We had lunch, it was the surprise menu..

Just beautiful, nothing else, we sat and ate and drank and the food kept coming.
Delightful and when we had enough, couldn't eat anymore, we asked to stop. No problems.
Surprise menu, but no surprise for the bill .

Service impeccable in a stunning location.
We watched from our window the river in flood and such an experience to have a superb dinner in the dining room and next morning to see it was flooded. All predicted and an elegant breakfast planned and served in our room instead.
Brantome itself is stunning amking for a fabulous 1 night stay

An utterly beautiful restaurant. The setting on the river in the stunning town of Brantome could hardly ever be beaten. Sitting out on the lovely terrace is just a true joy. The food is impeccable, rightly holding a Michelin star. Every course is pitch perfect, there isn't a dud note all night. The wine is as you would expect - expensive, but a great list. If you want classic French fine dining and are willing to splash out I can't recommend it enough. We went for the full tasting menu and my only note of caution was that this was a little heavy for an evening meal... So go lighter or better still, go for lunch.

Amazing hotel in a beautiful location. High quality service, gourmet breakfast with amazing omelet and the restaurant for dinner is outstanding. We stayed in the auxiliary Abbey building a short walk from hotel. If you have difficulty with steps, I would not recommend. The service was amazing and the surrounding town is beautiful.

Such a stunning property in every aspect, décor, rooms, public facilities and location,. All staff we encountered were so friendly, always available to assist yet unobtrusive so made for the most wonderful stay. I would highly recommend staying here with one of the suites overlooking the river. Breakfast was plentiful and in a delightful setting and dinner just magical.

This place is exquisite! Set in lush garden beside the waterfall beside the angle bridge. Rooms over looking river and breakfast was a delight. Staff excellent. Bravo!

Very nice hotel right on the river. Was disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel was closed but the staff redirected us to their other restaurant for dinner. It was okay, but not michelin. The food was priced well. Our room was on the top floor and we had a large balcony/patio with a hot tub. We were also able to park our RR securely in the cave which they locked at night.

A smashing one Michelin starred restaurant in the picturesque town of Brantôme. In terms of the food - expect plenty of fois gras, truffles, duck etc. it’s very much of the region.

The setting is unbelievably idyllic - the terrace backs onto the river with the old water wheel turning in the background. And if you’re there on a Friday night in the summer you’ll get to see boat jousting on the river!

Visited here whilst on honeymoon, has got one Michelin star.
Had 7 course surprise menu. Staff kindly put us on a table outside, the setting is stunning by a canal with a lovely bridge. The food, wine and service was exceptional, such as mushroom broth, steak and langoustine dishes.
Well worth a visit for a special occasion.

This hotel was absolutely a perfect resting place during a long vacation. The gardens made it especially peaceful. The staff anticipated anything we could possibly want in advance. Will definitely recommend this to anyone I know who might be going to that area of France.

Our stay at the Moulin could not be faulted. We have been before-4 times-but this was the best so far.It helped that the weather was perfect so we could eat out on there terrace next to the river.

Long may the experience continue.

This beautiful restaurant was a great experience. We've seen it before in April but then it was closed. We decided to come back from Amsterdam to enjoy the food. And we were not disappointed at all. Every bite was perfect. With great wines and good service we enjoyed our stay in le moulin.

This is a really sweet place. The ivy covered stone, the little bridge over the duck filled river, and the gardens make you feel like you're lost in a fairytale. The rooms are quaint and the service is lovely.

Only stayed for drinks, but the service and the view is fantastic

Lovely hotel, exceptional staff, great food, exceptional in every way.

Very nice place. Close to river. Some rooms are at the back of the hotel. in the other side of the road. Not in the main building. Michelin star restaurant.

Beautiful location. My friend who came eats out a lot in michelin star restaurants in uk and said this restaurant gave the best meal he had ever had.
