Been here several times now to walk the dogs, what a beautiful area. The beach is stunning and there's small wooded areas for the dogs to play and get shelter when it's hot. Parking is adequate and some is free. Several little paths from the car park to get you down onto the beach and once down there, you can walk all the way to the harbour. It's usually quiet on weekdays and that's when I love to go.

Stunning area of nature.
Newly made natural beach. Wild, beautiful, quiet.
Dog friendly. Paid parking (or free if you’re lucky).

There is the beach, various wooded areas and a nature reserve.

Cockle and mussel beds for picking a feed 🙂

Lovely quiet beach with fab views of North Gower. Backed by lush foliage, sand dunes and the coastal path, it's a pleasant respite for walkers, dreamers, joggers and cyclers alike!

I heard a whisper that the location of one or the earliest wind turbines and its foundations had turned up. I remembered some 20 to 30 years ago there was a test centre on another site nearby. So had to go and see. Nice beach and area anyway. Pembrey Country park also near by. Lots of wildlife birds cycle paths ect. So get your boots on..fill your flask and take some provisions. You are going to be out for a while.

Love, love, love coming here. Sometimes, we just sit in the car and enjoy the view while having a fish and chip supper. Other times, we sit on the bench watching the tide come in and just let the calming, tranquillity of the view, and the water soothe the stresses of the day.

Beautiful beach with acres of flat sand when the tide is out. First visit here and it was absolutely stunning.

Beautiful! A huge beach, clean and dog friendly. Tide was out when we visited so able to walk from a carpark through woodland onto beach, then across the beach to the harbour. Return walk was along path as tide had come in!
Plenty of car parks available.

Beautiful place to spend time here. One thing to be very aware of, is the incoming tide. It can get people in to difficulty if going out on to the sand banks

An unexpected gem. Beautiful sandy beach that extends for miles and with the added bonus of estuary views to die for. There is something for everyone from kids to pensioners, dog walkers to bike riders. Parking is available overlooking the marina or directly next to the beach. Easy access to the beach via the old slipway. Refreshments are available from the car park tea van or if you prefer a lovely tea rooms. Well worth a family visit and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy.

Love it! Can not get a better beach walk. Extreme tides make this landscape different everytime. If I'm not looking for mussels, I'm trying to decipher what birds I'm looking at the shore line. And if you have dog, you are laughing, they love this beach. And yes they are allowed on it! Good luck. V

I really like this beach. It's rarely busy, has a nice holiday feel to it, has some great wildlife, especially the Sand Martins, and Burry Port is a lovely spot to grab some chips, an ice cream or a poor of tea and some Welsh cakes.
