Penally Abbey

We stayed in Rooms 11 and 12 for two nights and loved every moment. In addition to having a stunning view of the grounds and the sea in the distance, we essentially had a private terrace since those were the only two rooms on that floor.

Service was exemplary from start to finish. All the staff we spoke to were extremely professional.

The interiors are very tastefully decorated and this is as far from tacky as you'll get. If you like understated elegance and want a classy and discreet getaway, this is the hotel for you.

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming and understated hotel. We opted for a smaller room and this was the perfect choice for us, it was bigger than expected with a good sized bathroom, and was decorated to a high standard. The service we received was friendly but formal throughout and the staff were happy to help us with anything we asked.
We opted for the tasting menu on one night which was a fantastic experience, I am genuinely surprised by some of the reviews on here- having been fortunate enough to have eaten in many renowned eateries - we were not disappointed. The menu was varied and each course an experience in its own, the food was of extremely high quality.

Overall a wonderful stay, walking distance from the beach and Tenby, with a fantastic dining experience.

It was a wonderful, relaxing stay for us at Penally Abbey. The weather cooperated and was fantastic. The service was always attentive, friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable at Penally Abbey, many thanks.

Absolutely stunning building and decor with gorgeous views and gardens! Afternoon tea was exquisite and left me wanting to come back and try all the food they have to offer.

Parking was an issue and they asked us to move the car from their carpark due to a large group booking. There was parking available on the green a short walk from the building but on initially arriving this was full.

This place is so special. It is so beautifully done, WOW. The rooms are gorgeous, it is the kind of place you don't want to leave. The grounds are beautiful with a ruin and a holy well! The restaurant was amazing, no need to eat anywhere else. Cocktails in the drawing room before and after dinner, walks along the coast during the day, just stunning and the friendliest staff!

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location (very short walk from the train station in Penally. Beautiful 20min walk down the beach to Tenby. Easy walk to the coast trail and incredible views). All of the staff was fantastic. The restaurant is also exceptional. I was very glad I chose to stay here in the smaller town rather than in Tenby. (To everyone at the hotel thank you for the lovely two days!)

Beautiful and charming boutique hotel built in the ruins of a 12th Century Abby; the grounds overlooking the ocean are breathtaking. Food in their 2 rosette restaurant was delicious. They serve small plates but not like tapas, but proper al a carte, fine dining dishes. Breakfast is included which I always think is a bonus, plus they give you a slice of cake and tea on arrival; a great touch! Dogs are welcomed and the service is friendly and relaxed. We will be returning.

We had a fab stay in this lovely boutique hotel just outside Tenby. Such a beautiful and unique place, absolutely stunning interiors and great to see all the love and care the team put into the hotel. We loved the complimentary tea and cake, just what we needed after a long drive. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very accomodating and made us and Luca the dog feel very relaxed.

Penally is such a beautiful hotel. The team are so helpful and friendly, you have tea and cake offered when you arrive. The rooms were stunning, brilliant views. The restaurant for dinner was also amazing, really lovely food and decor. You can walk a short way from the hotel to the beach.

Went for xmas afternoon tea. It was beautiful, food, service, location and atmosphere.

Everything is beautiful, peaceful. Paradise on earth. The owners are so kind. All the team is perfect.

The MOST beautiful hotel with the MOST attentive staff...we were seriously impressed! Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well. The attention to detail in everything was superb, from perfectly crafted cocktails by an excellent, engaging and friendly barman to the delicious dinner and breakfasts in the sumptuous surroundings of an elegant dining room.
The bedrooms are in keeping with the luxurious feel of the lounge, dining room and bar. The design and furnishings make the space feel considered but not overpowered.
It is rare that we would go back to a hotel, as we prefer to try something new, but we will most definitely go back to Penally Abbey.
A quick shout out tot he owners....not only did you create the most elegant, relaxing and ambient spaces but you also chose your staff so well. 10 out of 10!!

We stayed at Penally Abbey to celebrate my birthday just before Christmas and it could not have been more perfect. We were welcomed so warmly and the staff were so friendly and accommodating throughout. They made such an effort with lots of lovely treats which made my birthday even more special - they really did go above and beyond! We stayed in one of the coach houses with a beautiful view out to sea. The room was luxurious and comfortable - as was the rest of the house. Delicious food, delightful cocktails and wine, in a simply stunning place. Could not recommend it highly enough! Thank you, Penally - we’ll be back soon

Visited Penally Abbey last weekend for a one night stay for our wedding anniversary. Beautiful building and grounds. Our room was lovely, only criticism I could say is that the t.v in our room was tiny and a small fridge would've been good but not an issue for us as we were not staying long. We had a lovely walk from the Hotel down the beach to Tenby town and back in the day. Returned to dine in the evening at the Hotel and were seated in the sun room as we had the dog with us. Myself and wife both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Great service and staff were all very friendly. Top that off with a nice breakfast before departure in the morning and made for a lovely stay and look forward to returning again in the future.

What an experience you get at this exquisite hotel. We went for one of their famous cream teas and how gorgeous it was too. Freshly made fruit and plain scones, which were light and soft and delicious with incredible cream and fresh made Jam. Beautiful. Service was as ever impeccable. Can't recommend strongly enough. If a relaxing ambiance, surrounded by luxurious fixtures and fittings, eating glorious food is your thing then this is the place for you.

What can I say and where do I start! It was Christmas and I and my two friends were excited and expectant. From the moment we arrived, it was magical. We were greeted warmly and sincerely by the attentive staff. Our rooms were fabulous and the food and service was perfect. Christmas will never be the same again! Thank you Lucas and Mel and all the team for an unforgettable experience.

Went to Penally Abbey for a birthday afternoon tea treat. We absolutely loved it. The best chocolate brownie we think we’ve ever had. Lovely dining room and view. Definitely want to come back and perhaps stay until the hotel.

Lovely hotel, the staff were really friendly and could not do enough for you. Located in a great position and only a short walk from the beach. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, will definitely visit again soon.

Fantastic experience! We came for the afternoon tea and had such a lovely afternoon. The staff were so friendly, the setting and dining room were beautiful and the food was incredible. Would really recommend for those looking for an afternoon treat!

Beautiful property and rooms! Loved our stay at Penally Abbey Hotel. They upgraded us to a room with an incredible view, and all the meals we ate were delicious - right from breakfast, to tea and dinner. The wifi was a bit spotty in the room, but then they also left a variety of magazines and novels to read - just what you need to do on holiday! Will definitely be back when we’re visiting Pembrokeshire again.
