I'm a repeat customer to Gather these days.
Breakfast is great in this polished eatery and I'm pleased that there is now some flexibility on the offering (I hate grilled tomato).
Dinner is also brilliant. Great food & lovely staff contribute to a memorable dining experience.
Lovely place to eat while marvelling at the views.

Our project at Wheels of Fleet, for the second year, had our end of year meal at the Gather.
All 18 of us, enjoyed the delicious food that was served up, and the friendly service made our time there all the more better.
One of the most stunning locations you could go for a meal, we cannot recommend the Gather highly enough.

Fantastic place. We had lunch there early November. Plenty of tables available but apparently in peak season it is essential to book. Varied menu, reasonable prices and good quality. Friendly staff. The views are fantastic over the coast towards the Isle of Man in the distance. Plenty of car parking. Dogs allowed in the outside seating area. Would definitely return

Lovely views overlooking the bay such a beautiful venue that has maximised the view by a modern architectural design. Indoor and outdoor seating both great. We were there for their breakfast menu which was eaten with delight. Flexible menu so you can add items as you please. The came recommended by multiple friends and now recommended by me too. Definitely worth a visit

Food was good quality and reasonably priced, the menu was a little confused, and I was expecting a little more meaty options given that it was on and run by a livestock farm! If it was seasonal, then that should've been clearer. However, the food we did have was very tasty and arrived with little delay, the wine was at just the right temperature and the views were spectacular. Will definitely be going back as my sister lives nearby so visit regularly. Hope to see a steak on the menu next time!!!

Wow this place is amazing. The views are to die for. An absolutely beautiful place to stop at. We were on our way back to our hotel from a day out and had been recommended to stop here on the way home. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant and outdoor spaces were absolutely incredible, comfortable and tastefully decorated. A well thought out and planned area. Sadly we didn't have anything to eat but that's OK because the food looked fabulous and we are desperate to come back for a visit. Highly recommend Gather. Can't wait to come back.

The best breakfast out ever. Such friendly staff, amazing food, and the setting speaks for itself. Definitely book in advance to dine inside. There is a beautiful outside area (dog friendly) where light bites are available. It was too difficult to choose between sweet or savory, so we had both! Highly recommend the pancakes. Everyone in the area needs to eat here!

Fantastic location. Great outdoor eating area with blankets and fire pits to keep you warm on a chilly day or evening. Inside dining area was lovely with tsbles well spaced and where posdible seats were turned towards the amazing views. Food was lovely and well presented. Service was good and the staff were friendly.

Very friendly pub with excellent service and reasonable pricing. The views were stunning and there is a fantastic little walk to the top of the mountain behind the cafe. Highly recommended for all the family. A great stop off, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic full Scottish breakfast in one of the most gorgeous settings in the country.

Lovely staff, immaculate toilets, good value considering quality of ingredients and cooking.

Our foodie highlight of the week in Galloway was Gather , everything was perfect , the weather behaved so we had clear views across the to the Isle of Man from the front of the restaurant ,, what a location , the service was superb from walking through the door to leaving a few hours later everybody was friendly and so efficient but the real highlight was the food , from the prosciutto ,pesto and mozzarella flatbread to start to the Galloway crab and king prawn bruschetta for mains every mouthfull was exquisite, highly recommended if in the area

Absolutely stunning place to enjoy amazing breakfast 🍳 food is to die for 🤩 and the view is breathtaking. Staff very friendly and polite. Will definitely be back there if I have a chance 🙂🙂

Stunning location with delicious food.
Menu is eclectic and delicious. I ordered the Cevapi, a traditional meal from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been to B&H and ate Cevapi, but never seen it in the UK so I was curious as to how it would stack up with the "original", and it definitely did! It was delicious.
I went with my family and all of us enjoyed every part of our meal.

Great food and fantastic views. Friendly service. Prices quite reasonable. Had an excellent treat lunch here and would also be great for an evening meal.

Superb food, in a breathtaking setting (especially evenings) and friendly, welcoming service.
Multiple options for the vegetarian/vegan on your life too, which is refreshing.

Great view which allows you to see the sea if the weather is good. The food is nice with decent portions. I especially like the decor of the restaurant. Scampi 🍤 with homemade Tatar sauce is yummy.

Love this place! Magnificent views and great food. One of the best vegan breakfasts I've had (tattie scones, haggis and sausage). Highly recommended!

Had a lovely birthday lunch with the family. Beautiful place and views, lovely food and great staff. 2nd time here. Last time great too- at teatime. Will try the breakfast menu next time. Thank you for a lovely meal xx

Thank you for a great breakfast yesterday morning. Everything was just right - couldnt fault it. Hope Shona keeps her steps up!!

First visit last week. The staff were excellent and very attentive to our questions, having dogs with us we used the outside space with the heated benches (Nice touch) although the outside menu is limited which was a slight disappointment but still managed a great lunch served very quickly and hot. Views are fantastic and with their excellent hot chocolate and coffee we had a great 1zt visit and will be back. There are also complimentary blankets if required for outdoor use
