Allied Pharmacy - Ashburton

Contrary to previous reviews, I would like to commend the relatively new pharmacy assistant. I popped in as I had acquired some back pain from overdoing it in the gym. She talked me through various pain reliefs, the pricing, and went above and beyond, suggesting I research some stretches that may improve things. Alongside having considerable knowledge, I found her to be polite, professional, warm and friendly. I believe she's a credit to Allied Pharmacy, and if in need, would not hesitate to visit again. The rest of the team are great too, despite being under a lot of pressure. You're vital to the community, so keep up the good work!

Always use the pharmacy it's disappointing when it comes to communication from the surgery to the pharmacy but I've never had an issue with any of the staff, always been helpful and doing everything they can to help.
The staff deserve a lot more respect and credit for what they do and how much they deal with daily it isn't the staff's fault for if there is lack of communication from the surgery.

After trying to locate a medication in Plymouth, I happened to call this store, and they had the medication I needed. When I got to the store with my prescription, I thought there would be a wait, instead, I received my prescription within 5 minutes. What great service, definitely better than my local pharmacy in Plymouth

I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was collecting my prescription from Allied Pharmacy. The staff are very helpful and go above and beyond to source my prescription. Thank you for an efficient and friendly service.

Very friendly staff

I have visited Allied pharmacy many times and have found their new staff to be very helpful and friendly.
It’s a pity that some customers I have witnessed can get cross and impatient towards the staff . I was in there last week and heard other customers get very irate about no medication in stock or when their prescription hasn't arrived from the surgery. it's not the fault of the staff if medication isn't available. People can be so rude and angry when something isn't there, when all the staff are doing is passing on messages to the customer. The staff are not paid enough to have to tolerate such venom ! More tolerance and understanding is needed

I really like the staff in the chemist and I know they have a difficult job but the young lady that works there now is so miserable, I do my best to make a joke when prescription isn't there as I know it's hard for them. Shop is always empty when I have to be served by her so no need to be so sullen. She is an absolute misery with no people skills and I am only just making happy polite conversation. Sorry but if I had a personal question for medication I would rather ask the wall. All the other staff are so lovely, couldn't praise them enough but she is just awful. I don't normally complain but her miserable horrible attitude has made me redirect prescriptions to a different pharmacy. We all find our jobs difficult at times but I could not be any more friendly and patient. A disgrace really

My experience is the same as previous reviewer. Customer service is shocking and such a.disconnect from the local surgery. No smile or eye contact, when confirmed my name for my prescription they said they hadn't received it. I asked when they might and they said they don't know and to come back later. I said that I lived a drive away and could they indicate when I should come back. She said I don't know. I started to cry because I was in such desperate need for my medication and she wasn't helping. She then said even if we did have it now we wouldn't be able.to.process it because it's lunchtime. I'm not sure if she thought she was helping, but it just felt like I proper kick. Awful experience.

The service is poor, never have the medicine in when ordered, today was a long queue and people being turned away also one of the staff was rude to to a customer in front as didn’t have their order ready and when said could she call to find out if it was in, the member of staff was rude and said too busy to answer the phone, I know they are doing flu and Covid jabs now, but this. Isn’t the first time this has happened, find the staff to be rude when customer have queued for a long time to get the “computer says no” smirky response!
