You can’t access Narbeth Castle at the moment because there are boards saying it’s a dangerous building. However, I was able to take some photos with a long zoom lens through the barriers. It’s a shame as there are probably some interesting stories to tell here, but only one board remains at the moment.

Narbeth itself is a smashing town with lots of interesting independent shops.

Stunning views across the estuary and a lovely tea shop can be found opposite.

Lovevly Castle ruins, we went in a sunny day. We found information about this castle there. Free entrance et free parking on the main road, 2 min after passing the castle. Only bad point, few rubbish on the floor.

Didn't actually visit the castle, but the town is an absolute delight. On-street parking available and great range of shops. All the useful shops, butcher, baker, chemist and small supermarket together with lots of lovely, independent shops selling all sorts of beautiful things. Very good coffee at Queens Hall and fantastic cinnamon buns from Oh Crumbs!

This is a ruined castle located in the town of Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Visitors to the castle can expect to see the remains of the fortifications that once stood there, including parts of the walls and towers. The castle was built in the 13th century by the Welsh prince, Rhys ap Gruffydd, and was later occupied by English forces during the 14th century.
One of the main features of Narberth Castle is its location, which offers visitors stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The castle is situated on a hill overlooking the town of Narberth and the surrounding hills and valleys. Visitors can walk along the castle walls and take in the beautiful scenery, while also imagining what life would have been like for those who once lived in the castle. In addition to the views, visitors to Narberth Castle can learn about the history of the site through informational signs and displays. The castle is managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, which has installed interpretive panels throughout the site to help visitors understand the castle's history and significance.

We had a very good guide named David. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the castle and passed that knowledge to us in an entertaining way. It was a lovely day out and look forward to returning at some time in the future.

Fabulous venue for all the family. There is something for everyone. Your able to hire any equipment, or, take your own. Just be mindful that if your going on the water, you are required to wear a life jacket. There is nothing negative about the quality of the centre. I look forward to visiting the centre on a regular basis.

Took the grandchildren.
They loved all the nooks and crannies and the vaulted room.
A great place to picnic etc so close to the town.

One doesn't need a ticket - free to enter. The information boards were very useful. A quiet site which is well maintained. A very pleasant visit. It may be hard to find as there are no direction posts to the site.

Lovely place for a short dog walk. Some of the castle walls are still standing and are very beautiful in the right weather.

Lovely, not very big but OK if you are staying in the area. I wouldn't recommend travelling far to get her, as it only takes about half hour to see.
