Deserves a review since it stood out: the rare occasion that a harbor city fish restaurant serves an exceptionally good catch of the day!
(Tip: better remove the white LEDs 😉)

Fantastic meal at this restaurant styled as an ocean liner with 2 "decks". Service was very efficient and the food sensational!
We chose from a set menu of which there were 4, at different price points and catering for children's portion sizes too.
Would highly recommend!

If you have one night at Brest, and you are a sea food person this is the place to go.
We arrived around 9:00 pm, there was a 30 min waiting time, during they offered us a glass of wine.
The food was amazing, every dish was perfectly cooked and served.
The service was kind, they took the time to explain everything in English.

Highly recommended!
Fresh seafood, great view and atmosphere.

The staff was lovely, while respecting to the letter the new sanitary measures.
We had a full menu and everything tasted delicious and fresh. The dessert was amazing - thanks to our waiter for the recommendation (you have to decide for it when you give the order because they need a lot of time to prepare it).
With their different menus they accommodate the demand for everyone’s budget.
If you spend one night in Brest, you definitely should dine here! :)

Enjoyed our lunch and the excellent service. Special thanks to the tall dark-haired waitress and the gentleman who served us at the outside seating.

Oysters were fresh and fish was well prepared. Three course meal reasonably priced at under 30€. Hope to be back someday!

Good sea food and wine with a covered terrace by the port. Not cheap but real thought and work went into the dishes.

We spent one evening there with two children (2+6) and we had a wonderful time. Timing is essential when you visit a restaurant with children but the staff's timing was absolutely on point.
We had a wonderful and delicious stay at la Maison de l`océan.

Possibly the best fish and seafood restaurant in Brest. Everything is fresh and perfectly made. The service is a bit stiff but good. The harbour keeps a nice atmosphere.

A nice restaurant, just across the street from the water. The oysters were delicious, as were the mussels.
They are gluten-free friendly and they are one of the few restaurants in the area that cater to vegans!

This is my favourite seafood restaurant in France. The food is amazing and the staff are super. This was my second visit and I will be going again. The views look out over the harbour and the food is quickly delivered. If you like seafood do not miss this place out on your travels to Brest

Another restaurant we love to visit. Situated within metres of where the fish is landed, so you know it is fresh and at its best. The menu gives an english explanation, for those, like us, who have VERY little French.
The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. If you love oysters, this is your place.
We didn't have a table booked the first night (as we had only just arrived in Brest after a long drive) but they were more than accommodating. But we made sure we booked for our following visit.
Highly recommended 👌

I had a wonderful moment here, the food were delicious and fresh even tho I had a hard time trying to eat the crabs 🦀. The waiters here are really nice and for those who would like to eat here they should really make a reservation before since the restaurants is always crowded and you should come early too are else you would need to wait a lot for your food to be ready ( we came at 7pm and didn't have a lot of people so we only wait about 10 - 15 min )

The food and service were impeccable. However, the food and drinks are a bit pricey. I paid 8,40 Euros for two regular 0,33 l cokes, which I find hardly bearable. So expect to be ripped off a bit while getting truly excellent seafood.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and we were not disappointed. The seafood is fresh and plentiful when ordering le menu. The price is very reasonable, the staff are accommodating and friendly and the wine list appropriate.

Absolutely the best mussels I've ever eaten,. baby mussels in a cream sauce with a most delicate curry note. Just after arriving in Brest by train from landlocked Mannheim, we were looking for such an establishment just as this one; overlooking the ocean and serving a gourmet rendition of local fresh seafood, dinner at La Maison de l'Ocean was the perfect way to begin a vacation in Brittany.

Must be amazing. Wish I would have made a reservation. The door guy had more confidence than Gandoff when he said you shall not pass.

Excellent seafood and service, I would imagine this is one of the best restaurants in Brest. It has some good set menus, although it's not cheap overall.
