Great fish and chips - or should I say "whale and a field full of potatoes." The fish is massive and perfectly cooked. There are enough chips in a portion for 2 people. The menu contains quite a few unusual items - but there's nothing wrong with that.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. We're going to be regular customers.

Best chippy I've been in for a very long time, all the best chippy options available and love the fried bits on top of the chips, delicious. Price was great too!

Went a while back for the first time. Had heard some good things.
The staff were inundated with customers, all happy and cheerful and engaging well with everyone who came in.
We took our food home. (Bout 2.5 maybe 3 miles away) sat down to eat.

Genuinely we now have this as our preference over other chip shops. We live closer to.about 4 or 5 of them, we even drive past a couple to go here when it's open.

Amazing food, great prices and good sized portions.

Been back many times and little one always calls out - dinner time - when we are pulling up. 😀

I’ve just had a pleasure of trying fish and chips ( box meal) from this place. I must say it was absolute delight. There is a little car park just opposite to this place with pleasant Mountain View. If they give some salt and vinegar in hand would be great.

Excellent fish n chips here and home made fish cake. This will be our local chippy from now on

No exaggeration, the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Cod cooked to order, chips always fresh because of customer turnover. It cost £21 for two of us but owing to the amazing sized portions the chips lasted three meals . The fruity curry was the best my partner has ever had. Staff friendly and helpful, and the owner/cook looks to be an excellent boss. Going back to Gronant in July and Sunny Sands chippy will be the first thing we will be doing.

Had a little wait for fish and a pizza + garlic bread but completely understandable as really busy and cooking food to order so didn't mind waiting.
I'm staying at presthaven and after reading reviews for on-site chippy decided to get our traditional last night takeaway from here and so very glad I did! Spot on! Really can't express how good food was.

Highly recommend! Beautiful fish. Tasty meat and potatoe pie. Fresh traditional chips! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Every one had a smile which was welcoming. Would recommend the FRUITY curry sauce too. Overall fantastic prices and quality food! Many thanks for the fabulous service 😀

Quite possibly one of the best fish and chips I've had! They ask you if you want fish as soon as you walk in so it's ready! The fish and chips meal box was perfect size and price. Gravy was really good! The spicy curry sauce wasn't spicy but none the less 10 10

Lovely food really good choice.

Great value for money and nice food.
We went in Friday and there was a good 12 people in front of us, we waited half an hour but it was worth the wait.
No inside dining but some tables outside to munch on while looking at the hills.

Fantastic chippie! Had fish chips peas and fruity curry which was brilliant! They also sell roe in batter which not many places do! Well werth a try. Another family member had chicken pie which was warmed in the microwave instead of cooked in an oven so all the pastry around the edge had gone rock hard. Very slow service but knew this as I'd already read the reviews so was prepared to wait as it also said food amazing, which other than the pie was! Definitely would go again and can recommend. Friendly staff ok prices.
