Great place to get some local produce. Fresh fruit and veggies plus meat and cheese from all over the France and abroad. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Wow what a place, fabulous fresh food of every description. It's a must on a Sunday morning.

Very fresh produce. But also very French; just because it’s a market doesn’t mean it’s cheap. Everything is a bit to a lot more expensive than in a regular supermarket, so only come here for the nice things you want to indulge in— fruit, oysters, wine, cakes, foie gras, jams

Amazing French Market. Loads of fresh fish and meat stalls, outside area all fresh fruit and veg. Bought some fresh mackerel which was filleted whilst we waited and some huge fresh crab claws all for under 30 euros. Highly recommend a visit. Only about 10 minute walk out of the city centre or has its own car park.

If you visit Nantes, Marché de Talensac on Sunday morning is a must to experience! :)
You can visit on the other days as well but the market will be full of stands and people on Sunday to give you a nice local atmosphere!

Great oyster selection on Fridays and Saturdays. There's also a hachis parmentier with duck that is sold at one of the vendors and worth seeking out

Great local market to check out. It’s relatively small so doesn’t take long to see what’s on offer. Amazing fresh produce with friendly vendors offering free samples 🍐

Very nice market! We loved the stand with the Burger Nantais (like an open sandwich of smoked salmon, veggies and caviar 😋).

Most colourfull array of diferent food...excellent choice of fish,meat,cheeses and cured meat as well as great choice of bread.

Nice market, very Nantais, stuff delicious, prices rather high end.

A visit to Nantes would not be complete without going through this market.
There are many local and quality products. The prices are adequate and therefore a little high.
Even if you have nothing to buy, take a look because it is a very representative place of French gastronomy.
It is open every morning, except Monday.
My advice: Go there on weekdays morning because it's quieter than weekend

We had a wonderful visit to this very authentic market and came away with bags of lovely fruit, vegetables, bread, cheeses, cakes, meat, olives. All sold with a friendly manner and tolerant to our basic attempts at French.

This is the largest indoor market in the area. Wonderful experience for any foodie. Highly recommended Fromagerier Beillevaire. Such amazing cheeses and the best butter around.

Great for fresh groceries including extremely fresh fish and vegetables. No seating area however so do not expect to go there and have a sit down meal.
