Chicken,leak and ham pie was delicious. Nice portion size and plenty of gravy. Good selection of drinks.
Warm atmosphere with plenty of decking space to look over the lake in the summer.
Given we had a party of 20+ people the service was very good and efficient.
Would recommend this pub.
Prices were reasonable too.

Great atmosphere and very clean. Great atmosphere and nice and warm for the cold weather. The outside looks like it will be amazing in the summer. My only criticism would be that the sizes seemed a little small on the main meal but it was a good food none the less.

Absolutely stunning place!! Me and my mum aren't from the area we had a day at car chase heros which built up quite a apatite so had a little Google search and found this place!!

The pictures on Google does it no justice. We arrived and was like wow!! 😍 Stunning place.

Staff were welcoming as we walked in we didn't pre book and they gave us a table by the window which looks over the water 😍 bet it's stunning in the summer!

Food was delicious 😋 the lamb shoulder literally melted in your mouth 🤤🤤

And the pudding biscoff cheesecake 😋😋

Will definitely be back when we come back into the area!!

Fabulous service from Charlie the waitress looking after our every need. Lovely setting by the lake with a very cosy interior on this wet rainy Sunday afternoon. Loved the decor especially the modified washrooms. 😉😄

Great spot for meal all year long. Great atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake. This place is quite popular so I would recommend to make reservation before you visit.

Really enjoyed our dinner here, the setting is lovely, really well laid out and feels really cozy and such an interesting decoration.
The waitstaff were fabulous and really nice and the restaurant was super busy yet you didn't feel ignored at all, the food was great,generous portions and tasty! Loved the roast and such a wise range of choice on the menus too! Highly recommend to visit.

Took my date here for our first date last Wednesday and came back today. Although that says a lot on its own... The location by the lake is lovely, the interior decor is awesome and the staff are lovely... Especially Audrey our waitress who even wrote a goodbye message on the receipt and was extremely spooked when I said her name 😂 anyway on top of this the food was excellent and the apple crumble tart was 👌

Realllllllly enjoyed The Kingfisher! It totally sneaks up on you. After searching for 'best roast dinner near me', I can confirm it's top notch. The service is excellent. Everyone is so happy to help and the turnaround time is incredible. I was worried I wouldn't get a roast as it was late in the day plus I hadn't booked. Not only did I get one, it came like lightning and was very very tasty (just like your mums they won't tell her so it's cool). I highly recommend. The decor is fantastic and the view over the lake is amazing...I can't wait to come and watch people fall over on the water when it's warmer that's for sure!

Massive shout out to Callie who sorted our table with very short notice! We were welcomed by Ed who said he would look after us during our meal, safe to say he went over and above to make us laugh all evening and provide an excellent service. Everyone around our table were saying how lovely Ed was and he really made the evening for everyone he served. Thank you Ed, we will be back - solely from the service you provided😄

UPDATE: went back yesterday for Sunday lunch and we very disappointed. Food was less than average. Lamb, veggies overcooked, roasties hardly done, Yorkies tasteless. Again great service tho. This time from the very helpful Ella. Wouldn’t go back for food I’m afraid.

This is a super place, not a pub but more like an exclusive restaurant with good old fashioned service and with a bonus….. the staff actually smile at you !
There is a full bar area but I feel most would come here to eat too.
The menu is extensive and there are many excellent dishes created by the in house chef.
Personally I was surprised by the level of service from the lady who appeared to be one of the senior staff, she anticipated all our questions and suggested perfect food and wines to suit our tastes.
It was October and nice weather and so we sat outside and the view across the lake was stunning.
I felt as though I had been whisked away to Switzerland or Austria.
It was so outstanding we have booked again for Christmas lunch.
I couldn’t fault this experience. Very special.

First time visitor, we travelled here from Gloucester for a large family gathering. The service and food were top class.

We were extremely well looked after by Charlie and Audrey, who provided excellent service and made us all feel very welcome. They coped wonderfully with my two year old son running around, various dietary considerations, and Charlie even helped with a massive family photoshoot before we left.

An excellent and engaging space, lovely food delivered in a timely and ordered fashion, and staff who genuinely cared about our experience. Five stars, and a massive thank you.. given the chance, I will happily return.

What a fantastic place. The building and it's decor are wonderfully unique, a mixture of rustic and marine run through the whole building. It overlooks a beautiful lake with lots of outside seating.
The food was superb, a small menu but everything looked great and what we had tasted great too. I had the chorizo starter, my brother had the duck rolls. Our mains were the beef shin and ale pie and the roast cod. Everything was perfect, served by friendly and efficient staff.
