LA TAVERNE - Restaurant à Josselin

I've just had one of the best meals I have had in a long long time ! The pizza was perfect. Not over or under done with lots of tasty fresh toppings and a perfect base .
The spaghetti carbonara was amazing too. Lots of creamy sauce with a hit of smoked lardons.
And pork in curry sauce with gratins. Superb
Believe me ! This is a delight ! I cannot rate it highly enough.

Food and service were excellent! We had 2 Formule midi and 2 kids menus. Service was quick even with a full restaurant. They just forgot the ice creams for the kids (incl in the menu) but they were so full they did not wven want it.

Stopped to have a meal as it was about to rain... (It did very heavily)...

We ate lunch here today and it was simply perfect! All 4 of us selected the Menu Du Jour and had all the menu options between us. Every course was amazing and the portion sizes very generous. The starters of a Seafood pie with flaky pastry was superb. The bruschetta with Gorgonzola and Serrano Ham was equally enjoyable.
Main courses of Veal, carrots and rice was extremely tasty, while our friends were very happy with their steak, pepper sauce and chips. The desserts were out of this world!!! The most incredible mango & strawberry tiramisu was to die for!! The pannacotta with fruit was equally superb and a perfect end to a lovely meal. Service was quick, friendly and helpful and great effort was made to assist us in English. Full marks! Outstanding!!

Lovely place, slightly slow with service but in their defence it was busy.. had 2 pizza's that were top quality and 2 drinks each, mine was 7.40 euros each! under 50 euros total.. came away very pleased.. would definitely recommend

Now under new management the food has improved considerably. Five of us today had a lovely lunch, great choice of menu and well cooked food served by friendly attentive staff.

Yet again did not disappoint, food and service brilliant

Réservé pour 12h15 avec mes parents, très bonne accueil un très bon service et des plat de très bonne qualité (mention spéciale au pavé de rumsteak façon Rossini un vrai délice) si je devais mettre un seul bémols les assiette creuse pour coupe le pavé un peu compliqué mais sinon rien a redire les avis qui râle car l’attente est longue déjà c’est faux et surtout on est pas dans un fast-food, une bonne cuisine ça prend un peu de temps (et encore on a pas attendu plus de 20/30 minutes pour recevoir nos plats) surtout en plus quand il y a du monde.
Franchement allez-y les yeux fermés c’est du très bon.

Nous sommes venu manger ce dimanche midi (10 personnes). Après avoir lu les avis j’étais un peu septique. Ce fut alors une très bonne surprise! Nous avons testé plusieurs menus, menu du jour, menu enfant, burger.. tout le monde a été ravi. J’ai pour ma part pris le menu taverne. Ce n’ai ni cher, ni pas cher. Mais très bien présenté et très bon! Si je repasse sur Josselin, je n’hésiterais pas à repasser c’est sur!

Nous avons hésité au vue des commentaires mais les plats passants étaient appétissants et nous avons bien fait.
2 menus enfants nuggets (plutôt de bonne qualité car gros et croustillants) et pizza
Un burger poulet et un bœuf : pain artisanal juste bémol sur les frites en sur cuisson mais de toute façon nous n'avions plus de place après le Burger copieux
Un plat du jour : araignée de porc au curry, gratin dauphinois et petit risotto en supplément, tout était goûteux et vraiment très bon
Le service était très bien et le délai de service tout à fait correct : enfant servis avant les adultes pendant l'aperitif donc pas d'impatience et 20min après nous avons eu nos plats. Environ 15 clients (Attention à la tenue vestimentaire d'un des serveurs en jogging ce n'est pas super)
Prix corrects et très bel emplacement

Restaurant très bien situé.
Nous avons mangé en terrasse, l’accueil a été très agréable.
Les plats sont bons et copieux.
Le menu est à 16,5€ pour entrée plat dessert ce qui est très appréciable.
