to find a quiet place to contemplate.

Beautiful Gothic cathedral located in city center. Currently has some renovations but it's very pretty. Definitely worth a stop.

Ah-maze-zing church! The architecture that went into this church is incredible. What’s even more beautiful are the church bells as your standing right in front of the church. I was amazed to say the least. Definitely worth seeing if you are in Colmar.

There was some construction work on one side and the other is a parking.

On the inside, we happened to visit during a ceremony. It definitely added some mystical touch to it.

Beautiful church inside and out. Not as extravagant as some other French Catholic Churches but stunning all the same. There was a lot of construction which made for less than ideal photos but we still enjoyed our visit.

What a unit! This church at the center is mighty impressive.

We were only able to view the church from the outside, but even so, it's well worth visiting.

The plaza surrounding it is filled with interesting landmarks and pleasant cafes.

Cathedrales, art and cuisine are all condensed in this small city! St Martin's church is full of treasures ancestors left. It's worth visiting this Cathedrale. It will make you feel holy and peaceful.

St Martin's Church is a gorgeous and popular church. It is fully packed with very unique and original characters. A must visit.

The place you should come to see when you are at Colmar. I was so suprised because of the green roof. Sorry, i don't know how to express my mind about the Church. I stayed in Colmar 2 days and came here 2 times, one at the evening and one at the morning. It's hard for me to take a good photo, so i can't show you how beautiful it is. I think you will like, after go along the street with many beautiful houses, you can see the ancient Church with his history.

Beautiful church. Colmar is somewhat off the typical tourist path. Happened to drive in for lunch while on our way to Bern. Nice little town. Lots of French and German tourists from what we could see. Well worth stopping.

St. Martin Cathedral is a huge striking edifice set in tiny Colmar old town streets. It dominates the town skyline with its lavish Gothic beauty. The Cathedral was built in 13 and 14 c on the foundations of the previous Church.

It’s a very old church in the centre of Colmar with scaffolding around the front. Even though it’s outdated on the outside, it’s very clean and well managed on the inside.

Pretty stained glass windows and has a good vibe as you enter.

Because of its past as a collegiate church, is also known als Collégiale Saint-Martin, and because of its large dimensions, as Cathédrale Saint-Martin, although Colmar had never been the seat of a bishopric.❤
