Homestead Lake Park

We stayed on the camping pitches in our Campervan. We really enjoyed our stay in some of the most beautiful locations. There is a large fishing lake in the grounds, plus all the facilities you need when camping.
There is a large camping accessory shop, which sells everything you could possibly need. Plus a cafe which caters for all tastes.
The reception staff, we're so helpful.
Well done, guys, for a beautifully manicured and managed site. We will return again soon.

Excellent caravan park near Clacton on sea.
We have just returned home to Wales after another lovely week at Homestead Lake.
Can I suggest two things as ideas to make a stay even better? 1. Please stop people walking straight through the Lakeside pitches. It's ignorant and not nice, especially when we are sat out around a table eating a meal. One woman when challenged just kept walking, shouting, I LIVE HERE.
2. A Launderette of some sort would be good. Just one washer and one drier would suffice I reckon.

Lovely touring park. Peaceful but things to do and look at. It's a fishing lake but even if you're not fishing there's bird life etc and it's a beautiful view. Toilet and shower block on site - cafe serving a good selection, caravan shop and sales ...it's literally got everything ! We will be back - oh and dog friendly 😁

Only went to their excellent cafe for breakfast. Usual on way home from shopping.

Love this little gem of a site! Lovely cafe on site and a good accessory shop. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent pitches, not over crowded, plenty to see and do outside the site, good central location. Excellent fishing lake. Wish they were open all year!

We visited the caravan shop for some chairs and bits. The stock was overwhelming . The prices as you'd expect were slightly elevated but you can touch and feel the products before buying them rather than buying blind over the internet.Great cafe where dogs are welcome.

We chose Homestead Lake Park for a friend to come visit us, after researching and reading reviews. Barry stayed for 4 nights here and said it was one of the best pitches he'd been to, if not the best! We found the place was spotless, extremely well looked after, it had everything he needed and all the pitches were lovely. At night the lake is lit up and looks stunning, the facilities were faultless. Highly recommend Homestead Lake to anyone, Barry has already booked for July he was so impressed. Top quality Caravan Park. Although not the cheapest place to stay you get top quality. From the moment you arrive at Reception to the moment you leave everything is perfect.
All staff are polite and helpful, the pitches are ample with full services next to you, grass is like a bowling green throughout.
There is ample space to walk your dog for at least half an hour, and still be on site.
The fishing lake is very popular with proper fishing points and is stocked with plenty of Carp, Roach, Bream, etc.
There is a Cafe on site which serves good quality food at a very reasonable price. Also a huge accessories shop that sells everything caravan/motorhome related. They stock a good selection of caravans and motorhomes to buy.
Highly recommended and we shall certainly return.

Nice campsite, nice area, friendly staff. I went here in my caravan alone (unusual for me!!) and my friend and his son brought theirs. The site was well appointed, clean and tidy and the pitch was spacious. It's big enough to go for a ten minute stroll around the picturesque pond, but small enough that we did not feel like cattle. It's near enough to Clacton that we could easily go to the seaside / pier / town, but far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet. A very nice mix. We are talking about doing it again next year, but we want to bring 2 more families with us as well - I guess that says enough about my opinion.

We have been to Homestead Lake Park a few times before this weekend. We live not far away so it's easy for a quick get away. We have to say we love the place! The grounds are very well kept and clean. Although we don't fish we love watching the ducks and geese.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming especially the lovely lady on reception (sorry don't know her name).
Will be back again soon

Didn’t have the caravan we wanted, but Julie was really helpful and looked for us.
The gent looking after the shop was really helpful too and advised on cleaner for our caravan.

Site has large caravn/camping store selling everything you could need if you forgot something.

Cafe on site which had area to dine in with dogs and seperate dining area for no dogs.

We had a are view plot which was hard standing for the caravan and it was electric / water and kitchen waste at the plot.
Plenty of space for awning and car by van

Pitch was lovely as just drove the van straight on

Was level length ways and minor adjustment was needed width ways but we did not have ramps and it made no difference to out stay!

All in all a wonderful 2 night stay for us for the first trip of the season

So clean and well kept.

Looked site over all ok nice area quite lovely lake with fishing nice cafe quality food at reasonable price and shop for camper and caravan spares and equipment

Favourite caravan park. Staff very pleasant. Been going here for 10 years or more. Fishing on the slow side but who cares when you are enjoying peace and quiet in lovely surroundings.

We randomely chose this park for it's closeness to some friends who were visiting from Florida, does it have ehu and showers? ✔yep good enough for us, but it turned out to be one of the best sites we've stayed at! Neatly cut grass (no cuttings in the van👍🏻) spotless bathrooms, beautiful landscaping, soooo peaceful, excellent internet and a cafe serving a super full English. We really REALLY enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back to enjoy it again.

Had a fantastic break here using the event field. The facilities were brilliant and and the on site cafe was a real bonus. Can't wait to book for next year.

Nice clean site, well equipped caravan shop. Large , well stocked fishing lake.
Shower block basic but very clean, happy to recommend.

I am giving 5 stars but not for the campsite as we didn't go on it.we went to the camp site shop and this is a great shop for all your camping needs.it seems to have everything. But I can't say if it stocks tents as we have a camper and I didn't look for tents.but it definitely has everything else needed for camping or caravans or motor homes.

Absolutely luvly, best breakfast I've had in a long side. Staff luvly too. Nice and clean. Will be going back for sure.
