Really good place for all birds and advise friendly staff

Whilst visiting a well-known department store with a view to buying a bird, I met 3 other customers that told me to go to Sign Of The Owl. They said that I would probably find a good bird there and for a better price! Also, they would answer any questions I might have and they always put the welfare of the birds first. This was backed up by the department assistant... off the record!
They weren't wrong, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered (and I had many) and I felt confident in making a purchase. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I explained that I needed a few days to get the room ready for the bird and they gave me a week, as they said that the birds welfare must come first!
I also would like to thank Derek, who patiently answered all of my questions. I'm just starting out, but with their help and guidance, I know I can make a success of this.
So my journey begins and they now have another life long customer!
I rate them 5 Stars for their first class service!!!

Amazing place has been for the last 10 years we have been going there. Got our first bird from these and had many more over the years. Today I had a baby conure and omg what an amazing bird. Just want to say a big thank you and will continue to visit.always made to feel welcome and the staff just go above and beyond x

I bought a hand reared baby pineapple conure and after only 1 day he is so happy to be handled hes very sweet and playful and I'm so pleased with him. Hes exactly what I wanted and has settled in so well. Would highly recommend their hand reared birds.

What an amazing shop great friendly staff also very helpful and a great selection off birds 🐦they have stocked up on more toys and also have little goats 🐐. They do really love there animals and look after them I would go anywhere else now .thanks all

A good place to go for all types of Avery birds, from budgies , finches and large parrots 🦜 like macaws, to a variety of chickens , also all birds needs, tricky to find but it's off the A38 near Ivybridge. Worth a visit.

Excellent service. Ordered a hutch, it was built exactly as I envisioned it, very well made, great craftsmanship, very sturdy, well worth the money. A very big thank you for getting it to me so quickly.

Love this place sells good quality fairly priced poultry and many other birds, also everything you could possibly need to house, feed and care for your birds.

Not what I expected but presently surprised. Fantastic range of birds, food, runs and shelter for you newly acquired feathered friend. The staff are really friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable.

Lovely place to visit, Plenty of stock, very clean and tidy. Served by a lovely lady short hair and glasses really made me feel at home in the shop.

Lovely place and have bought a parrot hand tamed plus my partner has bought 2 ferrets very friendly staff and very helpful nothing is to much trouble for them definitely recommended to anyone looking for a feathered friend
