Hay on Wye Holiday

Stayed here for a week for my 40th birthday. We had one group of friends for the beginning of the stay, and then another for the last few days. The house is fantastic, loads of space, comfortable, clean and very well stocked. Anna was on hand to assist with any issues/advice and was very helpful in arranging a change of linen for the swap over of friends. Location is really good too. Enough of a way out of Hay so that you get some wonderful peace and quiet, but just a short drive into town for access to restaurants and shops.

Overall, a fantastic place to spend some quality time!

We enjoyed a fantastic weekend at these cottages, celebrating a friend's stag weekend. The cottages are in a perfect, picturesque setting, with Hay on Wye close by and other activities a short drive away. The cottages have been decorated to an extremely high standard and come with several thoughtful touches to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. Communication with Anna, the owner, was brilliant and she made us feel very welcome. For anyone considering this accommodation, I couldn't recommend it more - 10/10.

We rented both houses for three nights and they were perfect for us. Immaculately clean with well stocked kitchens and bathrooms, and more than enough room for the 17 people that can be accommodated. Amazing scenery and great access to Hay on Wye. Very easy booking process and Anna was so helpful and approachable for questions and advice throughout. I would happily book again for similar weekends in the future and highly recommend.

Fantastic cottages. We were part of a large group staying for a weekend. Cottage was brilliant with lots of space for the kids and different areas for the group to socialise. Also lots of good technology. Setting was beautiful with lots of nearby walks. We will definitely be back.

What great town! Lots of good walks, friendly people, great shops, cheap drinks(!!) And if your here the end of May, it's own, world renowned Literature Festival.

Oh, I forgot to mention the beautiful walks, canoeing, amazing countryside and live music. Have fun!

We have just had a wonderful winter break here. The glorious winter sunsets have been quite stunning. We highly recommend The Meeting House and Bryn Bwythn as a place where the wider family can come to relax and be restored.
We will return.

Really lovely modern conversion of a beautiful listed barn. Huge rooms, easily big enough for the whole family with room to spare. Walking distance from the Hay Book Festival. The views over the Wye Valley are nothing less than stunning.

Just returned from a long weekend here for a yearly friend get together. We went to centreparcs last year and found it to be quite expensive, so we all opted to look for somewhere cheaper that could house a party of 8 and one toddler.
‘The Meeting House’ (the larger of the houses) was everything we were looking for! It was a good central location for all of us to get to, and easy to find via sat nav.
The house was perfectly set up for our arrival, with the baby cot and high chair all ready to go. We dug out the stair gate (there are lots of cupboards in this place filled with lots of different things you can find useful- from children’s toys in the games room and blankets for outside) and there was bread, milk and treats in the kitchen.
We spent pretty much all of our long weekend in the house playing board games, star gazing, having marshmallows around the fire pit, and playing table tennis on the outside court- we definitely lucked out with the weather!
We did go into Hay-on-Wye town itself for a little explore on the Saturday which is full of quaint shops and great ice cream!
Overall it was a fantastic place for us all since it’s very rare that we meet up all together, and this was the perfect place for us all to catch up, have fun, and make memories (and even watch England win in the football!) Thankyou so much for having us stay!!

Simply idyllic. Stayed here over Christmas 2018 and the owners were the perfect hosts. Possibly the most well stocked holiday home we’ve ever stayed in. 5 minutes drive from Hay on Wye.

Returned year after year in September. Wonderful property in great location.

Been here a few times now. It is a wonderful place and has large rooms with plenty of beds. It's in an amazing location.

What an idyllic setting! For anyone wanting beautiful walks, fabulous views and a very well-appointed and cosy place to stay, this is perfect.
