Café Joyeux Nantes

Delightful café with cheerful staff... they are not just Joyeux in name! Food and special drinks are great. Coffee is just okay... usual French standard: not bad but not amazing. They employ persons with disability, and the manager is exceedingly supportive of the staff! ❤

What a wonderful find during 1st visit to Nantes. Great food, friendly service, good coffee and sweets.

We happened to visit drawn in by the yellow facade. Really sweet and nice. Great concept, which we only realised after looking at the paintings, pictures around. There was a lady able to help us with our poor English to French translation.

Croque Monsuer was very nice, with a nice vinaigrette on the seeded salad. Paired with lemon juice and two cakes, one chocolate muffin and one walnut/pecan loaf slice. All were lovely!

Service was also super quick too, politeness as well :)

This place just feels great to be in. And the food is wonderful and the coffee is very good. Service is great either very helpful English translations. It a small and tight space but still 5 stars.

Lovely experience, we were a large group, English speaking, the staff were so accommodating and explained the menu clearly and helped us order. Really good service, all our food brought out together. Would recommend for tourists as they gave such a friendly welcome. Many thanks!

We spotted this little yellow place during a very gray day and it immediately caught our attention.
The menu is simple , affordable and delicious.
The staff is so lovely , the desserts to die for !

Nice place, budget friendly options for breakfast. Staff are great and spoke English and French which helped with my broken French ordering! We went twice during our short stay.

Absolutely wonderful place. Very strongly recommended. I came here with my friend yesterday on a weekend trip to Nantes and we were both enormously impressed with the food and the atmosphere. The staff are diligent, the lady who took our order could not have been more helpful, and the food itself is utterly superb and outstanding value. Merci beaucomp! :-)

Beautiful place to go with your friends, family or couple. The service is really kind and sweet, they care about the clients. Everything on the menu is delicious and the price is according to the zone and quality. It has become one of my favorite ones!! <3

A comfortable spot in the center of the city for a cup of coffee and something sweet. The staff is friendly. You will also be contributing to a worthy cause by supporting individuals with disabilities.

I knew the Café Joyeux from a trip to Paris and was delighted to find one here in Nantes. Good food, good coffee, great service and a magnificent project. I was happy to contribute in a small way by eating there. Looking forwards to my next visit!
