British Raj Sittingbourne

On being welcomed to the British Raj by both Ifti and Shab I was seated and made to feel very comfortable and valued as a customer even before I looked at the menu.

The customer service and quality of food are absolutely fantastic at the British Raj.

I've not enjoyed a Chicken Chat Puri and Chicken Tikka pathia with a Rice as much as I enjoyed the meal here ! The chefs have truly perfected the spices and flavours to create amazing food here.

Both Ifti and Shab were genuine friendly and very customer focused. This is what a true established local business should be like without hesitation.

I would highly recommend Anyone visit the British Raj for a sit down meal as you will not regret it my visit here was so good I will definitely become a regular customer as I support business like this and the lasting impressions all the staff here left me and the quality of food as well.

As usual great service with a lovely clean and fresh feel with new layout of white linen cloth on the tables and mirrored lit background decor simply adds to the overall absence and as usual great tasting food and a good selection of drinks with very polite and attentative service.
Great value for money, and my guests are amazed when they try the lovely selection of different curries available.
A surprise finish and good end to the evening were the free Baileys drink and Brandy with Orange chocolate pieces to finish.
A great night out for special occasions.
Good to shake hands with everyone, including the chef on departure to say thank you for it all.

The British Raj (at the time of writing) accepts Meerkat Meals 2-for1 on main dishes. Having not been to this curry house in a while we thought we'd give it a go. The noises of appreciation from around the table were confirmation of how I felt, that the food was really good. I decided I would try a selection of their vegetable dishes and these were all full of flavour and - in the case of the vegetable pathia - excellently spiced. As well, they even have non-alcoholic beer available. The average price (using the Meerkat offer) was £20 per head including drinks. Card payments are accepted here, and the staff were very friendly - we even got to shake the hand of the head chef! I will definitely be going again.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived and was served by a polite and attentive lady. The food was both fabulous and of very generous portions. All washed down with a couple of Cobra lagers, which were on draft. Drinks, poppadoms, starters and mains for 2 with a bill under £50. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend 👌🏻

Amazing as always and the waiting staff were exceptional tonight, both Ash and Ifty were both attentive and professional in start to finish.

Have eaten in the restaurant lots of times over the years and enjoyed it, so thought I’d try a takeaway rather than the usual go to restaurants.

Food arrived in around 20 mins after order via just eat.
What can I say. Absolutely fantastic food. . Packed full of flavour and nice and hot.
I was also greeted with a smile when I opened the front door 😀
Will definitely order a takeaway from here again

Had a Christmas dinner with a difference this year,had a wonderful meal here Christmas day, fantastic food,great service, will definitely do it again next year. Thanks to all the staff for making our Christmas meal memorable.

Had a meal last night and it was the best Indian I’ve had in a very long time. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was immaculate and the food was perfect. Will definitely be revisiting as soon as possible .

Met up with old friends last night at British Raj and was once again greeted by the owner Shab who hosted us really well, recommending dishes for our taste. King Cobra highly recommended but let him know you’re coming and he will put some on ice for you. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the beer and wine and the atmosphere. Not for the first time we were last to leave. Will visit again soon

Tonight was our first experience of the British Raj, what a total delight. We ordered on the phone and they were polite and efficient. The food arrived with the time span we were told by a very polite and cheery delivery chap. The food was all correct and tasted devine - also very reasoniblely priced for the quality of the food - thank you British Raj - you have two new fans. Great East Hall

I have to admit. I was searching a long time for good Indian food and British Raj surprised me with the highest standard of service and the food was absolutely stunning. I'll definitely be back to dine here and I'll recommend to others. Thank you again for unbelievable taste.

I'm working in this restaurant half year, food is always very nice and delicous , customers very lovely and amways seeing them coming back more than welcome come to this restaurant to eat lovely and warm food !!! 😍👋 sometimes we are bussy sometimes we are quet but still this restaurant is the best and the best food ,my favourite one is chicken tikka, kaju chicken and ch biriani so lovely! Sometimes we are very busy and we do the best we can to make our customes happy and make sure the food is warm ! ♥

Used to go here quite often, but it went downhill and had a couple of poor experiences. BUT returned for the first time in a while to find new management and staff and a very pleasant experience! Food and service has vastly improved and will definitely be back again!

I used to go to Curry Queen every time, but since I've eaten here recently, the food, service and price are way better. I think curry Queen has got too expensive and too busy, not to mention they forgot part of my order last time!
