Absolutely stunning makeover for a hidden gem! We are locals and visited a few years ago, and it was nothing compared to what it is now!

The new huge expansion and development of a traditional country pub, but created for the modern demands of customer experience of great food and local produce, captured by natural beautiful surroundings is a 10 out 10!

The staff were really knowledgeable and very helpful. The service was relaxed, and the new extension we sat in was really impressive, and the garden area was picture-perfect for anyone whether socially with family, or friends or romantically, this pub would suite anyone wanting to visit a real country pub tucked away off the beaten track.

The menu offers up some mouth-watering delights, and they have specials every day and offer gluten-free options, which is clearly marked.

The portions are very generous but plated up with care and foodie flare! We enjoyed every mouthful.

It's dog friendly, with free ample parking, and I can imagine this pub will be a hot spot for locals and outside visitors for many years to come.

Fantastic place to visit and enjoy the bounty of local produce and tasty food and wonderful surroundings! Loved our visit. Looking forward to going back 😀 We went back a second time and it was lovely all over again.

Having visited many times for lunch with my mum, we brought my family for Boxing Day lunch.
Food was excellent, staff friendly and atmosphere was great!

Started and finished a ride here. Top food, service and beer in lovely decor and plenty of space - inside, outside and in the car park. Definitely coming back.

Looking for a great pub for food and atmosphere this is the place!
Had an evening meal here on the way to the coast and liked it so much we came back for breakfast. Staff were amazing, friendly and tentative.
Dog friendly with lots of indoor and outdoor dining, plenty of room for the kids to roam about too.
Will certainly be back!

Wonderful country pub serving generous tasty upmarket dishes. Great selection of real ales and IPAs. Excellent service made us comfortable and we were given a choice of tables. By the time we left they were all taken so book early to avoid disappointment. Thoughly enjoyed the scotch egg and short rib of beef.

We booked an extended family of 14 for Sunday lunch and the food and service was exceptional. Talented chefs and great front of house staff made it a lovely day for my dad's 85th birthday. Already looking forward to coming back in the new year

Just had the most delicious roast dinner and dessert. Food was faultless, service was great, can't recommend this place enough. Wish it was closer to home, but will still be returning. Thank you Adam, Yvonne and Duncan....flawless, and the family are in complete agreement!

I think one of the best restaurant in the Winchester area. Food quality is very good and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend book in advance.

Visiting for the first time. Had a warm welcome. We sat in the New dining room. The service was great, I wanted to change mash for chips, no problem. I chose Chicken & Leek pie with vegetables, delicious, pie stuffed with chicken. Mother in Law chose fish and chips, small portion, she thoroughly enjoyed it Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Lovely pub. Warm welcome. Food was wonderful. Nice real fire board games and cards to play - everyone very friendly. Cards only. No cash Recommended.

Fantastic lunch yesterday. Great service provided by Cheryl and Khalid. Mediterranean main dish finished off with, sticky toffee pudding and a flat white. Significant refurbishment of the pub just coming to an end so looking forward to a repeat visit very soon. Thank you once again.

Great food and splendid service. Cosy country pub with garden (although we visited in February, so didn't use it). Pub area and restaurant area, so good choice of atmosphere.

Been here numerous times. Very good quality pub food, I guess even Gastro pub level though I dislike that term. Given the quality, it is more expensive than standard pub grub but worth it. Service is good and attentive. It is regularly very busy and therefore there is much murmuring hubbub which can impact on dinner conversation but to be fair, that is the same anywhere. Recent glazing in of the outdoor seating area is a welcome upgrade. One thing though, the custard jug needs to be 2 or 3 times larger than it currently is. Use the gravy jug size for custard too!

We visited for Sunday lunch after a long dog walk around the local area.
A warm welcome, friendly hosts and brilliant service adds to the exceptional food.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit and look forward to returning!

Pie of the day was minted lamb 🥧 (veggie pie was available too) and was DELICIOUS! We booked a table for lunch as were visiting a nearby national trust place.

The staff were excellent, able to answer all our questions and even came over with a few biscuits for the dog.

We'll definitely be coming back. Just sad we didn't have room for dessert as the choices were good!

We were 10 adults and 4 kids visiting for a Sunday lunch and a birthday. Everything from the booking and pre ordering to service and quality was fantastic. I've been before and I will be back again.

Honestly all I can say is the team have got it right! …The staff are super friendly! The atmosphere is warm! The food is amazing! The garden is beautiful! It’s my go to place to celebrate dinner or enjoy a dog walk and a drink. Thank you again guys will be back soon

Beautiful pub with stunning gardens and views across open countryside. The inside bar area is lovely and cosy. Staff were brilliant and food amazing. Shame it's so far away from us or we'd be regulars.
