La Terrasse Rouge

We had a lovely lunch here on our way back from Saint-Émilion to Bordeaux. The restaurant has an amazing terrace with sweeping views of the countryside and surrounding vineyards.
The service was friendly and informative, our waiter took time to recommend what wine would pair best with the lunch menu we selected.
The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The lunch menu offered 3 courses for €50 which was great value for the quality.
I would recommend to anyone visiting the area that this is well worth eating at.

Went for lunch in mid december. The food was not only well presented but also taste really yummmmmm. Since it wasn’t the high season, the team was actually lovely. I would say above the classic french service. I will definitely come back. A plus that I saw on the menu was the kid meal! Love that!

Lovely lunch on a raised terrace with views out over the vineyards. Great food, great wine, excellent service. The chicken was amazing, but the pavlova dessert must be my favourite dish!

Great location, good food. Entrees excellent, vegetable tart. Main was the pressed pork. It needed a little more jus, it was a little dry.

A wonderful meal served by a delightful staff. Our fish and beaf starters were a fun mix of sweet and salty. My main course was a medium rare filet seared to perfection with mashed potatoes that included a slight hint of truffles. My wife's trout was flakey and tender. The medley of vegetables was perfect. Both deserts, one fruity the other chocolate, capped off a delightful 2.5 hours. I chose a 2016 wine from Pomerol which had hints of plum and oak. The only downside was we sat on the west facing side of the second floor restaurant and there were no shades on the windows. Eventually, the sun set low enough to enjoy the view but for most of the meal my wife had to wear her sunglasses to avoid the glare.

Dining with a view of the vineyard is so nice. I like the wine list on the iPads, so user friendly.
The amuse bouche was a fresh and light bulgur salad with a cube of sturgeon. The bread on the table was so good. Great crispy crust and the wheat roll has great flavor.
For starters I had the butternut squash soup (tiny but so tasty) and husband went with the mushroom soup. Both were nice and hot and full of flavor.
I loved my poached egg with ham and truffle hollandaise. The egg was perfectly poached which always makes me happy. The amount of truffle was right, just a hint of flavor. It was a rich and decadent lunch for me.
For dessert I went with the assortment of desserts. There were so good and the other two were okay.
Service was perfect. The wines we had with lunch were both delicious and paired nicely with our meals.

The food for lunch was delicious. I took the menu with entree, main and dessert. Very satisfied with the taste, presentation, speed, service and setting. The terrace was a lovely place to dine with a nice view of the vineyards. Highly recommend.

Great food and wine from the local chateaux and region. The service is not absolutely amazing, but it gets packed so it is to be (partially) expected.

Delicious food and excellent service in a stunning location. One of our favourite places we visited in the area, a really excellent experience. Ideal for lunch as you can enjoy the stunning views and take a drink on the terrace after your meal. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Saturday lunch dining experience. The set menu was beautiful with egg/potato/ham dish followed by a perfectly prepared rabbit. The setting can’t be beat - sitting the in the middle of a vineyard. Lovely staff as well! Be sure to prebook a table.

We loved our experience today. It was a total surprise that it was a special day and menu with Christian le Squer. Food was amazing and wine were amazing. An unforgettable lunch.

Beautiful spot over looking the vineyards, excellent service, good, hearty food and great wine as you’d expect. If you’re in Saint-Emillion this is a great spot for lunch on your itinerary. Just make sure to book in advance - it gets busy!

For a birthday treat, we had a wonderful gourmet lunch here.
There was plenty of parking, disabled access was good, with a lift up to the restaurant. The food was a sheer delight (in my excitement, I forgot to take a photo of my main course!) the service was great by pleasant, friendly and very helpful staff.
An all round very enjoyable lunch. I'd highly recommend a visit.

One of the best meals I had in St. Emilion! Absolutely beautiful location and great staff. We had the specials of the day and they were spectacular!

We were a group of 8 adults and all loved this restaurant. The food was spectacular and the restaurant coped fantastically well with one of our group who had a dairy allergy and we had not pre-warned the restaurant. They made a few simple changes and he loved his dairy free option. The view is lovely and all the staff were exceptional. I would definitely recommend.
