The restaurant is in a very busy part of the town, so to get a table for lunch it was hard but worth it!
The food was very authentic and tasty.
The staff was also very friendly and joyful.
The card has good selection of traditional food. Quality over quantity!

Delicious traditional food. Onions soup was amazing a must try. Food plates and desserts meet all expectations. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Would definitely visit again.-

Wonderful place to eat: lovely staff, delicious food, and cosy atmosphere. I recommend booking or coming in early though as it is very popular and fully booked quickly.

I only took pic of the entree. But the main courses were so nice! Very warm service, bit touristy so I suggest you to come early especially during weekend

Great food with good service especially manager helps to introduce tonight special and let us share dishes to enjoy all of them. We couldn’t get a table last night and it’s worth to reserve it in advance. Dessert is unexpected tasty!

a great location, delicious food, nice staff. the prices are tipical french so it was around 30€ per person (drink, main dish and desert). our waiter was very friendly and helpfull and good at his job. also this place have a cool story about some man who was ilustrating things that are on walls and on plates and glasses.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of Colmar, surrounded by charming buildings, offering an awesome view. The plates on which the food was served are also delightful, featuring illustrations of the author after whom the restaurant is named. The food itself was tasty and fresh. We truly enjoyed the charcuterie plate, the chicken marinated in Riesling, and the veal. The service was exceptionally friendly. Thank you!

First time in Colmar and found this wonderful restaurant. Onion soup is definitely exceed my expectation as I was imagine it is just a bowl of soup but it came with puff! The beef cheek is nice, soft and melt in your mouth, just that the sauce tend to be salty, you need to eat together with mash potato to neutralise it. The waitress is nice and patient to explain the soup of the day, a dish with beef face and recommend the red wine!

This is a small restaurant and it's located near the center of the tourist district. What that means is, you will want to make a reservation or arrive just before they open. We were second in the queue at 11:30 and so we were seated immediately after they checked for anyone with a reservation.

Friendly service with an English menu even though we clearly do not speak any more French than "Bonjour" and "Merci." We opted for a carafe of wine and decided to share the "Sauerkraut royale."

Again with the friendly waiter who served it up for us. So. Much. Food. Three different sausages and a slice of pork loin with a lot of sauerkraut. Thankfully, there's mustard on the table and with a tiny bit, it really made the sausages even more delicious.

A fabulous lunch and in a charming little restaurant.

I ordered a dish that serves 3 meats (pork, lamb and beef) in 1 plate. I forgot the name but it was really good! Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to take the photo because my phone was dead during the night. This was the only last photo I took and it's their traditional choucroute which was also very delicious. The staff were very charming and managed to surprise our birthday person with a candles when we ordered dessert.

We tasted traditional baeckeoffe, sirlion of beef , spaetzle kid menu and pinot noir wine. All of them were delicious. The service was good, all the waiters were friendly and helpful.

The food was very good (especially crème brûlée) and the staff were nice. The ambience is cozy and inviting. I recommend it! :)

Typical alsace cuisine. Very delicious and extra charming restaurant ! Here you can be adviced to drink such wine for such dish to savor all its deliciousness.

Fantastic place. The service ladies are fun to chat and always excited about explaining the food you order. Food is delicious. The ice cream is better than most places. Can be difficult to find a table so make sure you either reserve or pick a suitable time.
