Had a lovely Sunday roast here today, with family. Despite being really busy, the staff were very efficient and helpful. The sirloin of beef was cooked to perfection, medium rare, my husband had the roast lamb, which was equally well cooked, he also said he had some sort of shredded lamb served with it, which was extremely tasty, any chance of the recipe please?? 😊 the veggies were also well cooked, just right, I normally find they're normally practically raw in most restaurants but these were lovely and not crunchy....
A nice selection of desserts with some different things for a change...beware these are large!!!!.
A lovely meal with family, and very well cooked, despite the pub being full.
Doggy friendly (you wouldn't know our dog was there, he just lays under the table)
Good size car park.

Fantastic family pub popped in Sunday for a bite to eat and a drink didn't have a roast but must say saw some going past, looked lovely had some cooked snacks they were excellent bar staff and service staff were so friendly good choice of drinks the pub has a lovely front beer garden. when we parked in the car park we were greeted by 3 deer just standing in the field looking at us I would definitely recommend although the food looked amazing it did seem a little expensive ..but they do say you get what you pay for so maybe next timx😋👍

We arrived for an early lunch and were warmly greeted by our waitress. The service throughout was great. We chose a starter and two sides each for our mains. They were fresh and delicious and we couldn't resist the desserts. Well done, The Exchquer - we'll be back!

Special family celebration meal last night for 14 of us and The Exchequer did not let us down.
We've been coming here for years and it has always green good but last night was special. Food, atmosphere and staff were perfect.

I was keen to share this as I am aware the reviews haven't been great recently and we were told they had issues in the kitchen. However, today, we went for a family meal with a guest from NZ.
They service was polite and attentive with a larger than life character who added that extra fun.
Food was delicious, hot and generally excellent for the price. The Grosvenor Burgers were delicious, as was the sausage and mash and Thai Curry. The Chicken Cesar was perhaps the only slight disappointment, don't get me wrong, it was delicious and the Romaine lettuce heart with parmesan and anchovie crumb was stunning. It was only disappointing as compared to the other dishes it didn't seem much for the price. It wasn't a massive piece of chicken and it only came with the lettuce and a few sticks of asparagus but it was more expensive than all the other dishes. It was incredibly tasty and I won't critise it for that.
Would highly recommend this delightful place.

Two hot summer evenings running. Dined inside once and in beer garden once. Good choice of food and daily special deal.good portions - you certainly won't feel hungry after your meal. Lovely ambience. View over fields (viewings of deer both nights) at back and lovely front garden by quiet road at front. Dogs allowed in bar area or anywhere outside but not in inside dining area. Some limitations on range of tap beers but no real problem. Easy disabled/ wheelchair access with ramp up front door. Really enjoyed it.

Great staff, food is delicious. Plenty of parking. We enjoyed ourselves at the Christmas menu tasting event.

Lovely pub/restaurant. Very friendly team. Good selection of drinks and wonderfully tasting food. The fish and chips were exceptional!
Definitely worth a visit or two!!

Sunday lunch in March 2023. You may wonder why I am writing this review so long after the event? The simple truth is we all lead busy lives and finding the time is often difficult. I am currently on holiday and just had a nice lunch here in Fuerterventura but it was not a patch on the family lunch we had back in March at the Exchequer but at least it reminded me to do this review!

We had a family gathering in March (16 of us in total) which included three generations of the family from young grandchildren to not so old grandparents (my wife and I). The service we had was brilliant (thank you Aleiah and Hannah) nothing seemed too much trouble. The food we had was excellent but more than all that the warm welcome we received on arrival and the general atmosphere made this a memorable Sunday lunch.

A wonderful place located in a very nice town. There are few places in the UK as beautiful as this. Quiet, cozy, warm, where the food is exceptional, with a high level of detail and carefully well made. Absolutely all the staff are kind, friendly and caring. Very good prices, hands down the best restaurant in Fleet, I give it a 10/10.

Lunch here today - Steven was super attentive and a credit to the business. The food was exceptional for a casual lunch - duck and watermelon to start and ham and chicken pie. The pastry was incredible, a proper pie and the gravy full of flavor.

Very friendly staff. The food was great for vegans like me, and animal eaters too. I will go back 👍

The Tilford Brewery Red Mist is one of the finest ales I can ever remember drinking. Add in warm sunshine, countryside and Autumn leaves blowing in the breeze makes a special 40mins of relaxing pleasure

Really enjoyed our meal. Came out for anniversary lunch. Staff lovely, food really tasty.

We always wonder why we don’t come here more. The staff are lovely and attentive, and the food here tops as one of the best in the area. Today, I went for the soup of the day, the halloumi ceasar salad and some ice cream and it was all great. Even the random cheesy pasta we ordered for our discerning toddler was great. We were happy toddler was fussy and left us some to finish. We’ll be back again for sure.
