Truly a thoughtful, informative, and pleasurable tour and tasting. We enjoyed the personal touch and time given to us by the co-owner. It was a wonderful contrast to some of the more commercial wine tasting experiences we encountered. The vertical tastings were a great comparative experience and we look forward to receiving our wine shipment back in the United States. Thank you!

Our first stop on a wine tasting day trip to st emilion and pomerol. Luc was a great guide and shared info about how his family has been producing wine in this location for many years. The wine was delicious and the setting was very special with lots of photos and other memories from their many years of winemaking. We recommend!

“This beautiful Château Tailhas worth a visit!”
Our family went to this beautiful winery Chateau Tailhas on a private tour. The host also co-owner Jean was wonderful, informative, kind & genuine. We felt so welcome & would recommend everyone to come visit them at once in your lifetime. You’ll love it too! Cheers!

My sisters and I had a wonderful visit to Tailhas. The owner took us through the vineyard, the 'cooking' room, the cellar and the tasting, gaving us first hand interesting information about all the magic and work behind a bottle of Pomerol wine. Tailhas wines are delicious. We went to 7 chateaus in the region, from the top St Emilion classe A to family terroirs and I liked Tailhas the most.

Lovely winery. Humble owners / wine tour guide, and really great wine with very reasonable price for the quality!

5* experience! The chateau locates in a small wine producing region next to Saint Emilion. The quality of wine is excellent and we gained much more knowledge about Pomerol. The owner was knowledgable and answered all our questions very patiently. Also, it is a pet friendly and an organic chateau. Our dogs couldn’t enjoy the wine but they enjoyed the wine tour.

Great visit!

We reserved it in the morning for the afternoon of the same day and it was available in English.
Jean Baptiste is a great guide, he transmits a lot of passion for wine and for what he does. We learned a lot about wine, vineyards and the difference procedures.

Last but not least, wine tasted amazing!

COOL TOUR
This was the first of three tours that the Bordeaux Tourism office arranged for us, and it was pretty cool.
Run by two brothers, it's an interesting tour and even though the facilities are modest, they still produce excellent quality wine.
Tasting session was good, their wine's are excellent and I recommend that you buy some to take home with you.

Great discovery of this Pomerol vineyard, family owned and very authentic. The visit was done by the owners, very welcoming and open, instructive with giving many details also on the Pomerol surroundings. We loved the tasting ambiance and moment, and all tasting tips provided and learned a lot! We purchased a pack of 6 bottles that will be shipped to us and feel priviledged about that. We highly recommend.

Wonderful visit. Called in the morning and visited in the afternoon. Mr Nebout was a very gracious host and it was great to see the vats, the oak barrels and to understand the process. Capped off with a lovely tasting experience. The 2010 and 2016 are excellent vintages for Chateau Tailhas.

We visited Chateau du Tailhas in Pomerol in January with three adults and one infant. The visit including a tour and tasting was highly informative and you could tell the family has a passion for their craft. We learned quite a bit about the region and the history of the vineyard. I'd highly recommend visiting Chateau du Tailhas if you are in the region. Some of the best wine in the Bordeaux region can be found in Pomerol and this is a great place to taste some!

We loved our visit here. Aurelie was wonderful, explaining the winemaking process from the vineyard to fermentation to aging. We even got to visit the cellar to see the 225-litre oak casks. The tasting was lovely. Excellent wines from 2008 and 2014 were offered. I highly recommend visiting Chateau Tailhas!

The Saint Emilion Tourism Office recommended we tour Castle Tailhas (vineyard and winery). They even called to set up the tour for us (group of 4) with Aurelie. Upon arrival, She greeted us and lead us to the vineyard explaining how they plant, grow, and harvest the vines, pointing out the many details that affect the harvest. Then she took us into the production warehouse and explained the wine making process. She really took her time with us and answered our questions. After the tour, we ended in the tasting room where she guided us through the wine tasting steps and explained what to look for using sight, smell, and taste, explaining the differences to be aware of between young wines and older wines, etc. She was very knowledgeable, thorough, and easy going. And the wine was lovely! We bought several bottles to take home with us. We would highly recommend visiting Castle Tailhas if you are in the area.

Visited today, had one of the best wine tours I've personally experienced in France and North America, extremely informative and very willing to answer all of our questions.

On top of that the wine was absolutely excellent, ended up walking away with a couple cases of their wine.

Get in touch with this winery and make an appointment to visit. It's truly lovely to have met Luc (the 3rd generation winemaker), hear his story, see the process, and taste the wine. We wanted to give this guy a hug at the end! So familial!

Passion, Land, and Merlot based wine! I made this appointment months in advance and was able to make Chateau Tailhas my first stop at the Right Bank of Bordeaux in Pomerol (9AM). Chateau Tailhas was a pure joy with an intimate tasting with the three of us including the ever amazing multi-tasker owner/wine maker/guide, Luc! He greeted us warmly and took us around the vineyard, VAT room, Cellar, and finally the Tasting room.

Chateau Tailhas is a family owned vineyard and they do everything by hand. It's quite AMAZING and very traditional. Luc now makes the final decision with the help of his father on when to harvest the wine by simply picking the grapes and tasting it. No chemist or engineer, pure intuition!

I love the passion and pride of the Chateau Tailhas and their 2009 Merlot was fantastic; gentle, round, and soft; a great representation of their Terroir. Thanks Luc for this wonderful, unforgetable tasting experience!

*4 Euros/tasting
*Free Tasting w/ Purchase
*35 euros for 2009 Vintage

We visited lovely Chateau du Tailhas with the whole family. We loved the passionate story of Luc and his sense of humour. It was very enjoyable experience and we loved the wine too, of course. :-)

Luc gave us a personal tour above any other tasting in all of Bordeaux. Took 4 bottles of the 2001 to Paris to serve when we met up with our group. It was a home run. Wish we could buy it here in the states!
