The Café de l'Orangerie

My family had a very enjoyable 3 course meal here. The staff were very welcoming and hard working; the food excellent! We ordered everything on the menu just to taste the dishes, and we ate every bit. The atmosphere and location are also lovely. Our kids played in the playground until our reservation and had a wonderful time. It is worth making a booking. It was popular. Thank you, Cafe de l'Orangerie.

Although I’d walked past Les Plantes de Jardin a million times before (especially right in front of Gare Nord) 🚅 in Nantes, I had absolutely no idea that there even was an awesome spot to stop to keep admiring the beautiful nature in every single direction of the park.

If an old friend hadn’t mentioned this place as an ideal spot to catch up and talk about all the things that we haven’t had the opportunity to since decades ago 😃

We had a couple of beverages on the terrace albeit tufting it out on the terrace 🌬while admiring all of the beautiful views of nature in real life!

While we didn’t have anything to eat, when I went inside to use the restroom, the indoors probably would’ve been a better call 😉 I know now for next time!

Great staff, great location, and plenty of room to dine inside or out, and there were groups of kids who were enjoying themselves while the adults were enjoying themselves, too!

Definitely worth it, but be ready to plan for longish walks. I highly recommend visiting when it’s warmer, and the weathers amenable☀

If you are looking for a place to have your coffee in a sunny day, it is the perfect spot. The park is beautiful and the view fantastic. There is a variety of tea and the desserts are good.

The food was a bit of a surprise in a good way. It was so well done despite being the only entrees served on the day. 18 for 2 course, 14 for single entree when we went. They were tremendously helpful despite us not know any French.

Amazing lunch under an Autum sunshine, right in the jardin des plantes de Nantes, great service and the food is outstanding for a very reasonable price. Not to be missed and book in advance!

Visited this afternoon and had a very enjoyable visit, in stunning surroundings! The waiter was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We saw him go out of his way to help customers. I had what was the best cookie I have EVER tasted here 😋 Will definitely come back when I am in Nantes again!! Thank you

If you love cheese cake, you must go. I popped in between train and a flight. Food yummy but cheesecake to die for

This cafe is in a beautiful setting in the Botanic Gardens. I didn't eat, just a cup of tea but quick, friendly service on a sunny terrace. Lovely

Nice cafe in Nantes Jardin du Plantes! We enjoyed cooling off here before our train back to Angers.

Would recommend reserving a table in advance as it is popular and for the obvious reasons. Menu didn't sound that appealing to us for a light lunch but we both had the most amazing aubergine salad! The sun was out and a cool breeze blowing through which was delightful after the last mini heatwave. Our waiter was friendly and looked after us well! Always worth a visit, even if it is once a year on our way through to the South West of France!

When the weather is nice and the flowers are in bloom, there is not better place.
