5 stars doesn't do this place justice. Outstanding us one word. There is virtually nothing to fault here. Service is exceptional, led by the owner Peter. He is an absolute gentleman who has some incredible stories to tell. The other staff are all a delight. Friendly, knowledgeable, from reception to the gardener! The decor is stunning, and quite simply the best hotel I've ever stayed at. It may appear pricey, but that's because of only 9 rooms, there is high demand.
Myself and my wife will definitely return, and my advice would be to give this place a go as its an experience not to be missed!

Very unusual decor in this country house with themed bedrooms and dining rooms.
Had a birthday afternoon tea in the Churchill room, one of the best we've ever had (and we've had plenty!).
The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is no rush to get you out.
The price is on the expensive side but worth every penny and makes any occasion very special.
Book soon as there is a story that the owners are going to stop being a hotel and restaurant in the new year. Best to ring and check. Lovely place.👍

We stayed a night and had an evening dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the following morning. From the moment we walked through the door the staff were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed every second of our stay here at Glazebrook House. The decor is unique and stunning and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Everything was spotless too! I cannot recommend this place enough and the food we had was delicious and beautifully presented. Really wish we could come back again!!

Today we experienced the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. Honestly it was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We had our igloo in the gardens with a beautiful view. Literally a perfect day.

The staff as always were so welcoming and attentive.

The food tasted as good as it looked and as you can see from the photo it looked darn good!!

I highly recommend this experience. In my mother’s words.... faultless.

We had the high tea. £25.00 PER HEAD. expensive but worth it.
Beautiful delicacies, perfectly cooked. Liked the gardens and dining room and staff. Especially taken with the loos, very luxurious and liked the picture of man sking downhill naked! I think who ever is responsible for the decor has a sense of humour. Love to stay there as a treat.

Glazebrook House is a very quirky hotel, really enjoyed the experience. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, very friendly and helpful. We had an afternoon tea when we arrived, which had a good variety of sandwiches and cakes with the most delicious scones. We also had an evening meal, again the food was of top quality. Ideal for a special occasion. Would highly recommend.

What a Wonderful wonderland. We stayed overnight as a wedding night treat and were thoroughly spoiled. Chloe, on reception, was a real treasure, making us feel welcome from the offset. Nothing was too much trouble. The White Rabbit room was good fun, very plush, with a fabulous, really comfortable bed and a funky end suite including huge free standing bath and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was delicious and a warm, friendly event. The waitress was efficient and thoughtful with the perfect level of attentiveness. The owner gave us a personal welcome making us feel like valued guests. It was lovely. The gardens were a real treasure and it was a treat to sit in them soaking up the sun, listening to the birds and enjoying the beautiful flowers and trees. It's a quirky little place that wraps you up with a lovely warm welcome. Treat yourself and create some lovely memories.

My sisters, our parents and myself went for an afternoon of cream teas. Its such an amazing place, with beautiful gardens. The whole place is stunning inside and out and the staff are awesome. Every single whim of ours was catered for. One of my sisters has dairy intolerance, so Glazebrook is the very first place that my sister has been able to indulge in the lovely food as they cater to your requirements. Easy parking and disabled access and bathroom facilities. Just an outstanding place. Loved our time there. Would absolutely love to go back for another visit.

Well decorated hotel, fully furnished by Timothy Oulton. A small but well presented dinner menu. A fully stocked bar. Complementary mini bar, well sized and equipped rooms. Only 9 rooms so feels intimate. Unfortunately closing as a hotel in New year, private events only.

A beautifully placed country house with a lovely garden near South Brent. The luncheon was exceptional with a wonderful choice of menu and course items. Service was very friendly and helpful and the ambience was perfect for the occasion. Would thoroughly recommend the Glenbrook as worth a visit.

Beautiful, quirky hotel in a good setting. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The small number of rooms and warm welcome from the owner and staff really made this hotel feel cozy and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are served in a small, well furnished dining room, and the food is consistently delicious. Overall a real Devon gem, and highly recommended.

Really lovely out of the way restaurant attached to a small boutique hotel. Nicely decorated in a modern style.

Food was fantastic. I had a really lovely Ploughman's lunch which was one of the best I have ever had (and I have had a lot of Ploughman's ) ...See picture.

The service and dessert were first class, as was the Gin and tonic .

Fully recommend this place for a treat, worth travelling for.

Came hear for a baby shower and had afternoon tea with a group of around 20 woman. all the food was very tasty and there was a nice variaty for the vegetarian choice. The meal had a choice of savory and sweet. The food was fresh and of a good standard. The scones although a little small were fresh out of the oven.Toilets were immaculate and considering the decor hear I didn't find any dust. The hotel has a tastefully done Alice in wonderland theme and everywhere you look there is interesting decor to look at. Parking is plentiful. Staff were helpful and polite.

The Glazebrook house hotel in my opinion is fantastic, from the moment you enter the hotel with its quirky interior to it individually designed rooms you won't be disappointed. The staff can't do enough for you and as for the food it is some of the best food our group has had. If you're in that part of Devon you can't go wrong with this hotel and I would highly recommend it.

An amazing hotel and great staff. Really well decorated inside with quirky but stunning furniture and very attentive staff. The food was excellent and the service was the same. A great place for a quirky but unforgettable visit. Didn't stay but the rooms on the website look just as flamboyant but very well done.

On our first trip to the UK two years ago, I made very fond memories at a high tea, which was my first experience. On our recent trip back in September, attending another high tea was on my list of things to do and friends of ours selected Glazebrook House. Let me tell you - the experience you get here is so much more than dining. We had made an error in our reservation, and despite being a bit busy, the team was gracious and understanding. They allowed us to wait in the lounge while they set a table for us. Very friendly and accommodating! The laid table was beautiful - as was the decor in the remainder of the main floor. It really feels like a special occasion! The food - there are not enough words to describe the exceptional quality and variety of the items on the table. My favourites were the passionfruit curd tart (which I have been painstakingly trying to recreate since returning home to Canada) and the eclair (or profiterole). Their pastry cream was rich and creamy, and the choux was firm but so light. It is a delicate balance! Step outside after a bite to eat and explore the beautifully manicured grounds with stunning colours. You can tell that the property is managed with pride. It was like stepping into a storybook. We had such a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Lovely hotel and gardens had a lovely afternoon tea for two, food was lovely and although it was warm it was an enjoyable atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was so peaceful and the garden igloo is a lovely touch to the hotel.

The Glazebrook was a perfect experience. The rooms, the staff, the food, the facilities and the grounds were all perfect. The stay was very memorable for all the right reasons. I can't recommend it highly enough. We were welcomed by Chloe from the moment we walked in and we're positively charmed until the moment we left.

The only words to describe this boutique hotel and one of kind is “outstanding”! It is my favourite hotel in Devon and definitely worth a stay…! All the staff team cannot do enough for their guests. They went over and beyond for my partner’s 70th birthday albeit being delayed due to Covid 19 lockdowns. They made my partner and friends party of 4 extra special and precious. Thank you so much for spoiling us with chocolates, homemade birthday cake, card and of course your attentive service!! Afternoon tea was out of this world. Until the next time! Just pure awesome!!!
