We had a wonderful time at Oriel Hotel in Saint Asaph. The staff was more than friendly and helpful. Our more than 30 people group was treated like royals. The food was excellent and everywhere was impeccably clean. The room was big and beautiful, with a very nice view on a little Japanese garden where we could find tranquility. We will definitely go back and we thank everybody there. (In particular for the hospitality and the nice breakfast bag to take away as we had to leave at 5 am!)

We booked a deluxe double room, and what a lovely room we had. Extremely clean and all amenities that we needed. Bed was very comfy.
We used the pool and the sauna whilst we stayed, the pool was warm. The only negative thing was that the changing rooms for the pool could have done with being cleaner, strong smell of urine in the changing room.
We booked an evening meal and ate in the conservatory, we had a starter and a main each. The food was lovely and well presented. The staff very helpful from the moment we checked in. Massive respect to the house keeping team. House keepers seem to not get much credit these days and they are the heart of the hotels. I hope each and everyone of you are proud of the job that you do as its not an easy job.
Will definitely be re-booking.

Visited for the first time in November and had a lovely stay. Crisis was averted by the lovely young attendent in the Spa as he told us they were closing at 4pm due to staff shortage which no mention was made of at reception when we checked in. He however stayed on until 5 which as we only book so we can use the pool and sauna due to health issues so this was very much appreciated. We ate in the hotel restaurant which was nice as was the gentleman on duty. Breakfast was very good too

Signed up to the gym and swimming a month ago.
Glad I did
Great gym and swimming facilities and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Disabled access changing room and steps into the pool for those with limited mobility
The sauna is a bonus along with well equipped gym.

I have 3 dogs so I've struggled to find anywhere in recent weeks that would accommodate us. The staff here are superb. So friendly and helpful. Plus pulled out all the stops for my dogs. Made to feel so welcome.
Thank you

We absolutely love this hotel, and have now visited on 4 occasions.

The location is a perfect base if your want to explore North Wales.

The bedroom's are great and spacious, with a queensize bed. The bar, and conservatory are both great areas to relax and have a drink.

The restaurant is also impressive, with good food at very fair prices.

The staff throughout the hotel are lovely and extremely helpful.

All in all, this is a great hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A group of us stayed here for around a week, and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The surroundings are nice with a lovely suntrap patio area, as well as gardens. The rooms were nice and large with everything you need, TV WiFi was great, large comfy bed and soft pillows. Sound proofing was excellent and you could not hear your neighbours too. The breakfast was a buffet style and standard English affair, also they have juices, yogurt, cereals and some pastries. A small bar for alcoholic and soft drinks. Staff were helpful and it was a nice and chill stay.

This is a lovely hotel for venues and for the Probus club. It serves very good food for lunch and dinner partys and the staff are great.

Stayed here many times with my wife. Couldn't wish for better for the price. Good location, nice staff, clean, good facilities and nice food/bar. Well equipped gym and newly refurbished sauna/pool area.
Today they accomodated us despite me booking the wrong date. Very good customer service, highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our stay. Superior room was huge, super king size bed, black out curtains and a nice big fan meant we had a lovely peaceful sleep. The staff age really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was cooked to perfection! We will be back again!

We stayed from the 12th of September to the 16th. We had a very pleasant stay. We had our wedding anniversary and the staff gave us a card and decorated our bed. Very clean hotel, helpful polite staff and well located to visit North Wales 🏴??????. Nice breakfasts and enjoyed the food. Would definitely visit again. Sean and Sue.

This hotel is rated 3 star and I understand why as not quite up to scratch as other places I have stayed as 4 star. However, knowing the rating when I booked and not having high expectations, they surpassed them. Breakfasts lovely, nothing too much trouble. One of our party was coeliac (gluten-free) - not a problem. All their staff are super accommodating, friendly and efficient. They do everything in their power to make your stay as welcoming, comfortable and pleasant as possible. Cleanliness is brilliant, service excellent, nothing too much trouble. Enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay with friends.
Would I come again.....YES. 👌😊

My first time at the Oriel House and I'll give it top marks, the staff were very polite and very helpful no matter what you asked, the food was delicious and the alcohol was reasonably priced. I payed £70 for a room for the night which included breakfast and iron was money well spent and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a it for a function.

Oriel hotel is definitely a highly recommended place to get married from the experience me and my partner had there! Michelle, the organiser is so professional and lovely. We got married in one of the rooms overlooking the garden, with windows spanning 2 walls, the room is very well lit and was the perfect setting to get married in. For the meal and evening party, we was moved next door into a very spacous room which had a bar, a great space to dance and a buffett area. The food.... could not have asked for more! Absolutely brillient, not one person complained about it! All needs catered for without mistake. The ONLY critism would be that no matter how many times we spelt our last name, we still ended up with a card with the wrong spelling on it.

The hotel itself is spacous with well lit rooms. A swimming pool and gym can be found on site which a number of our wedding guests used and commented on. A garden that you can relax in can be found just outside which provides some fantastic photo opportunities, especially in autumn / winter with the leaves and sky. So for anyone getting married, this is definitely one to consider for your venue!

Just the best place we stayed this trip. Staff all enthusiastic and friendly. Gorgeous grounds. Excellent food and drink. Very comfortable rooms. Swimming pool very clean. Exercise room looked very well kept, did not use. Sauna out of order when we visited. Some cosmetic work needs to be done on exterior.

For family reasons, we need to visit St Asaph several times a year and The Oriel Hotel serves as the best possible base. We journey there from North Yorkshire by train (3 or 4 trains!), bus and taxi and the journey is inevitably horrendous. The trains are always over-crowded, often run late and the journey takes all day.

Therefore, having a comfortable, friendly base serving great food is essential and The Oriel always provides this. We always book the evening meal and inevitably have family join us on some of the evenings - everyone is impressed by the quality, even us who are very fussy Vegans!

The staff are wonderful, always friendly and welcoming. On this trip, Joanne on reception “went the extra mile” to help out and Michelle in the restaurant was brilliant each evening - even coping with Mum’s special demands and exchanged the trendy slate “plate” for a pot one, without fuss, when Aunty asked her. She and the chef accommodated our early dinner each evening and made all the evening meals a special occasion.

The rooms are great - lovely high ceilings and spacious, armchairs, dressing table/desk, good hairdryer, iron and ironing board, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. The huge bed is very comfortable.(room 111 on this occasion) Great location, very quiet, good car park and bus stop right outside.

We highly recommend.

A very pleasant stay at the Oriel Hotel. Room was spacious and clean, bed was lovely and comfortable. We had a road facing room and traffic can be quite noisy early morning so if your a light sleeper like my husband the back rooms would be quieter. I had a relaxing morning swim. Breakfast staff were friendly and attentive and food was delicious, great breakfast to set you up for the day.

Lovely hotel. Room was huge and most importantly clean!! The bed was so comfortable...breakfast was a little odd though there was a continental buffet and you had to order anything cooked which on the menu was literally one thing a cooked full English so not sure why there was a menu however was nice to know it was fresh and had not been sat in a tray for hours! Would definitely stay here again!!
