The Old Rectory

A really lovely small hotel. Excellent facilities, from the conservatory for dining, the lounge, the bar to the beautiful gardens. There's even a swimming pool.
Food was really good.
But best of all, the staff were all so brilliant and kind to me and my husband who is not very stable. Many thanks to you all.

The Old Rectory never fails to impress whenever we go. We attended a birthday lunch for 45 people and it was great. The atmosphere in brilliant and being able to use the outside area was a bonus too. The staff were great, as always and so was the food. Everyone said how nice it was. Will certainly be returning. *****

We had our wedding here on Saturday and all I can say is Wow! Thank you Becky and all the staff here who went above and beyond from when we first booked in Oct 22' til we left on Sunday morning. You were all so attentive and every guest commented on how beautiful the whole day was. The food was amazing too, could not fault anything at all. Thank you so much xx

We had a buffet style meal here for a wake. It was a lovely meal. The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. We were greeted at the door and shown into a beautiful room. Everything was excellent. There was ample parking outside. It was set in lovely grounds. Would definitely recommend it here.

We went there today for Sunday lunch with friends and it was excellent food and all the staff were brilliant, especially Olivia , but the furniture does need replacing its take you back to the seventies, it needs to be put on a bonfire.

Excellent venue for a large gathering of family and friends. Homemade sausage rolls, scones and cakes were delicious

The heated outdoor pool was brilliant, perfect for two boys even in the cool weather. The staff were really friendly and there was a lovely family feel to the service that we received. Our family room was a bit of a tight squeeze for all 4 of us but we embraced the experience and slept very well. The breakfast was delicious, lots of variety and kept us going for hours. Thank you for a memorable half term holiday!

Had my sons wedding here. I cannot recommend this place enough. The service was beyond expectation. They couldn't do enough for you to make your day special..
The rooms were lovely with a nice shower and toilet facilities very light and airy.
The function room was a gorgeous vaulted spacious area. Which seated 60 people easily
Food was exceptionaly good, tasty and large portioned
Outside space is well kept with a nice pool and seating area.

Our son and daughter-in-law had their wedding venue here. Everything went smoothly, staff were friendly food was very good too. We all stayed overnight rooms were good and clean. Beds were comfortable a very good experience in every way 😊

We returned for a valentines meal and overnight stay after getting married here last year and were not disappointed. The welcome was lovely and the room very clean and spacious. The food in the evening was delicious and good quality, we couldn't fault it. The breakfast was also delicious. One thing we love the most about this place is the staff who are all so friendly and helpful. Especially Becky who is a credit to the hotel. Thank you for such a relaxing stay and we will be returning again.

We celebrated with 32 quests our Golden Wedding anniversary with a lunch at the Old Rectory.
The room and table decorations were excellent as was the very helpful staff. `Our guests all reported having a great time and thought that the food and service was outstanding.
My wife and I had a most enjoyable time. Many many thanks.

What a wonderful place with amazing staff, so kind and welcoming ..special mention to Tina who was such a lovely person, juggling several different jobs in calm collective way, also other young lady on duty with her(sorry didn't get name). Food was absolutely delicious too. Only downside was the weather and that's no one's fault!
We will return to this lovely place, no complaints at all...fantastic, thank you x

Went for anniversary we was given private room, which was a pleasant surprise, lovely food and plenty of it, pleasant staff, easy access, easy parking and lovely lights in the garden, only small criticism is the exit has a sign on the left so can be difficult to see traffic approaching. Would defenately recommend for either a quiet meal or large function we had our wedding reception there 27 years ago.

I cannot comment on the rooms, since we only attended a daytime function. The light refreshments, coffee and tea were excellent. The function room was light and clean with a lovely view on the surrounding garden. The service was friendly and attentive.

Me and my now husband had our wedding here 04/01/23 and it was amazing. Becky the wedding coordinator at this location is amazing. So welcoming, so friendly, very organised and nothing was ever too much. Becky was on hand on the day and checked regularly to see if there was anything I needed as I got ready here. The venue was decorated beautifully, the food was very good (we had a buffet), everything was very organised and there was plenty of staff on hand if we needed anything at all. The dj was very good and very friendly and allowed us to request songs once our playlist had ran out. We stayed here for the night also and the bed was comfy and the breakfast was amazing especially for my hangover. The venue is a very beautiful placed and fairly priced. I would highly recommend anyone to have their special day here.

I didn't actually stay here, but did attend my mums 90th birthday party here. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. The food was excellent, fresh and free flowing. The room was beautiful and light. Everything my mum or her guests wanted was catered for. Thank you for making my mums birthday run so smoothly.

staff made us very welcome. Spacious room with en suite shower room. Able to put room heating on if you needed it. Ample parking & able to catch the bus opp the hotel into Norwich which is about 5 miles away. Jarrold dept store & Looses massive antique store well worth a visit. Piping hot, generous breakfasts & good selection of evening meals
(vegetarians well catered for). Would 100% stay again & can recommend if you're in the Norwich area & need a base.

Our visit was on the occasion of our daughters wedding . If anyone is looking for a wedding venue This is a fantastic place . Rebecca the wedding planner is just remarkable. The owner and his staff provided a superb day that went without a hitch . Fantastic food , great rooms ... We can't fault it !
