The Ashburnham Hotel

We hadn't been to the Ashburnham for over eleven years having had a bad experience with the previous owners.
Last night after a bad experience in another local restaurant we called down to the hotel to see if there was a table available luckily there was and the service and food was ace, we certainly will be back!

Such a lovely owner and a beautiful place for a meal. Great prices at the carvery and the food was fantastic. They even offer vegan and vegetarian carvery options. Loved it...

Amazing stay! Lovely surprise on arrival to have been upgraded. Such a comfortable room and staff all so friendly!

We had a family meal on Friday 5th January, the staff are exceptional and very welcoming. A lovely warm cozy feel we ate in the conservatory area. Food was lovely and plenty we will definitely be revising. Thank you 😊

Had a lovely family lunch to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. Cannot fault the food , staff were friendly and helpful . I highly recommend it 😀

We got married here 14/8/23 and everything was just perfect. Kathy was a very reassuring and capable presence! The day went without a hitch with everything running on time, the team took care of us and of the set up beautifully. Food was amazing as always - the hotel is an hour away from us but we make occasional visits anyway just for the food! All the staff are so friendly and made us feel really at home. A wonderful place with wonderful people

Me and my wife got married here yesterday. What an unbelievable day it was kathy was absolutely fantastic and helped us every step of the way through the planning and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. The staff were all superb and the food was delicious hats off to the chefs. I would recommend ashburnham to anyone who is looking to get married cause the day was wonderful. From start to finish you were outstanding with our wedding. Kath and the team delivered a perfect day without fault or complaint, food was delicious and went down with all guest's especially the beef dinner

We've eaten here regularly and the food is consistent and good. The carvery is a treat, well cooked meat and crispy roasties. The staff are polite and friendly, particularly the meet and greet staff at the door.

We visited the hotel on Sunday for a lunch party of 70+ guests. As we had received poor reports of recent experiences we were sceptical. However, the carvery lunch and sweet were excellent - just like it used to be - so normal service ihas been resumed. Everybody has an off day!

Stayed here for one night (20th-21st August) whilst in the area for a concert at Pembrey Country Park and this hotel was absolutely perfect for the location, peace and quiet on my solo trip
The room was very clean and hotel throughout was spotless I arrived later than I had planned to check in due to trains being delayed and cancelled the staff were fab, friendly, helpful and accommodating to me
I found this hotel on booking .com and booked a while ago as I had my sights set on staying somewhere close to the town and not too far from the Country Park for the show I was going to see and I was so happy to discover it was right on the doorstep to the beach, nature, nice neighbourhood and enjoyed my stay here
The price was very affordable and facilities in my room were efficient and my little break was just what I needed I would definitely recommend and return here in the future when I plan my next trip hopefully for a few days next time as time flew by
Thankyou to the manager and hotel staff for making my stay comfortable and stress free nothing is too much trouble for them, they go out of their way to help tourists with directions and advice and I was so grateful to them for their kindness

Dated bathroom,poor shower but don't let this deter you excellent customer service loads of safe parking excellent view in our room anyway,very clean, good maid service plenty of tea,coffee and milk in your room and breakfast was to die for full Welsh on nice hot plates and excellently cooked with good coffee served, good beer and great location for miles of superb sandy beaches and we had lovely sunshine all week (5) nights
As for the restaurant we had only one meal and sorry to say we did not enjoy it.
Different chef I guess from the mornings.
Cold plates over cooked and burnt steak chips instead of new potatoes lamb well done and spoilt veg was coldish did we complain no just never ate there again apart from breakfast.
Still I recommend the hotel for all the other great items listed above and the cost was very good.

Very nice lunch in the conservatory. Excellent staff delicious food in a very good location. Meals very reasonably priced. Lots of dates with arranged entertainment for the future, booking probably essential. Considering hospitality has had such a difficult time during covid this place has a lot to offer. Recommended.

We enjoyed a delicious carvery at the Ashburnham Hotel, the staff were very nice and couldn't do enough to help. We will definitely return if we holiday in that area again.

We had our wedding in the Ashburnham hotel and the wedding reception .
The staff were amazing, the layout was beautiful, the meal was outstanding.
I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a venue for their special day as they certainly made our day and evening a memorable one. Xxx
