Continental Crumbs

This bread is absolutely heavenly!
We were on a UK roadtrip and being german weren’t happy with what they sell as bread over here in general.

So we started to look for some kind of german bakery and found Continental Crumbs among some others

We gave it a go since we were kind of in the region and were blown away by the taste and quality.

We went for onion and cheese and a rye bread. Both are incredibly delicious.

If you are looking for “real bread” don’t look any further get some at Continental Crumbs.

Proper bread, like bread is supposed to be (before supermarkets mass produced their version). A very friendly team, who can even make their loaves in flours to suit you - just picked up a garlic & herb bread made with spelt flour & it is delicious (somehow managed to stop myself going back for a 4th slice). Have tried a variety of their loaves & cakes all of which have been fab. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely bread and pastries. I travel to buy it and it's worth every mile. My favorite is the loaf with pumpkin seeds on top, so nutty and flavoursome when toasted.

A great service and fantastic quality product. I ordered from Leicester and received the product promptly and well packaged. It is a delight to have some great Rye Bread and the salami focaccia was a delight. I would recommend to all, support your local businesses, even if they are a couple of hundred miles away!

I got two slices of the German plum cake to bring home to my German girlfriend who is mad about plum cake and I can report it went down extremely well! Hope to see you back in Totnes again!

The bread from this bakery is first rate, and every other product of theirs that I have tried too, for that matter. I feel very lucky to have them just down the road.

Their bread and especially the rolls are amazing. How lucky are we to have this bakery on our doorstep.
