We went for lunch after previously calling in for a drink and seeing how good the food was. We weren’t disappointed. Proper pub food and generous portions. You really feel you have had great value without losing quality. Staff could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Definitely going back. Thanks.

Lovely family run pub, delicious food, very comfortable, with helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend The Blacksmiths Arms as a place to stay or for Sunday lunch, which is fabulous. Many thanks I will be back.

I visited here on a rainy Wednesday evening. It soon brightened up with the lovely greeting from the lady behind the bar. Big smile and very welcoming! We ordered fish and chips and fish pie with vegetables. She wanted chips too so we shared our meals. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend. I was so impressed with the food and quick, friendly service, I forgot to take 'photos 🙄. Oh well, good reason to go back another time 👍😁.

This was our second visit to this very friendly and welcoming pub. The owners, service, rooms and food are nothing less than brilliant. The first place we will ever think of when visiting the area. They go the extra mile and it really shows

Nice friendly atmosphere, food looked good although I did not ear. Bar staff very friendly.

We stopped to eat. Dog friendly and welcoming, we were not disappointed. The food was homemade and delicious. Thank you, we will pass by again.

My boyfriend and I spontaneously extended our holiday by an extra day and needed a place to stay last minute. My boyfriend found this pub and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff and owners are absolutely lovely. The pub is currently under renovation so don’t let that put you off, the work they have done is absolutely wonderful. Breakfast the next morning was superb and tasty. Next time I’m in the area will definitely be popping in again. Thank you

We have had the most amazing holiday here. Quite and and cozy but close enough to anything you need. Staff are welcoming, friendly and always ready to answer any concerns you might have. The food is amazing, hot, fresh and tasty! We will be back!

Went for a meal with family, all meals were home cooked and were delicious 😋 and pudding was lovely too

Had a really good stay. A few initial teething problems, which were quickly and efficiently rectified by Emma and Gary. They were great hosts and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time . Would definitely stay again.

Small dog friendly pub that does amazing Sunday roasts. Great portions, best I’ve had in a long time! Roast Potatoes hot and crispy, superb stuffing and lashings if the best gravy I’ve tasted. Staff very friendly and pleasant and a nice roaring fire to keep the chill off. Thanks for a great lunch

Just been invited this cosy little pub for a bite to eat and we're happy we stopped. The service was great and the food was delicious as well as being priced extremely fairly. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay here recently for couple of nights. Very welcoming and so clean. Room was perfect and bed extremely comfortable. Food superb and good choice. Would highly recommend.

First time here today. Amazing service, very friendly staff, delicious food, generous helpings. No food was left. Great atmosphere. Didn't want to leave.

Gary, Emma and Chelsea made us extremely welcome. We held my wife's 50th Birthday party there. Nothing was too much trouble. Warm and friendly service in a lovely old English pub, with an open fire and great atmosphere. Highly recommended

We stayed last night Friday 22 April. We were attending an evening event on the nearby Bluebell Railway . This is a lovely pub/hotel with new owners. We were given a warm welcome and after a long drive we had a really nice tasty lunch . Room was clean and the bed was super comfy. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming and the room prices are great. We will definitely use the Blacksmiths Arms again next time we are in Sussex . Thanks again for a lovely stay.
