Great little hike took us about 35-45 to get to the top from the free carpark with some of the beat veiws no your way and really interesting story of how the stones got to be where they are (but I'll let you Google that part )

This site has dramatic scenery for such a relatively accessible location. Panoramic views can be had, on a clear day, across to Dartmoor's high ground. The unique weathering and erosion of the granite has produced almost lenticular shaped rocks, seemingly balanced on top of each other.
Walk a short distance and you have two stone circles, engine houses, a quarry to swim in and a pub to enjoy. Great place for adults and children alike, just take all your litter home and leave no trace.

Not to be missed when visiting this part of Cornwall. About a mile walk from the car park but worth it.

A great view from the top after a gentle walk from the car park. Quite exposed on the top.

Awesome views! From the parking place it's quite an easy walk up and the views are magnificant. Absolutely worth it, and it's nice to have all the animals around you during the walk.

Great place to walk. Every time we come we see something new or take a different path. Can get windy but plenty of places to shelter.

Beautiful views and nice walk for everyone depending on your chosen route. Went on a wet and windy day but still looked amazing and enjoyed the whole place.
Wildlife is scattered everywhere as expected for the animal lovers.

Absolutely magical! We recently honeymooned in the area and are so glad our family took us here. The wild ponies and sheep who wandered the granite spotted terrain were just charming, and we even made a friend. It was a lovely walk and the stones were so impressive and the view of all the surrounding area of Corwall was fantastic. One of our favorite spots. Bring a jumper, it gets windy up on the hillltops.

Absolutely gorgeous. Even in bad weather the view from up there is incredible, and well worth the extra walk from the stone circles - took us just over an hour round trip and we are not particularly active and stopped for lots of photos and exploring up on the hill. Was incredibly windy up there though so make sure you're prepared - and we managed to get caught in a low cloud so got a bit damp too!

A medium walk up gently slopping hills gets you to the top of Stowe's Hill where you get a magnificent view fo the surrounding countryside. On the way up you will pass several stone circles, burial sites, living quarters and a quarry. The hill boasts some magnificent granite rock formations that have weathered over time. It is a challenge climbing them - watch your step!

Plenty of free parking in the town, breathtaking views from the top of the hill, lovely walks and refreshing baths in the quarry lakes. All of this within only a few square miles, just outside Minions 15 minutes from the A38. We thoroughly enjoy visiting every time, love the sheep and the cows but be mindful of the wasps tho, there are loads here for some reason.

Historical gem of the Cornish highlands, from the neolithic to the industrial age and the post industrial landscape there today. The final crane positions of the quarrymen and the train tracks that used to haul the granite are still visible.

On a clear day you can see for miles, on a misty day the atmosphere is heightened still. A perfect small walk along the along the old miners rail route, great for young adventurers.

What a beautiful place with mysterious rock formations. We were here with our three children (2,6,8). They loved the adventure and hiking!

A beautiful tranquil spot of Bodmin Moor. Well worth the walk from the car park at the minions centre. In July take a bit of insect repellant with you as the horse flies etc are a bit frisky. The walk to the summit is easier than is looks fro the path viewing in the distance.

The last little section is walking amongst sma rocks etc and the walk generally is for people with mobility issues.
