Restaurant Côté Rivière

Dined here as a party of four and we’re seated on the riverside terrace. Staff were superb from the moment we arrived and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. Our friends had booked and I would recommend doing that as it was full and busy. Food and service were excellent and you are not rushed. Full of locals ( always a good sign ) and plenty of tourists too. Staff speak good English so no issues with language barrier etc. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the riverside location was excellent.

Beautiful dining on the river with creative French food with a slight international twist. One of our best lunches during our one month stay in France.

Really lovely evening at the Côté Rivière. We had a table on the terrace which on a very warm September evening was perfect. The food, drink and customer service were all great. We were entertained by the proprietors' kids which only added to the fun. From a cost perspective we thought the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food we were given, and they were certainly lower than some of the other restaurants in Brantôme. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking to eat good food at a fun establishment in the town.

One of the most wonderful restaurants in the world. Love this place. The food was spectacular, the staff amazing, the owner were so incredibly friendly and the view is off the charts. It's right on the river in Brantome. Stunning. Highest recommendation! Don't miss this place.

They don't advertise gluten free or dairy free but were very accommodating!! We had one vegan eater and one gluten free/low lactose eater and had a WONDERFUL meal. Highly recommended!

What lovely people and excellent food and service. It could not be faulted, each dish a new experience. The owner and her staff have a super sense of humour, and I have to say the cycle back to our campsite along the cycle paths was quite hilarious. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend as a venue of excellent dining with the fine line between familiarity and intrusiveness skilfully achieved. Thank you everyone at Côté Rivière for an unforgettable evening.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was fabulous, the service super friendly, and both our dogs were welcome. Sitting on the outside terrace with the sun going down, added to this being a highlight of our holiday. Thank you to the staff who were all superb.

Not surprisingly, the Côté Rivière is located immediately on the river in Brantome with outdoor seating with a wonderful view. We would have went for the atmosphere alone, but were also very impressed with our dinner. Each of the courses were phenomenal, with unique twists on the traditional fare of the region. We also enjoyed that the menu changed, and was written on a chalkboard, as the standard unchanging menus of some restaurants can come across as overly tourist focused. Our waitress was really great, spoke perfect English, and was very helpful with information and recommendations. The restaurant felt like fine dining but yet comfortable and the right amount of casual. Absolutely a must for anyone visiting Brantome.

Food was excellent. Friendly staff. Even though there wasn't a kids menu they made up a dish that my daughter would like. Excellent steak tartare and duck dishes
