Could not want for more in this tranquil setting. The cabins are beautiful, well built and have everything you need. As a family of 3 with a little boy we were able to comfortably relax and explore in the most natural environment but with all the comforts you’ll need around you. In the most lovely area with amazing walks over fields or through the woods right on your doorstep.

Female solo traveler here! Seven Acre Woods was absolutely perfect for me. Great communication ahead of getting there, with all kind of advice and recommendations which is really handy if you're an anxious traveller. Arrived on time for an ice lolly which is always a plus 😉

It IS a family campsite so if the sound of children makes you miserable, it's not the place for you.

The campsite is small but mighty. I booked the smaller glamping tent and it was pristine upon arrival.
Massive pros for me were:
- HOT shower. Delightful.
- The facilities hut is kept very clean and tidy.
- The owners are based on the campsite and are super friendly and available.
- Location is stunning. Leafy walks and public footpaths literally from the campsite. So easy.

Overall felt really safe and owners and campers alike were respectful and friendly.

Just arrived back from a beautiful stay here and can not rate this place enough!!! The play areas and woods were perfect for entertaining our two boys. The goats were also an instant hit. The cabins were very spotless and well equipped and we had a very peaceful and comfortable stay. Definity ask for wood as we very much enjoyed cooking hotdogs over the firepit. The location is perfect; less than 10 minute drive to Bodiam and Battle, which are both worth a visit. A walk to the local pub is not to be missed, beautiful setting and a lovely village and delicious fresh food!

Finally got round to sharing some photos from our stay @seven_acre_woods which was brilliant! Our cabin had so much charm and character, with lots of lovely details. The kids loved the bunk beds and we loved the en suite 😉 They also loved feeding the goats, playing in the woods, table tennis, slide… you name it. I would thoroughly recommend them for camping or one of their 5 different cabins, all with their own character. 😃

We all absolutely loved staying at SAW. Steve and Ruth have built an incredible site. We camped and there was so much privacy and the other campers were super considerate (there are only 6 pitches so it was wonderfully quiet). The camp itself is beautiful with tons of little handmade touches. The facilities are great, with good access to washing up areas and showers. Our kids loved the play area in the forest and the swing in the main campsite. The walks are great, plus you're close enough to the beaches to spend a day out there. There is a large Sainsbury's 12mins away which means that if you don't want to lug everything with you, you can always pop down for supplies. We Will absolutely be back again.

Steve, Ruth and Harrison have made Seven Acre Woods a little paradise. The craftsmanship of the cabins made our little break so special. This is a magical place, especially for kids. Thank you for hosting us.

What an amazing place to visit and stay. We stayed in The Boar Wood cabin and it exceeded our expectations. The children absolutely loved everything about the place. From the little windows next to the beds to the log burner and little park and play areas. The surrounding woods are beautiful to walk through and the grounds around the cabins are immaculately kept. We will definitely be visiting the Seven Acre Woods again. Honestly cannot recommend it enough.

What a fabulous campsite! We had a lovely few days away camping at Seven Acre Woods. The campsite was small and quiet, just what we wanted. It had a real back to nature feel but also had great toilet and shower facilities. Our kids could safely explore and play, the kidz woods were great!

Seven Acre Woods really is a magical place to stay! Steve & Ruth are so friendly and welcoming, the cabins are of a high standard but still have that rustic woodland charm with everything you need for a little getaway. The honesty store has the little things you may need along with other bits too and is such a lovely thing to have. We stayed in the Boar Wood Cabin (2 adults and 2 children, 12 & 7 and our Rottweiler!) and it was fantastic- we wouldn’t have changed a thing (other than the weather!!!). There’s lovely walks directly from the site or within a short drive. We have also camped there before and the facilities are top class and always clean. We would definitely (and have to many already!) recommend a stay here either in the cabins or camping. We shall see you again Seven Acre Woods and we can’t wait!

Perfect place for relaxing and getting back to nature. It’s amazing how well the cabins are kitted out, everything you need. The cubby is a nice touch if you’ve forgotten anything. Loved the fire pit.!! If anything is needed Steve (aka Fred) & Ruth are there to help, amazing hosts. We will be back.

Parking up and strolling past handmade signs on wooden posts, up to a picket fence to ring a bell and being greeted by a huge smile and warm presence - was the most perfect start to our last-minute camping trip. We turned around and were standing on the edge of a large, grassy plot of land with trees, a tyre swing and electric hook ups. Not a pitch in sight - just an open area for us to choose where we wanted our tent to go. Perfect!

We grabbed a trailer and wheelbarrow, provided by the campsite and began unloading the car - set up camp - then went to explore. Within minutes we were immersed in beautiful woodland with a hand-built play park in the woods (slide, kitchen role play, bike track, den building, obstacle course) and stumbled across some stunning log cabins, all built by the owners and their son.

There is a no-music policy which was put in place by the council - they got it spot on! We slept under stars listening to owls and watched woodpeckers hard at work in the morning.

There is a cubby with an honesty box - containing food/drink essentials. It also has books, games, toys and wooden ornaments made by the owners. There are camping essentials such as pegs and guide ropes if you have lost/broken/forgotten your own! And ice packs to borrow and swap over throughout your stay.

We hired a fire pit for the 3 nights for £10 (price for the whole stay). We topped up our wood every night from the wood store at £2.50 a bucket. You could probably buy your own wood a little cheaper but - who has space in their car when camping for a big old bag of wood!? There is something really quite special in knowing your money is going back into the hands that have built your surroundings.

This campsite is beyond perfect if you want to feel free whilst camping, not restricted to pitches, plots and sleeping right next to your car. If you want nature and for your kids to safely explore - this is it. It's perfect!

Me and the family spent a wonderful few days at Seven Acre Woods. Such a magical place to stay, the thing that really got me at first was the sound of the place, so quiet but filled with the noise of the forest with birds singing the whole time. Super relaxing vibe. The owners, Steve and Ruth are absolutely lovely people, really welcoming and committed to you having a fab time. We had really good craic around the campfire, cooking up the BBQ box that we ordered from the owners and also digging into the other dinners which were delicious. The grounds are great for walks around the reservoir or bike riding too. Plenty for the kids to do on site, feeding the goats, den building and running round burning off some steam. Cabins are so well laid out, really cosy and comfortable. Highly recommended, this is a real gem. Also, get down to the pub in Seddlescombe too which had some awesome food. Hastings fun only a 20 min drive away too.
