We booked this last minute, it was an ideal place for visiting the Norfolk broads. It was a lovely place, nice, clean and comfy. Had a meal in the restaurant, they were huge portions and chips were the best we’ve ever had. Breakfast was lovely, a full English and plenty of cereal if you wanted it. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the small double, which was the only room left, and it was alright for a couple of nights, and excellent value for money with breakfast included. Only downside was our bathroom was just outside the room, so if you needed it in the night, you had to get dressed / or take a dressing gown with you in case someone came out the other 2 rooms, but I knew that when I booked anyway. Definitely stay here again, but would go for one of the larger rooms if they are available, but it they weren’t and the small double was, I’d be happy to stay in it again

A great little Public House. Three rooms above the restaurant/pub that closes at 10:30 so no loud noises at night. Peaceful surroundings. Very relaxing place to just chill!

Perfect place to stay for a few nights. Very quiet rooms, you couldn't hear the restaurant below despite being full and load downstairs. The breakfast was spot on and the service was excellent. We would totally recommend staying here if you get the chance.

clean exellent service lovely food lovely location clean nice toilets. a 5 star establishment, pauls standards are top notch. superb! highly recommended. 28/06/2019 still as fabulous as back in the day! I used to come here regularly from 19 years old now over 60 Paul the owner runs a clean tight ship., food best in Norfolk as its consistent, top quality and not one week brilliant next iffy it's always brilliant! Lovely staff, mint clean Inc toilets, no fruit machines, no large screen TV, no music pollution! Just a beautiful old school public house /restaurant quality of service, food etc and you can talk and hold a conversation in here, best of all.... No screaming 😱 children mostly ..as parents who use this establishment seem responsible considerate people. An old school establishment!

Had a two night stay. Room comfortable clean. Stairs were very steep. Shower worked but think shower head could do with a limescale clean up.
Service was professional and friendly Food, good menu for evening dinner and an really good choice for breakfast.

Walked here whilst staying locally. The first time I've eaten here and was impressed with the food and service.
The interior is larger than we thought and very traditional. Had a good time and will be returning.

I had grilled sea bass & tiger prawns in garlic. My friend had a 10oz ribeye steak which melted in his mouth! Delicious meals. A must visit if you are in the area, you'll not be disappointed

Fish dishes very nice, with traditional but well made chips. Nice cider (Aspalls). Lovely banana split. The staff were friendly and attentive, checking that we had no allergies even. Plenty of car parking space . Dog friendly in bar and conservatory area, which had a pleasant outlook on fields with horses and donkeys.
