Great location, I think views would have been great, but it's foggy today.
Picnic area, loads of seating along the walk (memorial benches please be respectful). Toilets are a major plus. Cafe but closed. Not many people around. Very quiet. Would love to see it in the summer. Free parking.

Free parking and great for dogs. Toilets also available. Several walks along the coast or through the wooded area. Some beautiful coastal scenes or shaded woodland walks, also a population of red squirrels occupy the trees in the area. Overall a very nice place to enjoy.

Perfect dog walk when it's sunny 🌞 can dip in & out of the enchanting forest too & get some shade. Frequent waste bins for doggy doodoo. Lovely beach/coastal path which is suitable for prams/wheelchairs. Think there is a bacon roll van there at weekends. There is a war memorial & lots of benches & picnic tables. Sorry, forgot to picture them as I was enjoying sitting in the sun overlooking the sea. Some old ruined buildings hiding in the trees too. Good paths, well maintained. A mountain bike track too. Decent size car park which I believe is free. Lovely smell of wild garlic this time of year. In the words of my fiancee - Enjoy 🙂

Beautiful place!
Free parking.
Lovely woodland walks with the chance to spot some red squirrels.
Follow the path round for 10/15 minutes and you reach some little steps down to a lovely sandy beach. When the tide is in, it's a perfect place for a mix of sand and sea. The tide does go out a long way leaving a large sandy expanse.
Shell hunters paradise as there are so many!

Didn't know this lovely place existed.
Free car park, benches, picnic tables, toilets and cafe with car park. Lovely walk through the woodland which is supposed to house red squirrels, unfortunately we didn't see any during our visit.
There are different paths you can take and if you're lucky to take the correct one, you will be fortunate to come across a secluded sandy beach! You will also come across a pet cemetery.
Definitely worth a visit 👍😊

A beautiful hidden gem. Just stopped off by chance and was truly amazed by the beautiful views, little coves and woodlands with red squirrels. Free parking too.

Beautiful place, perfect for a forest or beach walk, we go here every time we visit, perfect if you just want to amble around or watch the local wildlife. It even has a little pet cemetery. We love walking out dog round here.🐕❤

We had a most enjoyable walk around here. The coastal path is well signed and there are information boards most of the way to point out places of interest. There is so much to see, amazing views, red squirrels (if you're lucky, we weren't), remains of the old estate that used to be here, napoleonic era fortifications, a pet cemetery and much more. There is a sizeable car park with well maintained toilets and a lovely cafe in the old toll house. Well recommended

Great free parking and nice walk through the woods takes you to a nice beach never busy here and great sand with a gentle slopes into the water good for a paddle or a swim further out. There are good toilets facilities at the car park

Free parking! Toilets here as well.
Lots of walking areas to stretch your legs. Lovely little spot to pull in and enjoy the views and a bit of bird spotting, I saw a few people with their binoculars out over the sea! Wheelchair/buggy friendly as the ground is flat here.

Lovely place to visit, it has the best of both worlds beach and woods with plenty of benches for picnics and plenty of bins too which you don't get very often. Free parking too but not too big. It is pram friendly too. There is paths that are just grass and I will definitely be going back to explore those ones and this time hopefully see some red squirrels.

Beautiful, unspoilt woodland and beaches. Great place for walking and cycling (and spotting red squirrels if you're lucky). Toilets (but they were closed about 5pm) and plenty of parking, but get there early during holiday time.

Nice coastal or woodland walk.

Shame there's never an ice cream van when we're there, they'd make a killing!

We've been to the little cafe before, it is very little so limited space.

Great for paddling in the sea, dogs love it too!

A beautiful natural area for family walks. A Beautiful beach, which is usually quiet and a large forest with hidden treasures and ruins to find. A good place to see red squirrels too. There is also an old pet cemetery which someone has added a grave for Dobby, complete with a sock. The parking is free and there are public toilets. You could easily spend a whole day wandering around here. Lots of local history too. I spent many hours here as a child and recently took my grandson, who loved it. It's a safe area for kids to run and play. We also took a pushchair with us and found the paths easy to push it along.

A very nice place to take a stroll and unwind. A very nice cafe on site and good car parking and public toilets. Great views and a nice forest walk with unique pet cemetery. Future site of the, 'Land and Lakes' Holiday Park development, with this area hopefully remaining for public recreational use. Well worth a visit. :)

Excellent on hot days to walk the dogs. Very cool in the woods and numerous beaches a step away to cool in the sea.
Dog bins throughout.

Lovely walk. Weather been terrible all day. Once it stopped raining we headed over with our dog for a walk. Sun came out and it was beautiful. Shame cafe and public toilets were closed.

What a lovely park. Plenty of paths for a varied walk. Some interesting artifacts in the park. Nice little beach area. We spent a good few hours here. To top it all we got to watch several red squirrels running about. Free parking and clean toilets. Highly recommended ***** unfortunately there was a large pile of dog mess left in the picnic area. No excuse at all. A bin was only 10ft away! You should be ashamed, you give dog owners a bad name!
