Nantes Camping is an excellent venue for visiting the city. The tram service is outside the gate; we purchased an excellent value 24 hour ticket which covered the tram, bus and navibus. . We were impressed with the cleanliness of the site, the people in reception were very efficient and helpful. On this occasion, we did not use the leisure facilities, nor the restaurant. We would highly recommend Nantes Camping, and hope to return.

Location is great, 2 steps away from the tramway. We arrived late and the security agent greeted us and explained everything. The next day we were able to leave our bikes safe in front of the reception while visiting Nantes.

We had a wonderful two nights here, and stayed in a fully provisioned safari tent, which had comfortable beds, and basic amenities (fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, etc). The campsite is well provisioned and child-friendly. The playground is basic but adequate (adding an infant swing is a suggestion for management) and the mini golf is good for a complimentary service. We were disappointed the swimming pool was closed, but tickets were provided for the neighbouring pool. The site is very well situated, and it is easy to access the city centre via public transport just outside the gates. The shop/bar sells many lovely things, including fresh bread and also offers basic hot meals, although we felt the price is large and the portions are small. There is not a lot of choice, and there are not a lot of other hot food options nearby. We would gladly visit again.

Perfect place to stay to visit Nantes. Campsite is amazing 5star ++. It was so lovely. Beautiful sheltered pitches covered by the trees. Our site was a premium site, which had a shed on site for fridge/ sink/ sun loungers / parasol. Very warm welcome on arrival, very helpful staff at reception. Beautiful pool on site and one across the road. Crazy golf was brilliant. Bouncy castle. Outdoor cinema. The campsite is so clean it was such a lovely place to stay. Tram service across the road. Bus service around the corner from the campsite.

We initially camped one night in the Aire and then in the campsite. The Aire was €12.50 and the campsite £29. The Aire has a place to dump your toilet and get water. The campsite has showers, toilets, washing up facilities, laundry and gabage dump. Flat sites, surrounded by hedges. Electric and water available. Walk outside to catch the tram into Nantes city centre...no dogs on the trams. Friendly staff. Restaurant on site and so much more in the summer. Mostly camping chalets on site so some traffic. I enjoyed the stay and would definately return now that I know reception closes for 2 hours. The toilet & shower facilities were spotlessly clean, the best we have ever seen.Staff were very friendly and helpful when we requested a change of pitch as the one allocated to us was too small.

This is our second stay and it's a great site and location , right on the tramline to access the city centre and "Machines de l'ile". Spotlessly clean , heated and well appointed toilet facilities. Free access to the swimming pool over the road , nice hedged pitches all with power and water.
The reception staff are always charming and helpful , we've not used the on-site restaurant but it looks nice and is clearly popular.

We loved our stay at Nantes camping and hope to return. I thought that the staff in the reception were very warm and welcoming. The site was really clean and has obviously been recently refurbished. The restaurant on the site serves nice food at good prices and is excellently positioned to enjoy a drink in the evening sun. We were passing through to watch a football match and also break up our journey from Ile de Re and Calais and wanted to stay somewhere where we could keep the car, with all our camping gear inside, close by.

I would just say that the lifeguard at the pool area was quite strict on the French men's swimwear rules and my 10 yr old son was not alllowed into the pool with his longer length swimming shorts. He had to wear his sister's swimming shorts much to his embarrassment and I was also told I could buy appropriate shorts at the swimming pool opposite (which I didn't want to spend my money on for one swim during a short stay).

The price for our Premium rental was really good - cheaper than a hotel stay - and a great way to stay so close to the city centre. I was really impressed that the trams are free at the weekend and it was so easy to travel into the city centre from the site. I have already recommended the campsite to friends and hope to return again soon.

Perfect campsite, great location, fabulous facilities with ease of access to both stadium and city.
My one suggestion would be to make the shower cubicles smaller, then add more - thus reducing the waiting time when they're busy on site.

Great campsite, close to the center of Nantes. The line 2 tram takes you to the city centre in a jiffy. Bikeservice Bicloo also has bikes for rent in front of the campsite.

We we’re there while there was a popular jazz festival in the city. Campsite was fully booked, but still quiet and not crowded.

Great site near centre of town. Staff really friendly & helpful. Free use of municipal pool across road. Tram stop 2 mins from site with access to town. Cleanest facilities I have encountered. Large shower cubicles with loads of hot water. Newly opened bar/restaurant. Limited menu but good pizza. Pitches can be shady so choose well.

Great campsite, helpful staff and everything you could need. Swimming pool a bit small but it is free to use indoor swimming g pool across the road which is an excellent pool. Easy to get to centre of nantes and campsite provide lots of information about transport and things to do. Would recommend.

Quite possibly the most amazing campground I have ever been to. You pay for it but worth it—friendly and helpful team who support the vision of the owner who has truly made this a labor of love. Restaurant had good food, great live music, and relaxed atmosphere. Kids loved all the activities. Love not being nickel and dimed for showers. Quick bus ride to center of Nantes

What a great place, close to a major city - but also some peace and quiet.
For the kids there is a playground and a nice pool that you can overlook.
All is clean.
As an adult, jump on the bus (26, Berlin side, Tram I closed atm) and let them drop you off in the city center of Nantes.
The mobilhomes were very clean and the inventory was more than complete.
There is room for 1 car, per accomodation, in front of the housing.

There is only one thing I did not like about this place - go to the city for food in the evening if you have kids.

Position, position, position. Cyclists this should be the default tent drop site. A 2 km ride into the city centre. Food and bar all well served. Facilities all without fault.

We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights, it has easy access to the city centre by trams which run every 10 minutes or so, both in and out. There was building work whilst we were there on the site exit roads and on the restaurant which was closed.
This is a large site, predominantly wooded, with good access roads, and decent size pitches, which are hedged, and private. The facilities blocks look brand new with underfloor heating, very large, hot showers, probably the best I've ever seen on a site anywhere in fact.
The site staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the city, what to see, where to go and how to get there. There is an Olympic size swimming pool next to the site, with slides and flumes, which you get free entry to with a wristband from the site reception.
This is a great site, in a great position, and given that's it's right in the middle of the city, surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

Lovely sheltered camping ground in Nantes. We were given a lovely big plot near to the shower/toilet block where we pitched our two man tent and parked both bikes. The reception staff were fantastic doing a number of searches for us on their computers. The trams run right outside the site so no problem getting into the city centre. A small supermarket 50m away had everything we needed. Being October some facilities weren't open but we were just passing through so it didn't matter.

Restaurant closed early weekdays in winter!
