Bookstop

Very cozy and relaxed café with a good selection of 2nd hand books (in French & English) which you can purchase for a very reasonable price. The hosts are very nice: the kind monsieur (who can speak English too) and the sweet tuxedo cat who welcomed me with lots of câlins. I will come back again.

Great secondhand bookshop, stocking mainly English language books combined with a friendly and comfortable tea and coffee lounge plus a summertime secret sculpture garden overlooking the river. Changing display of artworks. Hosted by a very helpful bi lingual gentleman. Read a book drinking good coffee in a well shaded waterside garden in the heart of Brantomè. What's not to like?.

Not only a lovely bookstore but also a great cafe with yummy scones and a wonderful garden.

What a fantastic find! Howard the proprietor is really friendly and bakes all the fresh scones and cakes every morning (we were reliably told by his Mum who by the way is a superb asset for his business). Aside from the repartee with Howards Mum (sorry we never found out her name) who kept us laughing on each visit; it is a traditional style English tea which is served in a china pot, with china cups and saucers; top that off with a proper table cloth and voila you have it all. In terms of the books, really good value for money. It is right on the river bank and is simply wonderful; It's a must visit. Howard and your Mum thank you so much.

Great bookstore and fabulous coffee and muffin. Be sure to stop in and see it when in Brantôme!

A rare find. Lovely Bookstore, gallery, gift shop, and café. Seating inside and out in the secret garden. Friendly owner speaks English and French.

Really friendly bookshop with great coffee!

Nous avons été bien accueillis (anglais et français courant). Le cadre est superbe et très reposant. Thé et pâtisseries très bonnes et expositions artistiques très appréciables ! Les livres sont à dispositions et à l'achat (anglais et francais). Nous reviendrons !!!

Après avoir acheté un livre, nous y sommes repassés quelques heures après pour prendre un pot dans le jardin.
Un lieu charmant et accueillant !

Es una librería y casa de té con un jardín que da al río. Hemos tomado un té con scones y el dueño es un señor inglés muy amable y simpático. Muy recomendable!

Lieu intimiste et très joli, insolite.. où l'on se sent comme chez soi. Accueil très agréable et des scones délicieux. Bref un vrai moment de détente. Je testerai le jardin la prochaine fois.

Un bar de la ville nous ayant refusé sa terrasse (ils allaient dressé les tables pour le service du soir) nous avons continué notre chemin (un peu énervés toutefois) et avons découvert ce lieu atypique et fort charmant.
Au fond du jardin et en bordure de la Dronne, un appentis en pierre qui nous offre du frais ! des boissons fraîches, quoi de mieux en cette journée de fortes chaleurs.
Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir ! Cette boutique vend des livres d'occasions ! On pourrait dans ce lieu y passer quelques temps à lire également !

Très belle boutique avec sa terrasse au calme pour boire un délicieux café accompagné d'un scone. Le rafinement anglais y est present. Howard est très sympathique.

Très très agréable endroit avec un superbe jardin avec des sculptures en expo . Manque juste un bon choix de thé en vrac .

Je sors tout juste de cette librairie-coffee-tea ...au cœur de Brantome chants d oiseaux ...juste magique ..et café excellent !

Lieu incroyable. Impossible de passer par Brantome sans y aller boire un merveilleux café accompagné d’un score excellent !
